how did rooney play in the 2010 WC? did that define his club career? klose is the most successful WC player and yet never had a good club career. lukaku was poor in those 2 games and then brilliant in the 3rd one. match winner if u will. his main role for us this season would be coming up against tired and battered defenders and i think he can do a good job at that!! also the world cup stage comes with some heavily added pressure. some of the greats have flopped in world cups. hazard was a flop too. does not mean we should be saying "thats it. he is done!!!" simply not fair to lukaku.

he is another young one with a potential. even if we buy him, i seriously doubt he ll have much more impact than schurrle/salah did last season. it would be another year of "he needs to adapt to PL" and all that. moreover i expect schurrle to play a massive role like u just explained. even salah to a certain extent. brazil struggled to score with neymar, oscar and hulk as their AMs cos their strikers were fred/jo. any team would struggle to score for fun if they have a past it etoo, floppes and ba as their strikers. i mean can u even imagine what would have happened to the cross that schurrle put in for the gotze goal had it been floppes or ba in place of gotze? not saying costa will be scoring such class goals day in and day out but the scoring and creating burden will be shared by costa. we added willian and schurrle to oscar, mata, hazard and kdb and it meant us having to sell mata and kdb. jose has had time and again that he likes a small 20 player squad. and that is what we have now. buying griezmann will be another overkill. also with us rumored to be buying tiago, selling lukaku and then buying greizmann as the 6th AM, we would not be able to fill our HG quota.

so a 21 year old getting dropped for a 19 year old means he simply wont get better than he currently is?

if that happens, then i will simply name it as a mistake!!! saf sold pogba, won the league and yet it is named as his biggest mistake, blunder if you will. we are in a similar predicament if not worse. if we sell lukaku, then we have a floppes and a costa who is yet to play a game for us (yet to be signed). he can be brilliant like DD, or average like anelka or a dud like sheva. 1/2/3 seasons down the road, we might find ourselves looking for another 50/60mil striker while having sold lukaku for 20mil and sturridge for 12mil. like i said before, i feel selling ba means we are keeping lukaku.

i know dude. but if we were selling him to ATM and buying mandzukic to replace him, i would have been the happiest!! but right now which striker can replace lukaku who has shown that despite his big mouth, he has what it takes to be a great striker one day, who is already PL proven, who scored 32 goals in PL in the last 2 seasons. and its not just about simply coming off the bench. the 2nd striker (whoever that it) will be getting plenty of starts and gametime. he needs to be managed. he is a young man and is acting like a spoilt boy!!! jose needs to earn his money by "managing" this guy properly!!! thats how i see it!!

he will do what the club and jose want him to do. i would rather have that a hungry and to prove-himself LUKAKU comes off the bench when we are 1-1 at the 60th minute rather than selling/loaning him and making torres our no.2 striker.

i think torres will be 3rd choice. no way jose will make the same mistake as last season. lukaku will be 2nd choice.

dont need him!!! dont want him!!! we are set in the AM department, if we really wanna go out and do a luxury signing, we can do so in getting a 3rd CB (rather than having zouma/omerou play the 3rd CB role) or buy vidal/pogba.

there is no new name to insert. atleast none that would be better than lukaku or avulable in the price we sell lukaku for!! whats worse is that these 3 players cost us 100mil in themselves, and they might still prove to be our achilees heel.
