http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2646047/Romelu-Lukaku-insists-wants-stay-Chelsea-despite-uncertainty.html and he goes and changes his twitter bio to chelsea just YESTERDAY. now lets take the scenario of the "best thing for the club" from your perspective. we sell lukaku. for 25mil. YAY!! buy who? remy? emineke? or keep torres as our second striker? how does that solve our striker problems? or am i supposed to believe that costa will have a 25-30 goal season in his first season and everything will be just peachy? how does selling him improve us as a squad/team?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2646047/Romelu-Lukaku-insists-wants-stay-Chelsea-despite-uncertainty.html how strange!!! he evsaid that he wants to stay!!! and then he goes and changes his twitter bio just YESTERDAY!!!! he said this on 2nd june... right before the WC started.. right from the horses MOUTH!!!! how anyone thinks that lukaku being sold CAN lead to jose has already being described. lukaku selling equals to us having torres and DD/remy/emenike/bamford as the 2nd striker. that is equal to us STILL having the striker problems. every striker goes thru a lean spell as will costa at some point of the season. at that time, we wont have a good back-up just like last season and then drop points, just like last season. you go into the season thinking of REALISTIC situation. costa scoring 10 goals in 5 games is not a situation JOSE would be expecting or getting us prepared from. for a season we will ATLEAST 2 goalscorers (plus torres). thats a realistic situation. tell me who wants to be here and who u would buy with that money and how exactly will be better for us? remmy? eminike? who exactly are we talking about? who would be our 2nd striker? SAF kept CR against his will, he ended up winning them the PL! sometimes u have to make exceptions and this definitely is one of those times. its easy saying SIMPLE. but its not fifa where a player says "i want to leave" and u transfer list. right now, the better thing for the club to do will be taking a risk with a 21 year old lukaku, if it pays off, we have a striker for the next 10 years, if not, we can buy some decent back-up striker next year rather than making the same mistake we made with BA.
-
and where did u get to know that he wants to go? did u talk to him personally? as far i know, just yesterday or something he changed his bio to chelsea. i would rather look at the betterment of the club as this season is vital. us not winning the PL would be considered a failure. another trophy less season will definitely mean jose getting the boot and making us go back to the managerial merry-go-round. and what power are u talking about? if u actually "believe" that he wants to leave, then we are keeping him against his "wish". where are we giving lukaku the power?
-
so for 10-15 mil, we should go into the season with torres and DD (rumored) as our backup? costa was injured during a very essentially part for ATM last season. i mean i would love for torres to lead our line in CL final or a title decider at anfield or etihad!!! one year is a massive time. 15-20 goals from lukaku, can change his perspective and jose's perspective. letting him go right now, makes 0 sense.
-
actually very simple to understand!!! we dont need the money!! lukaku scoring 15 goals this season and going for 10mil in the next season is a way better scenario for us than lukaku going to 25mil this season and we buying a 10-15mil rated remy or emenike to replace him and having another season of "our strikers are shit, so we cant do anything".
-
the most idiotic thing our board could have done for in a loooooonnnnnggggg time. and when i say "idiotic", i am being kind!!!!
-
probably or try and get rid of torres. just dont see jose being stupid enough to go into the season with torres and a 36 year old DD as the only replacements. thats suicidal to say the least!!!
-
I would say, if DD is being brought back as a player-MANAGER, then the main reason for that would be LUKAKU
-
WTF!!!!!!
-
thats the most important question!!! people seemed satisfied to have torres and bamford as their 2nd striker. or maybe they want van wolfvinkel as the 2nd striker and lukaku replacement!!!
-
please be true, please be true, please be true!!!!!
-
courtois azpi GC JT luis matic cesc schurrle willian hazard costa
-
things sure are moving fast this window!!! all signings done!!! 18 days in!!!! well done board!!!
-
http://www.chelseafc.com/teams/first-team.html why the hell is not his name in the strikers list!!!!
-
seems PEREZ is playing too much FIFA these days!!!
-
now even i am confused. the articles from WAGNH says we made a certain profit on mata taking into account his amortized value and his salary that we paid for that particular year. which makes sense, since mata spent half a season here. as for BA, he had 4mil of value left, and he is sold for 4.75. which makes his profit as 750k. that is BA's account for us this season. why would his wage be included in the profit?
-
why no.5? anyways, good luck and hope he is a success. the backline of courtois azpi-GC-JT-FL is massive. (we have a FL in our squad again )
-
did u read the article of wagnh? also, the ACTUAL profit we made is just 750k. i know what u r trying to say, and hence the "save" i used was meant to be the money we actually saved, not the FFP-wise money.
-
http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2014/1/24/5335580/juan-mata-transfer-manchester-united-chelsea-finances this one makes more sense. i mean why would the "profit" include the salary and the amortisation fee. i mean specially the latter. the profit by selling already takes into account the amortisation fee.
-
we dint "save" on BA's wages. he would have been loaned/sold anyways. in FFP terms we just break even (make a slight profit of 750k). probbaly the only "bad" business that our club has done in this window. however u look at it, 6mil euros is very low for a goal scorer like BA. all i can thik is that BA wanted to go to besiktas for some reason. sure thing is that we would not have been short on offers for him from PL clubs and we would have gotten quite a lot more.
-
seems like JOSE wants lukaku to stay!!! (so much for jose wanting him gone cos he apparently asked for a transfer)
-
damn,,, that fee is too low!!!! i am sure a PL club would have been willing to pay more.
