courtois - MOTM despite his howler. says it all does not it. iva - awful. simply awful. should not start next game. please jose. gc - how has he earned the spot ahead of zouma after the performances zouma has put is unthinkable for me. made a couple of mistakes in th first half but also redeemed himself with a couple of brilliat pieces of defending in the second like that headed clearance from el ahmady cross with abel just an inch behind. still zouma should start jt - decent performance but the high line is taking it toll on him. needs zouma's pace to cover for his lack of. luis - was awesome. that pass to cesc from the corner was just brilliant matic - another average game. rambo - poor game. poor first touch on multiple occasions and losing the ball. cesc - decent game but awful set piece delivery. his ability to put that ball early like the one for costa goal is what is the difference in a goal and just playing around with the ball with no real end product. willian - another average game. got an assist and a couple of good link ups. hazard - brilliant as usual. costa- one of his best games. brilliant movement, brilliant goal, link up etc etc. subs - remy - deserves to start more often. we were good in attack. did not lose the ball every second time due to some inapt no.10 in the team only for balance. some of the play in the first 20 mins was quite good. but as soon as the goals came, we looked like we had no idea what hit us and what we were supposed to do. needed HT to regroup and thats exactly what we did. jose needs to drop some of his "favourites" and give a chance to players who deserve it. our attack looked quite good but defence needs to be sorted out a little.

hahhha.. i remember that. simple pass to him, somehow his first touch got the ball over his head (a bloody 5 yard pass and a touch which took the ball over his head.) and then a brilliant overhead kick to retain the ball otherwise we surely would have lost it to the 2 hull players on the prowl... rambo is just weird

phew!!!!! well thats the only thing i can say. but jose needs to tell the players that a football match is played for 90 minutes. iva needs to be dropped. GC needs to be replaced by zouma. please jose, wake up!!! courtois man of the match despite the massive massive HOWLER. that triple stop was insane. just shows how clueless our defence is at times.

to be fair, he has barely played as a LW today, but do agree with the essence of your post. i think its a coincidence of how good we are in ball retention when we dont have some no.10 just for "balance"

the first time was cos of iva. he played the striker on.

how could we do without him? he has been one of our best players since he has comeback from injury. he is a sure shot starter for all of our big games, he is a decent cover for 3 or 4 places and most importantly he gives us something different from our other CM/Dm options which is necessary for a squad. the foundation of your argument is heavily flawed.

this guy keeps surprising me. still would wait for a season more, get to a point where the goals get dried up and then see how he does. but at this moment, it seems he is a GEM!!!

i cant argue with someone who thinks this. not worth it. rambo is a great squad player and he is proving to be so. every squad needs a player like rambo. a cover for all positions (DM, CM, B2B, RW), a player with fight and character, a big game player.

those 3 are head and shoulders and levels over other teams. to expect us to play like we normally do is downright unrealistic with a backline of a 34 year old JT and an average GC/20 year old zouma flanked by iva. trying to go head to head against those teams would be folly.

too early to say this. but i would have prefered big vic.

did we park the bus against spurs in both the PL matches? against arsenal? against united (united might seems so but dont think that was what we had planned. cesc and oscar had a poor match and left matic too much to do). even pool at anfield was a good normal game. it was after the spurs drubbing at the new years that we have "parked the bus" in big games (except city but that is understandable) and a lot of it is down the jose's trust in the players we have.

and what is this based on? his performance against pool, soton, spurs. ramires has been brilliant since his comeback from the injury. even the game where he played as the RW, he was one of our best players. to sell rambo would be one of the biggest mistakes we can possibly make.
