  1. Towards the end of the season he looked really good for us. He was the only player capable of actually making the defence-splitting pass which would allow Torres through on goal
  2. I would rather have Aguero because he has played with Torres but Falcao does have great heading ability
  3. It is usually 9AM for pre-season games. I haven't a clue why but they just do it but they always switch back to 7AM once the season starts
  4. The Getafe goalkeeper and home kits are exactly the same as last season and the away one is just a lighter shade of this seasons away one. I quite like the Brighton one but it will probably look kak with mud and grass stains and everything on it
  5. lets be honest he was probably signed as a joke...
  6. I think he deserves a lot of respect. It must be difficult being a talented goalkeeper like he is but having to watch arguably the worlds best between the sticks for us week in week out. Still, it shows great commitment to the club to stay with us for the length of time that he has
  7. The expression on Nasri's face basically says 'Get this photo shoot over and then I can bugger off to City'
  8. Ferreira at CB <shudders>
  9. Wenger looks like some inflated standing up slug in that jacket of his In terms of AVB: Premier League- 3rd at least This squad no matter how ageing is good enough to finish in the top 3. We fell apart in the middle of last season but still managed to get 2nd. I would expect that with a few new signings we challenge for the title but I would not see 3rd as a disaster in a rebuilding stage that we are going through. Carling Cup- Do not mind as long as we give younger players a chance In Ancelotti's first season we got to the semi finals only to lose on penalties to Blackburn which is very good considering that we were still in the other 3 competitions. Last season he gave the youth a chance and a few unlucky injuries saw us lose 3-4 to a strong Newcastle team. To be honest I really dont think Abramovich cares too much about the Carling Cup because it is not seen as a major trophy so it is imperative that McEachran, Bertrand, Sturridge and a few reserves are given playing time because they will not get a huge amount in the league FA Cup- Win 5 or so wins and you have yourself a trophy. In many cases we play our first one or two games at home against a lower division team. AVB should mix the youth in with a few seniors in the Cup in my opinion (unless we come up against a strong Premier League outfit) for example McEachran and Lampard both in midfield. Champions League- Semi final This one again. Every year we say 'this is our last chance with our ageing squad' and we come so close. As ever I expect us to come through the group stage as group winners and then it is onto the knockout rounds. I think we can win this trophy but this year at least I don't think we will. As lame as it sounds we have been quite unlucky with the teams we have played or the way in which we have gone out though: 2008- One slip in a shootout 2009- Incompetent refereeing 2010- Against Mourinho who knows us inside out and Inter who knew Ancelotti well 2011- Beaten fair and square, (should have been given a penalty in the first leg) but we didnt help ourselves by losing the first leg at home
  10. Lets have a big party while BlueLion is gone!!! Good luck with the move BluesChick
  11. does only one trophy for Roman mean AVB would get the sack? 1- Chelsea (If we buy some new players) 2- Man United 3- Man City 4- Liverpool 5- Arsanal 6- Spurs Relegated Norwich Wigan Blackburn Carling Cup Spurs FA Cup Liverpool Champions League Real Madrid
  12. I look like a right mug now...
  13. I think we'd get the mickey taken out of us even more if we had speakers starting chants. It would seem lame with someone on a loudspeaker starting 'zigga zagga' and then about 10 people joining in
  14. yeah on google and everything it is no longer the so bar at 515 fulham road http://www.fluidlondon.co.uk/Kona_Kai_SW6.Bar
  15. That is not very likely that the tickets will be sold out in 2 hours. Some people are still on holiday at that time of the year so there is not quite as much demand for tickets. Also, most people choose to sit near the front but the view of the whole pitch from the back of the stand is better. Even if the seats exactly in the middle are sold out almost all parts of the stand offer a very very good view of the pitch
  16. you will either need him to change the address so that the tickets are sent to your home in Israel. It may be difficult getting them sent over there so I would either call the club to ask them if you can have them sent to Israel or collect them at the box office on the day. The credit card details and everything will also need to be changed unless he buys the tickets and gives them to you and then you give him the money
  17. so do you have a membership if they are under your 'friends and family'? if so, when buying the tickets choose 2 (or however many you want to buy 3 maximum if you have 3 accounts) and on the next page you choose 1 membership for one of the tickets and the 2nd membership for the other ticket. They will be delivered to your home address- not the other peoples addresses
  18. do you have your own membership or their membership number and password so that you can access their accounts? If you do log onto yours/their account and go onto the 'friends and family' tab. Then click add member and enter their customer number, their last name and their post code
  19. well that is a shame! No real ones! Still, now that i'm in the mood I may as well head over to the 'Sexiest Women in the World' thread
  20. isn't it only really Spurs, Arsanal and Man U who bring 3000 these days? Hopefully good for 'middle of the shed' then as well
  21. would you say it's too close to the away fans or is the atmosphere over there good? Thanks
