He was very poor in the first half, but i actually think he was one of our better players in the second half, mainly due to the fact that City sat back and he wasn't put under any pressure.

I've backed him all the way until this season. He isn't a DM, no way. He has no positional sense, he doesn't have the slightest clue what to do when we're under pressure and finally, wheres the passion? most of the time he looks like he doesn't give a fuck.. at times today Yaya absolutely bullied him, it was embarrassing. It's hard to know what team Jose loves more but lets just say he never walked away from us like he did at inter.

Oscar is 5'11. You don't need brute force to press the team into making mistake, we did it against arsenal, twice, Spurs and United. Yaya and Barry aren't technically great, they will give away the ball if put under pressure.. look at the Madrid vs City match, Yaya was terrible, why? because he was constantly hassled.

If this is the formation i would much rather Oscar start than Lamps, we need players with a lot of energy and pace who can press constantly throughout the game.

Enjoyable post, but one question, Why get rid of Ivanovic? he could be a great squad player for us, he's a decent RB and probably a better CB, we need players like him especially when the likes of Cahill and Terry get injured every month. I also agree we need a new Defender, someone reliable ... at the moment all of our defenders are prone to errors, Terry (mainly because of his pace), Cahill, Ivan, and Luiz all make silly mistakes.
