  1. Fair enough. But for me Scholes was one of the best midfielders ever for United, of the same ilk as Pirlo or Xavi. So many top players say he's the best they've ever seen in midfield (a bit over the top, i agree) like Zidane, Xavi, Pep etc. He could control games, and his range of passing is unbelievable. Pep did say if their was one player he could have from the PL it would be Scholes. He often doesn't get the credit he deserves because he's never in the public eye. He's so quiet, for me if he had the personality of Beckham he would be rated higher.
  2. Unpopular? ok, here we go. Although Lampard has been a great and i mean great Midfielder he's never been better than Scholes or Gerrard (in his prime). I rank them like this, Scholes>Gerrard>Lampard. Neymar is a tad overrated, not on par with the like of Hazard or Götze. Maybe not unpopular, but i hate all these football hipsters, once a team plays well in the CL or Europa league (Napoli, Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, Athletic Bilbao) suddenly they start to 'support' them and know everything about them... IMO Maradona > Pele. Oscar has great vision, anytime i watch him for Brazil some of his passes are amazing, not sure why he struggles to find that killer pass in the PL though.
  3. To be fair, you're the one who keeps bringing it up.
  4. Casillas is a legend for spain, of course the likes of De gea, Valdes and Reina are not going to say anything. Courtois is being a tad arrogant imo, mignolet just stated he wants to to be #1, nothing wrong with that at all. Once Courtois has won a world cup and two european cups, than he can compare himself with Casillas.
  5. He does seem like a bit of a diva, doesn't he?
  6. Another massive deflection 3:0.
  7. A.madrid have been poor today, a bit suprised because every time I've watched them they seem disciplined when defending and very good on the counter attack.
  8. Should of saved Reals second goal, went under him. Also Costa is far too easy to wind up, but saying that, the likes of Pepe, Di maria and Ramos are probably the most hated players in football... some of their antics are disgusting.
  9. They also play Barcelona three days later, so we have the advantage.
  10. Some posts on Redcafe (I know) regarding Mata, this was after our magnificent performance against City. Some of them have come to the realisation that a front four of RVP, Rooney, Mata and Januaj was never actually possible if they want to win big matches... It looked good on paper, but so did Oscar, Mata and Hazard. it worked against smaller sides but we were embarrassed in Europe. Oh yeah and the best for last..
  11. How the fuck did he constantly leap above the likes of Zabaleta and Demichelis? he actually beat them to some headers. Fantastic. I honestly think Suarez will get it, but hopefully Hazard can keep this form up.
  12. This time last year Terry was either injured or on the bench, he was clearly past his best... or so we thought. It's funny how much can change in a year.
  13. I think he's also underrated on the ball, obviously not as good as Luiz, but he does seem comfortable with it. He doesnt just kick the ball out of play if pressured, he tries to look for one of our players. Cahill is our best defender, gary fucking cahill... honestly when we signed him I thought he'll be a squad player at best, credit to him. He's improved so much even rival fans are givig him praise. A few months ago that new deal seemed a bit extreme, but now I'm all for it.
  14. Thats why I'm against Hazard playing as a false number 9, he will get far less space and would be closed down quickly. He's perfect on the left imo, has a lot of space he can run into and with a striker next season he'll be getting assist after assist.
  15. No doubt Kdb is a great talent but this is an example of buying too many young players without a manager. With Jose we now have a style, we know what players we need, look at the Matic, Salah and Zouma sigings. They have to fit our playing style. Kdb didnt, admittedly he didnt play enough, but I think deep down Jose knew he wasnt in his plans. Wish the kid all the best.
  16. Phil Thomas, got it spot on didn't he? Vikki as well.. " even if he did Chelsea still have no chance of actually winning this one"
  17. Gary Neville was spot on Yesterday
  18. Cavani or Costa will suit our system, they both work very hard for the team, good with the ball (not as good as Suarez or Aguero but good enough), they hold up the ball very well. They just have it all, both can lead the line with ease imo. They both also play(ed) in counter attacking teams, they will fit in straight away.
  19. I'm excited for it but will be a bit nervous before the match.. sounds silly when you try and explain it to someone who doesn't like sports, but i guess you all can relate.
  20. I like that team, the only thing i dislike is Walker. I'd rather Glen Johnson at RB. Walker used to be your typical fullback, good going forward shit at the back, now he's shit at everything, so poor. Maybe even Clyne at Southampton, he's back from his injury, so hopefully he has a good run of form.
  21. Ramires is key for our pressing, ok, technically he's poor, so against teams who park the bus he's ineffective, but in games where teams come at us, he's a must. His stamina and athleticism will also help on the counter. City have Yaya, we have Matic, they have Fernandinho we have Ramires. You can say he messes up a lot in the final third with his decision making, which is true, but he also starts many of them with his interceptions, on the break his pace will be vital. I have a good feeling about today, i really do.
  22. This will play into our hands, when teams counter with pace and power CIty look vulnerable. I hope we play to win, in that i mean stay compact but when City lose the ball be willing to attack on the counter. 2-1 Chelsea
