  1. Mixed feelings, let's see... welcome and good luck!
  2. 21m for a 28 year old (29 in August) is too much
  3. Awful performance, very similar to the Torres' performances we are used to seeing. Hope it's temporary.
  4. Never a penalty, he put his leg on the defender's leg. Nothing in it, referees have been awful so far this tournament. Been shaky and insecure all game, hope he picks it up.
  5. Welcome! Quality signing, world class
  6. If you'd add Skrill (Moneybookers) to your donation payment options, I'm sure the number of donators would increase quite a bit, because when you got verified bank account attached to Skrill it's instant and doesn't require a credit card. Please look into it, if there's a possibility, that way I could help out aswell!
  7. My first impression is that 300£ is suspiciously small amount of money for a professional photo firm to go through the hassle of a law suit against a small non-profitable internet forum. Did you do background search on this guy? Does he have any kind of proof of being affiliated with the actual firm or photos, perhaps he is just an imposer looking for quick pocket money with scam? Anyone can post pictures on this forum, does this mean every time there's a copywrited picture and you'll get an angry e-mail, you'll bend over and pay? One solution would be to make this forum unreadable to guests (or atleast couldn't see the pictures) and when people do register they'll have to agree to "Terms and Conditions" that states clearly that TalkChelsea isn't responsible for any copyright infringements nor responsible for what is/was posted. Surely there's a way for TalkChelsea to implement something in the lines of this and make it legally compatible. That way any infringement charges could be directed to the poster of that conrete picture/file. TalkChelsea at the moment is just an easy target. Either way, I'd get someone connected with law (friend, family member and so on) to look it over. I'd be very suspicious...
  8. By the way he has been acting he is anything but professional, so in that sense you are contradicting your own story. A young player who has achieved nothing in world football can't throw a tantrum like that, that's definition of UNprofessionalism. And since when does Mourinho, one of the most successful managers in world football, need to justify his decisions to a 21 year old, who fails to show any respect what so ever towards Chelsea - the club he supposedly "loves". And please don't compare Mourinho to Lukaku, they're not comparable in any context, let alone in Chelsea - and rightly so. Judging someone based on a documentary is as good as judging players based on Youtube videos. The only place to be is making very valid point that Lukaku did get his chance and would have had even more if he had remained in the club last season instead of waving the white flag as soon as first shots were "fired", metaphorically speaking. With our strikers either injured or on rocky form patch, last season was his golden opportunity to show what he's made of. Chelsea is one of the super powers of football, not a charity project. He had a chance, he blew it - he fails to admit that he was the one who gave up and hid at Everton. Competition for places is something that is supposed to spur professional and hungry players on, not make them cry to the media and ask for a pat on the shoulder. So in that sense he is very unprofessional and not even close to mature. Coward and hypocrite are the words that describe him rather well in this light. Even if this does resolve someway, we have seen Lukaku's real mindset here, it will re-occur sooner rather than later. He needs Chelsea, not the other way around. NEXT!
  9. Glad for Carlo, well done. Deserved winners, only had Bale used the chances he had. Why did they play Costa? Couldn't they estimate the injury in training or warm-up? That wasted substitution could have been useful with Juanfran and some other players injured...
  10. Nothing wrong with what he said. If anything he was being straight forward and respectful towards Cech and Chelsea, both the club and fans.
  11. I thought Norwich should have had a penalty and we should had one or two ourselves. Schürrle hit the post, Luiz hit the woodwork aswell. Hazard came on at half time and sharpened us up. Typical performance versus bottom teams when we can't score in the first 30-40 minutes. We walk the ball to their box, pass it to death and end up losing it or having a toe-poke at goal. Frustrating but in the end of the day maybe that's what we need to see our weaknesses and correct them by next season.
  12. Bad result, worse performance but no need to exaggerate it. We're finishing third either way. I think even the most optimistic fans would have doubts over Liverpool and City both dropping points which would have left an opening for us to grab the title, was a long-shot. The thing I notice is that even if Chelsea do go forward with counter-attack then couple of yards before opponent's box the attack is slowed down, player in possession starts turning here and there, allowing the chasing defenders to regroup and reorganize the formation. I thought Cahill and Schürrle did alright. Schürrle hit the post but seemed lively through out. Noone was amazing today but if I had to name someone it'd be those two. The introduction on Hazard changed it for us. He was on another level, you could sense his determination and eager to prove his point and potential. I guess this all is somewhat down to lack of motivation. Nothing to play for, players have one eye on World Cup, the disappointment of recent results, the media drama, perhaps some players already sense they'll be out of Chelsea after next week's game. All those add up. High hopes for next season, we're couple of crucial signings away from being a complete team. No point of overthinking this result, it's done.
  13. This argument is just tiresome. By 6 defenders you refer to Atletico game I assume? Luiz played as CM, Azpilicueta was deployed up the pitch aswell - 4 man back line, of course changing from situation if we're attacking or defending, every team does this. You actually sound like a Liverpool fan right now with these biased comments. Drop it already, Hazard messed up. Mourinho messed up, MOVE ON.
  14. Cheers for that I just knew the phrase in Estonian - "inimene on inimesele hunt" - and tried to translate it.
  15. Listen, the playing-ground is even for everyone more or less. World class footballers are bound to get media attention, its something that comes with the job. We don't see that kind of drama every week do we? - no, because Chelsea was too easy of a target to let Hazard's comments slip. So in a sense, he should have ignored media attention till it all went back to normal again. Media=business, football=business, it's naive to even mention the word "ethics" and "sportsmanship" when it comes to anything related to money. Roughly translated expression from estonian language: "Human is a wolf to another human". I find this whole converstaion un-necessary. My take on this subject is and will be this: Hazard's comments were blown out of porportion but he shouldn't have even had that intervew on that subject giving the timing. Mourinho shouldn't do the same mistake Hazard did - which we now see he has done. I understand Mourinho in a sense that he has to show who is in charge, he is the boss. In his line of work his reputation and his authority is all that matters. Best thing now is to sort this out behind closed doors and move on. Crazy how things have gone so far that people are actually thinking of selling him or having the theoretical possibility up for discussion. Not going to happen.
  16. You're right! Media is a business and there's a saying about it: "Business is business, someone has to take it up the arse"
  17. His mistake was to even take that slippery road and comment on our style of play. By anticipation I meant that he shouldn't be so naive to throw those kinds of statements around, it doesn't matter at all what his exact words were and what he meant by them because you can bet your house those are not the words that will be on the next morning's paper's headlines. PR catastrophe. No he shouldn't have said "Chelsea tika-taka", there are more diplomatic ways of answering provocative questions. I'll give you an example: "Atletico played very well. We had the game in our hands till they scored that goal, which is unfortunate. We're all obviously very disappointed but we'll be back stronger next year" - check any footballer's post match interviews and most of them will be in the lines of that. Diplomatic but without any certain message.
  18. It doesn't even matter what he actually said or meant with his comments. It's about the timing and the reaction it got form the media. It left the club, the manager, fellow players out in the open for the wave of criticism that followed. We are yet again in the media spotlight and for the wrong reasons. As a professional you've got to anticipate things like that, he should have known better.
  19. There might be hints of truth in what he says but that's not a way a professional player acts. Comments like these do us more harm than good. You think our own manager-board-fans didn't know that we depend on him? Again, if he ever wants to be in the same class as Messi or Ronaldo or Ronaldinho or Suarez - real super-stars, he has to toughen up and instead of whining up his game. Yesterday he didn't offer much of anything, let along "carry" the team. In fact, we've played rather alright without him, beating PSG, Liverpool in the process. We missed him against "weaker" teams, that's all. He should know the player situation in the club, we were missing important players and we will sign couple of very good players in the summer. He should look into the mirror, because it's his inconsistency to perform that makes Azpilicueta a worthy player of the season. He is our best attacking player but there are just some things you can't say publicly, not because it's necessarily wrong, but its unethical especially giving the timing. Never understood why we get stick for playing brilliantly in defence and clubs like Atletico are being praised. Guess success breeds jealousy.
  20. Deserved victory for Atletico Madrid. Congratulations to any Atletico fan reading this! We never looked dangerous. Absolutely clueless infront of the goal and surprisingly in defence aswell, a day to forget for Cahill and Schwarzer. Hazard went missing in the game, expected much more from him, though he was marked down very tightly, but so are Suarez, Ronaldo, Bale, Messi - if you want to be the best, you've got to be above these situations. Few points: Courtois is a MUST next season, absolute beast. After watching these two games against Atletico, he was nothing but world-class. Cold as ice this player.Torres, Eto'o and Ba all have to go. Time to break this "almost strikers" barrier and get new blood in.Sort out the midfield. I know we missed Lampard, Matic, Mikel but that's hardly an excuse in a big club. Ivanovic is useless in attack, he is a mountain of a man but he just slows us down with his touches and mis-placed crosses.Azpilicueta was my choice for Player of the Season, and keeps proving me right every game. What a buy, what a player.End of the season can't come any sooner. Two games to go.We'll be back stronger next season, no doubts. Good luck to Real Madrid, would love to see Carlo Ancelotti succeed yet again.
  21. Not the end of the world but we look blunt in the final third of their half.
  22. This years final is going to be sweet. Either Madrid derby or Ancelotti's RM vs Mourinho's Chelsea.
  23. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/9288880/chelsea-keeper-petr-cech-and-defender-john-terry-are-back-in-training Says here that Cech, Terry, Eto'o and Hazard all back in training.
