  1. I agree and that's a whole another problem. Primarily the reason why Arnesen left for HSV. We can hope it's going to improve but at the moment times require to improve season after season, look at any club and you'll see they bring in talent. There are exceptions but its rare.
  2. But they all have shared the same view so far. It was the case with Bruma, Mancienne etc. Many fans declared them "ready" and if they played they didn't do that well. Face it, not everyone is talented or good enough to be a world class player. Coaches monitor them day in day out and there has to be a reason they're not playing regularly. Bertrand's age (22) could assume he should be ready. That's why there's transfer market. There's difference being supportive and encouraging to your youth players but presuming everyone will one day become a world class player is just delusional. Manchester United bought Jones and Smalling (Blackburn & Fulham respectively) although I'm sure they would have had chances to bring through defenders from their youth system. They saw that they're wasting time and brought in those two and they've been brilliant so far. Not everyone will cut it these days. Just as we did with David Luiz. There is and always will be difference between a player and a player...
  3. Exactly! Good points there justin
  4. AVB knows A LOT more about him and football than all of us put together. He wouldn't buy a player just to experiment, he has certain vision and we have to accept it and support Villas Boas. If Cole, let's say, is injured? Who would we play? And don't give me that Van Aanholt and Bertrand answer, we know they're not good nor ready enough. If they fail, they'd be slaughtered by fans no matter what fans might say at the moment. Perreira is an utility player, great corsses, 25 years old - about to hit footballers best age. He wants to come here, ambitious, point to prove. Money isn't an issue for Chelsea right now, where's the problem? And that excuse of "there are tons of better options out there", this is not Football Manager. Get real, people have preferances.. face it, not everyone wants to come to Chelsea or England for that matter. Someone brought up Cazorla - he didn't want to leave Spain thus joined Malaga. They aren't just TV figures, they're real people with their own ambitions and preferences. Swapping club isn't just a matter of putting on a new shirt. It's moving, re-organising their lives, possibly moving families over, finding schools for kids, place to live, transport, getting used to surroundings and at the same time play at the highest level or again... get slaughtered by the fans. I think he'd be a perfect fit and would shine for us.
  5. Guys this is not Football Manager or Xpert11... he is left back AND a LEFT WINGER. Seen so many, including myself, begging for a new left winger. That will mean Mata will be attacking midfielder. 15mil for him isn't a bad deal. Some of us moaned why don't we buy "second rate" stars and give them chance, instead of splashing 30-40mil on a player.. well Pereira is that man and he'd be a good signing. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/%C3%81lvaro-pereira/profil/spieler_54859.html
  6. Doesn't show his number, my mind thinks either 1) I've missed it 2) It's not sure because there'll be more ins-outs this summer And his English is very good, well done and welcome Mata!
  7. Welcome to the Bridge MATA!!! "Valencia Football Club has reached an agreement in principle with Chelsea FC for the transfer of the player Juan Manuel Mata. The agreement is subject to the relevant medical tests." Valencia FC official site. http://www.valenciacf.com/contenidos/Actualidad/Noticias/2011/08/Noticia_31170.html?__locale=es
  8. Thank Malouda... that would have been terrible. PLEASE GET MODRIC AND MATA DONE NOW. We need Sturridge back
  9. Good bye Kalou Good bye Anelka Good bye Lampard (sorry but he has been terrible)
  10. Yes, saw one of his free kick in those YouTube videos, I'm not sure though if he regularly takes them
  11. Haha quality humor there, check the comments below the article. Some guy says they should ask for David Luiz or Kakuta
  12. Mata is better, proven and has lots and lots of experience on high level, Hazard only really shined last season when Lille won the league. Moreover, the price is pretty much the same
  13. Glad it's official, welcome Lukakuuuu!
  14. I don't want him here, I'm sure he is a great player but I'd rather buy from smaller teams like Spurs ( ) than getting players straight from rivals. True, Arsenal wouldn't use that money to invest in proper players and thus wouldn't be such a threat but still it feels wrong to cheer on former rival players. Took time with Torres although lets hope he keeps it up. He was fantastic. We missed out on AGÜERO. That guy is a gem, young and built for EPL. Let's really hope that the display against Swansea was moment of brilliance rather than weekly basis showdown. Just check the City-Swansea highlights. And all of the guys here who said he wouldn't fit into 4-3-3 system - they played with Silva, Dzeko and Agüero. (although I think City play with 2 up front, Silva just behind but we surely would have found a way to accommodate him)
  15. You're certainly not debating, you're just stating the opposite without any argument or valid point. Adding a picture that's 5-6 years old doesn't change the fact that Barcelona are known for influencing the referee. diving, cheating.
  16. Did I say I'm going to compose a match report? That were the situations that were discussed and I gave my own view. So you're a Barcelona supporter, what else is new?
  17. Valdes clearly elbowed into Ronaldo's legs. It doesn't matter how strong or deliberate it was, it was a clear penalty. Barcelona is such a disgusting team especially Alves and Busquets, Mascherano, Piquet. Diving theatrics all the way, now they've got new scholar called Alexis Sanchez, though he was quite good tonight
  18. Turan has already signed for Atlectio Madrid - a substitue for Agüero Otherwise spot on
  19. I think we played well, especially Torres, Alex, Cech and Bosingwa. Terry seemed shaky and Kalou+Anelka+Malouda haven't changed one bit. We need to get winger and CMF (AVB said that he targets two more on Skyspots.com)
  20. Good result. This is Stoke at Britannia Stadium. We showed good play, had good chances and should have had at least one penalty. MOTM - Fernando Torres, props for Cech, Alex, Bosingwa and Ramires Flop of the Match - John Terry/Kalou/Malouda
  21. Torres is brilliant, Ramires and Bosingwa are good aswell! Kalou, Malouda, Terry have been terrible
  22. English players seem to flop the most recently so it might not be a pro as much as a con
  23. P.S! I think we should play 4-4-2, best bit
