Impossible to judge what our future team will be, most of the teams i have seen on this thread are on the assumption we don't make any signing's between now and whenever the predicted team is, which just isn't going to happen.

Not just today, i don't think he has done it once in a Chelsea shirt to that affect against anyone.

@headhunter23, I think Sh0n3x was referring to the fact he use to be able to make his own goals with a mix of blistering pace and putting defenders on their arse, there was a few situations today where i thought a bit more pace and he will be through on goal. For example has he done to a defender playing for us what he did to Ben Haim on his Liverpool debut or what he did to Dawson on the last day of that same season?

Who said anything about fifa The point is at one point in the season we will probably need a change of formation and that is one option.

Mancini is City's weak link, im so happy they gave him a 5 year contract.

Apart from the last few games of that season, in 05/06 we only started matches with one forward playing. For those who think one of Cavani or Torres will rot on the bench, have a quick look at the playing stats of Drogba and Crespo in 2005/2006. Both will get more than enough playing time.

I know ive said this 100 times before but If Torres wants to be the main man, he earns it by displays on the pitch and outperforming his competition, if that means Cavani then he lumps in, he is in no position to go making playing demands.

Add Rodwell to that list now.

I was there that day On today's performance i thought he did well and took his goal brilliantly, although i am one of his critics i can still praise him when he has a good game (Kalou haters take note). He has a while to do before i will consider myself proved wrong but the signs are a lot better than this time last year.

Didier Drogba missed a penalty in the ACON final. He is mentally weak aswell, he will never be able to do something like i don't know step up for a winning penalty in a Champions League final 5 months later.

Middlesborough will be a fantastic move for him, a club just outside the play off places last season, a player of Josh's caliber could push them up there.

Think were be making a mistake here. Let him play in the next gen series then next season he can have a loan stint, after that his skills will be developed ready for a shot at the first team, its too early now.

Looking at some comments and chats i have with Chelsea fans, sometimes i am under the impression that our team will be full off teenagers if they were in the hotseat. Yes while it may give fans a sense of pride when youth products turn into first team regulars at the end of the day we are a top team challenging for trophies, young players have to be patient if they want a chance, Ryan is the prime example. Danny aswell to an extent. If we throw youngsters in the team at the first opportunity, we may be able to go home and say, we give youth players a chance but also we would be a mid table side at best and most likely lose them to a better side by the time their 22, look at Jordan Henderson, Phil Jones, Aaron Ramesy, Wayne Rooney, Sol Campbell, Glen Johnson, Joe Cole, Frank Lampard, Rio Ferdinand, the list goes on. If players want to make it at a top club that are challenging for every major trophy, they need (along with the skill), patience and lots off it and unfortunetly not many have that. Would you rather win things or have a starting Xl that grew up within 3 miles of The Bridge? in an ideal world both but it's not realistic, i know which one i prefer.

He wasn't good enough that's the point. He started promising at Plymouth (i saw him a few times when he went there on loan as i live in Devon), but after that he wasn't impressing in any Championship loan spell, infact he wasn't even a starter in half of them.

Shows what patience can do, even if it means going on numerous loan spells, Kakuta take note.
