Who will replace Essien, Meireles, Benayoun and Malouda (assuming he leaves today) in the squad? unproven youngsters who have never played a first team game Have we learned nothing from two years ago?

Can't speak for fellow CFC fans, but after the fuck up of Carlo's second season, i never want us to chuck experience away in favour of unproven youngsters ever again.

AVB is starting to make me look like a mug for defending him. I wanted him to stay initially because he would learn from the mistakes he made, that doesn't look like happening any time soon.

If RDM is going to keep playing the Ash-Ryan combo i hope he rotates who is the left back. My only worry is Ryan knows at LM if he get's skinned (which is a very rare occurance) Ash is there to cover up, he won't have that luxury at left back, so i don't want him to get too use to it.

So i come back from one of the best weekend's of my life to find out that we have let Essien go, sold/selling Meireles, lost 4-1, United got another last minute goal and Drogba got released from his new club and is wanted by Liverpool. Thank fuck i had no signal where i was.

If we loan a player to Arsenal again then is all im going to have to say. Everton would be a good move for him if we really want to see if he can get back to some sort of him, although having said that i think Everton are a bit more depth to their squad away to becoming serious top 4 contenders.

I don't see why it's made as much of a deal as it is. Hasselbaink use to shoot quite often when the pass was the better option, yet he never got any abuse from fans for it. I would rather have my forwards obsessed with scoring than appear scared of scoring (like Torres appeared under both Carlo and AVB).

In a weird way i will be a little bit relieved if it's only a loan after i get over the disappointment, im convinced he will be sold and its killing me. Sturridge is a lot better than Borini, Fabio would never have been more than a squad player imo, but i do appreciate a lot of people have a different opinion when it comes to him.

I have said all summer that Liverpool are not good enough to finish above us. If we do what can be best described as an act of insanity and give them Danny (compared to what they spent on Carroll £15m would be giving), then i will seriously have to re-access my opinion. There must be a reason he was signed. If the club genuinely thought Cech could do a VDS this signing would not make sense, because even when Cech retired, Courtios would be well into his 30's. I think the rumours that Cech might have to retire early might have an element of truth to it. I wonder who will try and get him on loan next season? i will laugh hysterically if Levy makes a sneaky bid. He will probably try and make us pay installment's to him every time he plays.

Stats regarding Drogba in the double winning season. 37 goals in 44 games only one was a penalty. The record in England is 41 by Ronaldo and he needed a large number of penalties to reach that, without the pens i think he would have been on 30/31. He missed 12 games. Ironically we won them all scoring 39 goals, which only suggest's he would have helped himself to a fair number himself had he played those games. So if he played all the games and took penalties, add the penalties on top he would have probably got to about 50 and take into account the games he missed and the goals he probably would have scored, is it fair to say he could have quite easily have hit 60-65 that season?

Berbatov is the kind off player that would score a hatfull against teams in the bottom half of the table. It was a poor record against those type of teams that cost us a CL place via the domestic route last term.
