  1. Although I don't agree with Styles initial point of winning the PL won't be as much of an achievement as we think, he has a point about the quality, not just with the top teams being not as good as before but the teams from 8-9 down are pretty rubbish if we are being truthful. I don't watch the lower teams in La Liga very much but when I do while the players may not be the best players around most of them can get the basics right, some of the player's in the bottom half of the PL are complete clowns who can't control a ball properly. When I watch the likes of Sunderland, West Brom and the teams down there, they can all to a point organise well off the ball, but when it comes to going forward and making thing's happen, the lack of quality is almost painful to watch. Although it can't help the fact that manager's who simply aren't good enough to be PL manager's like Alan Irvine and Tim Sherwood keep getting jobs.
  2. Del Bosques last club job was an epic fail at Besiktas which saw him sacked within a year. Further more he's been out of club management for ten years, that's a hell of a long time.
  3. It's not Ramires himself that's the worry, its that pivot and understandably, it's a defensive disaster that even Bradford ruthlessly exploited.
  4. We must be wary of late in the game, Spurs have got too many late goals this season for it to be a coincidence. Also as many know im one that preaces caution regards to youth players but if Mikel doesn't make it in time Ake has to start, the Ramires and Cesc pivot will have us shipping 5 again, I shuddered typing that. 4-3-3, Rambo, Ake and Cesc Haz, Willy and Costa front 3, Zouma has to start this too, Cahill has struggled against Harry Kane this season whereas Zouma tanned his backside in the second half at The Bridge.
  5. We managed to scrape our way in a title race without him prior to his arrival. Can't see us not winning any of the games.
  6. I know there has been suggestions of the likes of Oscar, KDB and even Willian being moved to the pivot but I never expected Matas name to crop up. Just a step too far that
  7. Hopefully we have won it or at the very least have room for error heading to West Brom. Tony Pulis sides away always makes me nervous.
  8. Played for the last 20 vs Bradford as well
  9. Fair enough, although I don't think this team are equipped to go for it and risk the counter, it's catch 22 at the moment as I believe the squad is still evolving one way or another, im sure our activity in the summer will help like we fixed the majir issues last.
  10. Your right about City. They were 2 up vs Burnley went for more and drew, there's no right and wrong when defending a lead.
  11. I have literally just seen this Are you still suffering it? If so try and sign in on a laptop or even a ps3 that would get rid of the notifications.
  12. Difference between constructive criticism and some of the stuff spouted after every bad result performance. Not even the late days of AVB there was this much general moaning. And maybe it would be more tolerated if it happened in reverse after a great result/performance, the fact the West Ham and Swansea post match threads had only 4 and 6 pages off reaction respectively while the Mou thread was pretty quiet (certainly in comparison to last night and Bradford) frankly says it all.
  13. Jesus, comparing Torres favorably against Eto'o was bad enough ...........
  14. Yes it does, flat track bullying is an underappreciated trait in football, failure to master it last season cost us the title and (so far) fixing it has put us 7 points clear at the top of the league.
  15. We could win 20 games in a row, scoring 70 goals and playing the best football England has ever seen then draw at The Ethiad on the 21st match which will trigger the return of the usual suspects and the tiresome clichés.
  16. Our team has vastly improved in quality that's why he is not one of the better players anymore.
  17. So do we downplay Drogbas goals in the double season because 4 were against Wigan, 2 were against Wolves, 2 were against a poor Atletico, 6 were against the relegated sides and 1 was against Apeol. If it's so easy to score vs these "shit sides" then every one would be doing it.
  18. Well doing it vs Swansea is more than the rest are doing.
  19. Interesting observation. Chelsea 2-0 West Ham We played some breathtaking footy completely dismantled and destroyed one off the most inform teams in the league, the post match thread had 4 pages, the Mourinho thread was barely touched. Chelsea 2-4 Bradford 22 pages in the post match thread and the Mou thread in overdrive. PSG 1-1 Chelsea 14 pages and this thread in overdrive. Says it all.
  20. Here's something to cheer everyone up. We are 7 points clear at the top of the league with a cup final in 11 days. This place is like feeding time in the Zoo after a bad/result performance.
  21. People underestimate the mess we were in as a squad when Jose took over, we had no top class CMs, Terry who at the time looked he was on the way down, a fully declined Ash, Fernando fucking Torres as our "main" forward. Our only positions of strength really was in goal with Cech and attacking midfield and even in those areas we had piss poor back ups, we were every bit an unbalanced shambles as United are now. Jose has turned this around on a next to nothing net spend, and while we aren't "there" yet in terms of being on the very top tier, we have a healthy and well balanced squad and it's only looking up. Last season we were ace in the big games but phrone to dropping points against lesser sides, this season it's the other way round, the league title is a clear priority this season and if we have to flat track bully our way there then so be it. We will go "toe to toe" with big boys away when the team is more equipped (more proactive CBs and maybe another top class CM). We are in the process of building a top class team, enjoy it.
  22. So who are you? Brendan or Pellegrini?
  23. In Mous first season back he had a chance to be a member of the squad, with his competition a decent but past his prime Eto'o, an out of favour Ba and abysmal Torres but bottled it. This season he had a place in the squad avaliable to him, he asked to leave. He was offered opportunities to be an active member of one of the best squad's in Europe at 20 then 21, as far as getting chances do doesn't get much bigger at his age.
  24. Would be a waste of resources that would be better spent getting a centre back in and if we can Pogba in. Mata needs the team built around him to reach his full performance, and with Cesc and Hazard that ain't happening. Further more Cesc and Mata on the same team won't work, we saw how the likes of Swansea and Liverpool targeted Cescs defensive game and got quite a lot of joy, imagine Mata infront of him, they would overload our midfield and dance around us.
  25. Could that explain why so many were so defensive towards him when Jose started to drop him? The fact he was practically carrying us domestically in his first season and was that little sprinkle of flair in the side after a year (Carlos second season) off stale dross performances? If (for argument sake) he came into a Chelsea squad already doing well with the likes of Hazard already here, would he have built up such a fanclub?
