  1. That bodes well, when we won it in 2005 Giggs came out and went on about how hard it is to retain title's. Am i not the only one not getting the United hype? The only thing they have going for them is Jose's second season record, that aside i can't think of a single reason to justify putting them in the mix.
  2. Wasn't Suarez 28 when Barca got him? If we were making a habit of these type of signing's it would be a bad move as we will have another 10/11 like season on the way eventually (and i think that would finish me, despite the second place finish it was our worst moment of the modern era bar Jose's last month's) but to do it as a one off is ok, if Auba delivers as much as 1 title or CL (and that's a huge contribution not winning a corner by fluke) he's worth it.
  3. Although i don't think he will be his best if he came to us, he won't be as bad as Torres. Torres turned into the worst striker in the league, Aguero won't fall that far.
  4. Good manager's adapt to what they have, and i know it's small sample size but the Bournemouth and Leicester games last season shown we can do it.
  5. Georgey is quite evidently this guy (link below), too many comparison's for it to be a coincidence. http://forum.talkchelsea.net/profile/16092-ruudigullit/
  6. I have seen post's from fans worried we can't cope changing our style of striker like there isn't more than one way to skin a cat. Two years ago we as a club thought we needed Mourinho to live and breathe and look what's happened there.
  7. Rumours were Stones was 2nd choice to Laporte. And Mendy soon? Word is Monaco have assured Mbappe Baka is the last sale.
  8. How do you know? We don't know how many of his signing's actually were 1st choice. For example Bravo was 2nd choice after Ter Stegan said no.
  9. Or there's another way, if he was owned by Napoli and played the same (lack of) games he did and we signed him, the same people whining about this sale would have been the same to bitch and moan about how we have no ambition and have signed "another Papy/Hector level player".
  10. Cesc wouldn't have been half as effective last season as a regular starter.
  11. Why? What' one month in grand scheme of thing's?
  12. No actually, considering they are getting a wing back as part of the deal if anything it makes it (slightly) more likely? And out of interest why do you regard it a "fucking joke"? Sandro has to hand in a transfer request for thing's to speed up, if he doesn't we could have the best board or the worst, makes no difference.
  13. By which time Jose will be on 3rd season meltdown. United need to win the PL or CL this season to justify the appointment when thing's go south, and as it stands i can't see it.
  14. March time it looked inevitable that Greizmann was going to United with Zlatan signing a new deal, now instead of those 2 they will likely start the season with Perisic and Lukaku. As soon as the Euphoria of " screwing us over" dies down they will realize that and be severely underwhelmed.
  15. It will be interesting to see how he gets on mentally, especially if he has an awkward start. I can't help but think about his time here, he looked scared stiff and everything he did felt forced. He may not have played week in week out but he started all the league cup games and was often brought on as a sub when we needed something and he was dreadful. He may have been young but Traore and Romeu played at a similar age for us and were 100 times more at ease. I have always felt he has a Torres esque mental fragility that could be triggered at any moment and if he has a average start at United things could explode very quickly.
  16. You need exceptional movement and tactical awareness to score as many tap in's as he does.
  17. Two wrong's don't make a right, furthermore i think as the season went on Lukaku would have been Eto's understudy (who's contribution's that season were disgustingly under appreciated, it still annoy's me people thought Torres was better) as it was pretty evident early on Jose didn't like Torres or Ba.
  18. Has he even played that much more at United under Mou than here? He seems to be in and out of the side similarly from what i gather, only difference is the media aren't kicking off about it.
  19. Never believe randoms on twitter.
  20. Not just Torres. Sutton, Ben Haim, ironically the latter was signed on the back of performance's for a 6th/7th level team. Lukaku may be proven as a good PL scorer but in terms of doing it in a high pressed environment he has it all to prove, he looked terrified playing for us.
  21. I could, if he's offering not much outside of goals he will be a hindrance regardless of how many goals he scores. And the PL proven notion is hardly bulletproof as we know to our cost more than anyone.
  22. Emenalo isn't part of the board.
  23. I think he would suit the way we play better than Lukaku would have, but then again that's not saying much as I think Rom would have been an awful fit.
