Higuain looks like prime Henry compared to Giroud, he's been dreadful since September. Bats, is even worse than both of them.

Weren't you the one saying for ages that Arsenal were going to finish above us ?

I never said the CL run was bad, i was saying everything outside it (bar the last two FA cup games) were. And as for City, i would say 1-3 at home to a McLeish plagued Villa, 0-3 vs Sunderland and 4-1 away to the worst Liverpool team in half a century (not to mention letting them win at The Bridge three times on the spin) was pound for pound worse.

You don't go and effectively say your players are shit while you have to rely on them still, Conte took that approach and look what happened there. I didn't watch the press conference was he asked or did he volunteer the info? If the latter he probably should have kept quiet but if asked he gave the correct answer, it's the middle ground between saying we need an overhaul (which will piss off the players) and saying we need no one (which will piss off the fans), that answer keeps both relatively content.

The CL yes because they were desperate to get the trophy and a mix of fate and that got it. The league performances however were a disgrace all of that season and the year before and only 15 /16 (in the Roman era) was worse.

Higuain aswell, wasn't a shot but he was one on one with whoever VVDs partner was and a bit more pace would have had him clean through. It was looking very much like a boring nil nil at half time. Liverpool had their ten minute spell and took advantage, we had ours and didn't, admittedly after that they saw out the game quite comfortably however most times we play that game it's a one goal loss at worst which in the context of a CL tie wouldn't be the worst result ever.

We both had three big chances each, the unfortunate difference was Liverpool took two of there's.
-
Unfortunately the two best teams in Europe right now are City and Liverpool, and we competed well with both four times out of five this season. With good signings and the right loanees brought back we should be looking at a good run in the tournament, the quality in the competition isn't half as daunting as a few years ago.
-
If Liverpool win the league on top of this Pep has to go to prison.
-
If there's one positive that can come out of this from our side is that a team one game away from finishing below us has made the final. So this team with a top quality LB and ST should be looking at making a deep run in the CL next year.

Had the chance to do a months work in a remote part of South Africa flying out June 1st but couldn't get the money together on time. I could have escaped this nightmare
-
This situation has been my worst nightmare since i was a boy, already planning a weekend away on June 1st to take myself away.
-
We've got 24 days to find a loophole that allows both to lose the final.

Three guesses who Ten Hag looks up to?

If Pepe doesn't want to come here i wouldn't mind Ziyech or Neres. Would say we should go for VDB but we're good for young advanced CM's.
-
That season was probably our worst for lack of creativity, our double winners stagnated and any half competant defense contained us with ease.
-
City lowkey need to do quite a bit of business this summer. D. Silva's declining rapidly and Aguero's not that far behind, they need a new set of fullbacks (Walker's losing his pace a bit, Danillo's been a disappointment and Mendy's always injured) and a new DLP.

The hearing is the discussions around the final decision, the ban will hopefully be lifted as soon as the appeal's lodged.
-
No I've picked two examples, i can't be bothered to go through every game 1 by 1.
-
We also shown fight against City under Sarri twice out of three. I'm not saying we are as good as Liverpool right now that would be lunacy, but the base of this squad have won two league titles under extreme pressure, an FA Cup, a league cup with a tough run got to another final with a tough run and may win a Europa. You don't gain that type of return lacking fight.
-
FIFA were always going to reject the appeal, CAS are the big hope.
-
We did fight against Barcelona last season, up until Messi's second at the Nou Camp we were looking the better team over the two legs.

Since the start of a 20 team PL, 71 points has been enough for top 4 on 20 occasions out of 23 (we could make 74 points which would have been enough 22/23). It's easy to say we are here because of United and Arsenal bottling it, but i can flip it around and say we were only run close by them because both had a 3 month spell of title winning form. Had we got top 4 with 59 points then yes we did get very fortunate and have other teams to thank for allowing it to happen, however we are on a very healthy total relative to a top 4 challenge and it's very unfair to say other teams are the only reason we're here.
