Jose's win the 2015 title at all costs goal exhausted the players mentally, Conte acted like a cunt and made the working environment toxic. Completely worlds apart from what is happening now, we're trying to build something long lasting and sustainable, that isn't going to happen overnight especially if we want to build it significantly through our academy side.

Any news on his injury? Huge blow if he's out for any real period of time.

Was talking to a friend last night and we came to the conclusion none of the top six teams are particularly well run up top these days. City and Liverpool are where they are because of their managers (especially the latter) and Levy has ruined all his good work by letting the team stagnate. It's almost comes down to which manager has the best plan, I think even Arsenal could make a title challenging side with the right manager appointment.

I don't think there's any real pattern, the 'problem' is the fact we are just a very inconsistent team right now. We will out football Ajax away, force a finished article Liverpool side to park the bus for a whole half while simultaneously losing to teams we should be burying, it's the way it is at this point. Hopefully some good signings added to the young players being a year ahead in development will see these inconsistency issues erode bit by bit but at this point we just got to ride with the punches.

For me the minimum requirement was challenge for top four while showing some encouragement that the projected end product is something worth sticking by, so far it's so far so good on both counts. Although he needs to stop playing Kante week in week out, unfortunately I think Rudi is untouchable aswell.

I don't think there's very much chance of losing all ten.
-
I swear we could face Bakayoko by himself and you'd find a way to make us underdogs.
-
Ironic thing is I'd rather we have our blips when I'm away (if we have to have one). Atleast that way I'd have a proper distraction
-
I can take dropping two points cause of how wasteful we were in attacking situations but no way did they deserve to win. Still feels surreal they nicked this.

Thought I'll spread some good news. After Arsenal I'll be abroad for a month, and our record when I'm out of England is immaculate, this season especially.
-
Yeah but that position doesn't exist with the system we play now so it's about getting the best out of him within the system. I love him but it's no coincidence we do so much better against the shithouse sides when Barkley or Kova play in his position. I'm seriously concerned this will turn into a United/Rooney situation in the coming years.
-
Which teams will you reckon will gazump us?
-
The only time he's played as a CDM was Conte's first six games and it went so well he changed the entire system.
-
I still think we're best placed. I'm not going to overreact on defeat any more than I do on wins (i instantly poured cold water on any title talk when we won six in a row).
-
At 0-0 I would have took my medicine and moved on, we aren't at the level yet to guarantee wins against this type of shithousery. But boy, not even Harry Hill could make that sort of late troll job up.
-
Strange thing is we've played better today then we did at home to these guys yet at home everyone was relitevely calm but this time round losing their shit.
-
Given recent form, the chances of them bringing their game equate about as highly as Kepa getting the winner.
-
Sorry but Arsenal are in their worst run of form since the 70s. It would take our worst performance for decades for them to "whoop" us.
-
No we won't.
-
Agreed, I think Tomori should be ahead of Kurt but atleast it seems Frank may be starting to settle on a back four which will help our issues at the back.
-
I really hope we aren't going to end up in a Rooney/United situation with Kante in the coming years (ala he plays no matter what because of how good he was/is at his absolute best). He shouldn't have walzed back in the lineup after such a convincing win without him last week.
-
2/3 ain't bad I guess.
-
Pulisic should be a left winger, Odoi right (mainly due to his chemistry with Reece) while Jadon if he signs should switch between both (he does it at Dortmund) depending on which of the other is playing.
-
Yes and equally world war three could break out. If we were 5th behind a team who has had and came out the other side of an awful run would you honestly give us a chance of catching them? In terms of teams putting a run, I am only really be worried about United. For all Ole's faults his happy clappy way of managing could be a strength if they get some confidence and momentum going. Spurs however don't look capable of stringing two wins together let alone a run, Arsenal are way behind, for perspective both have to be near perfect from now till the end to even make 70 points (Spurs can afford two cock ups while Arsenal can only afford one). I would say there's more of a chance of us catching Leicester than there is either North London side catching us, significantly more so infact.

I'm not sure he did. I think he fell into the trap many have of rating that squad based on what they were not what they are.
