What a game!!! The second half felt like the Barca-Chelsea semi final CL game and final save from Mendy was actually a jaw dropping one. As the gaffer said we were lucky but returning with 3 points is what covers the second half.

We didnt hence why we lost. We didnt create one to start with and as I said before we allowed them to dictate the game ... a side like City if you give them too much respect they wouldnt let u come up. We spend the money on players who we needed to built a team, a winning side. Last season we won the Champions league and this year we are already touted as the team who can replace the champions (a little too much for me). But we still want more players because we can ... we're never satisfied, mate never satisfied.

It is not a conjecture, u win a game of football when u score so if you're not going to push then your surely not winning. We started that push only after they hit us and were not clinical. So maybe they were tired guess that will apply to us as well but we still came out in the second half. Yes agreed on City being one of the few teams who can beat us ... but just having new blood every summer is not going to change it. Our investment in the last 2 years has been nothing but excellent and have achieved results as well. I sure there will be more coming in but not all at once kind of approach.

Didnt deserve a win atleast with the way we started, not sure why we sat back in the first half. We allowed them to take control, be confident and execute their plans well. Started to play with more purpose after the goal but couldnt really make any real impact in the final third. More importantly they seem more determined for longer spell in the game. Since we're early in the season, this should be lesson learned kind of match and strength it. The team has potential to go all the way.

Superb game and a tactical masterclass indeed! The ability to analyze the game in real time and accordingly make changes which can alter the results in our favor is what is expected from manager and Tuchel is keeping up to that expectations. In terms of in game management, Tuchel is 10/10. We couldnt control the first half though we defended very well and the duo of Kane / Son hardly had serious attempt despite being in control. Mount wasnt in his element yesterday and a change was much needed. Introduction of Kante got us what we missed in the first half with Werner come in later opened up spaces. We should had scored around 5 goals. MOTM was clearly Thiago Silva, what an effort. In control, was a menace for the opponents, scored a goal, closed down the open spaces behind. Kudos!!! Clearly this is a well oiled team in play with the Manager along with his staff keeping an Eagle eye in game for any improvement. Superb!!! Hope this doesnt end

Well anything is possible and I just not want it to be done ... simple as that. Arsenal can always say we spend so much in this window and we will give u the same in the next summer ... with Conte off work right now, he might just be tempted to take it ...

Hope this doesnt happen ... Conte would actually improve the team and would impose a winning mentality ...

Maybe thats why we wouldn't be leading a successful club like Chelsea 😎

Good game from Chelsea, very gritty performance ... we were aggressive with 11 players and disciplined with 10. Loved the approach, i was thinking that both teams would sit back and defend which would make it boring. But loved the way we approached the game, speaks volume about the team. The best and most encouraging moment for me was when the team came together after the final whistle in a huddle, shows how much everyone is invested in each other, as a team.

I glad they beat them the way they did ... because it is fun to know the reaction of the fans, suddenly the team is back, Aubameyang is back, 130m justified, etc etc ... complete 180 turn post all the defeats including pre season.... which would potentially go back to the same if they were to lose the next 2 games. Like A Pendulum! Note: Now that i have opened my big mouth, i hope i dont jinx the pendulum!!!

I hope Willian stays at Arsenal so that chance of Conte joining them would be low ... 🤞

Good win and good second debut by Lukaku. All round performances from everyone and the bench strength really looks great. However we need to be ruthless going forward if we need to win the title. We were in command for most part but there were time when we release our foot off the pedal that is something that we cannot allow. It is early days but I would hope that we kill the game rather than allowing our opponents any chance.

Regret , definitely no ... because we can always buy the player back. We have a history with that as well.

Pogba is good, he has the talent but a world class ... I dont think so! U urself said he is inconsistent unprofessional footballer ... so how can he be a world class and inconsistent at the same time. There has been talks of he moving here and there but in actual United has been the only big contract ... maybe the only one. And yes, Mount is still underrated ... by lot of fans (most of are Chelsea fans)

Agreed. With a little tweaking he can actually make the no 8 or the double pivot as his own with someone like Kante who can compliment him well. Mount is a versatile player in my opinion and so early in his career he has shown he can adapt and learn. He might not be a superstar in the making but he surely is the One to Have in your team.

Well put. I feel Lukaku would jump on this because this will be his mostly last big payout and I doubt if any other top team is coming for him other than us. I hope really hope that he performs ... the issue is that we have been crying out loud when Werner has been missing goals, with Lukaku coming in we might have 2. Yes he might score more goals than Werner (still hopefully though) but as you rightly pointed out it will leave us wanting more and we go into the same loop.

Sorry mate but why would we want to look this from Tuchel's perspective ... It is Chelsea FC not Tuchel FC. We need to support the manager (which we have more or else supported) and all but Club would want to look this from long term angle ... yes your right, given our history Tuchel might not be around for next 2 years but Lukaku would be and the club would have to fund his massive wages ... If he comes in now, end of contract would be at 33 (assuming that is the normal deal) and we might not be able to sell him off if he doesnt turn up.

Why? We shouldnt be kidding as well about such things ...
