  1. What is happening right now is a complete mystery and baffling to me because have not been able to put a marker on one particular thing as the root cause. We needed a new owner who would rebuild and invest ... We got someone who has already spend insane amount of money and now also has formed some sort of hierarchy which was missing under Roman's era. While Tuchel's sacking was unfortunate, we replaced him with an upcoming English manager which again lot of people were hoping for but the results has been again very disappointing. The players we have are not average by any standards, we have won the CL recently with them. Even the new signings are touted as potentially world class. There are moments where you would go Wow which tells they are good but then most of the time they are lost ... yesterday we could see them communicating with each other whenever the game use to stop which tells they talk amongst each other 🙂. Still the team seems so disjointed. I'm not a fan of Lampard the manager but cant completely blame Lampard because he changed the side to find a solution and it didnt work At this point of time, i dont know what to change because we literally changed or are changing everything and yet the outcome is frustrating ... Yes getting in quality is one solution, but would another overhaul guarantee us results? Yesterday was a pathetic game ... It is not the loss that I m frustrated but it is the manner in which it happened. Journey of 22-23 season should be a case study on how things can get messed up! Hoping against hope that we collectively head into the right direction!
  2. Brighton's link up play is another level ... The goal was coming, no surprise
  3. Why Sterling, is beyond me ... Gallagher can understand, for me he is like a poor man's Mount 🙂 Good see Zakaria and young defensive line up of Chalobah, Fofana, Badiashile ... They would be put to test & would be interesting to see how they operate. Rest it is going to be a frustrating game in the final third.
  4. Make changes for the next 2 matches & take it from there. Mendy James Silva Badadiashile Chilwell Kante Enzo Mount Madueke Mudryk David Fofana There is nothing more to lose for us ... we already are near rock bottom.
  5. 4 matches, 3 different managers, 2 different tournaments, 0 goals, 5 conceded. 0% hope, 100% frustration. Nice stats!!!
  6. Looking yesterday's game, I believe the most optimist would also concede that we arent going to win, which is a given ... now it is by how much are we going to lose 😞
  7. In fact I wouldnt be surprised if we win against Liverpool ... new manager could trigger a new style of play or just allow everyone to do what they want ... HOPEFULLY. There is talent in the team it is important how they are directed, Kante could be the missing piece if he manages to play.
  8. Most of the managers that we had in the recent past were aggressive, determined, egoïstic, passionate while Potter came across too soft, submissive and out of depth. I believe Boehly & the English media wanted Potter to be a success desperately however Potter didnt help himself. Guess this will be a first in sometime that we sacked 2 managers in one season.
  9. Except for the tempo of the game there was nothing good to write for us. Missing out easy chances, circling around the final third, no much penetration, wrong personals ... sums it up ... yes, same old speech in the post match. Another similar day in the life of Chelsea's fan this season. BTW is David Fofana with us or is injured or on loan ... havent heard anything about him.
  10. Completely agree that it is surely annoying to relate to Arteta's story ... everyone goes through the motions and create's their own. What depends is the direction in which they moving which will allow the people on the top to make a call, for me Potter is not showing anything currently which gives me the hope that there will be a turn around in the near future. We're trying out bad strategy expecting change in fortunes.
  11. Everyone goes through a patch but more importantly the quality was there ... I dont care on the bust up if things can be mend for the greater good.
  12. I hope Boehly buries his difference with Tuchel & appoints him. Feel there is unfinished business for Tuchel and he has proven himself at the highest level.
  13. After today's game I'm confident that we're doing the same things expecting different results. Are the players to be blamed, hell yes! However how to do plan & strategize is to the gaffer. And there're so many gaps which indicates that Potter is not able to keep it together Constant chopping & change. Not sure on the first 11 Same tactics with different people. Link up from behind to the middle is sorted but transition from middle to in front is at best average and link up around the final third is non existent. Too many touches in the final third is killing the momentum. The obsession of keeping possession is not helping. All the above boils down to the Gaffer & the technical staff. Players are not interested when they take on the field. In game intelligence was zero, eg: Mudryk had 2 players on him whenever he had the ball but instead of doing a quick pass he was keen to take them both ... Chilwell's positioning for the second goal was duh! ... so many times when we should have done an overlap but the player goes & waits half way ... there was a need to play a one touch game & feed the ball into the box but we just keep pushing it away. Not in favor of sacking managers but Potter is not helping himself.
  14. WTF! If he had to be sacked should have done before. If the communication dried up then what were they waiting for ... it was always showcased that we're building a team for Tuchel and suddenly he is sacked. This is simply stupid, Tuchel surely bought this upon himself but this is not the way to disrupt the season
  15. The only positive from the game was 3 points ... would have taken a draw, that is how bad we were. We got lucky big time on Saturday (it needed an individual brilliance to get us going) , we were pathetic. Missed out the ball too many times, very defensive in our approach, bad calls by ref, opposition playing bad (there were time when they picked up and we were seen wanting for solutions). I dont get why are we not in the opposition box making runs and opening gaps, we keep hovering in the middle of the pitch without much meaningful inroads into the final third. With such tactics even if we had Haaland he would had struggled. Tuchel and the team has to really find sync else we are looking to finish outside top 6.
  16. What a turn around from last week to this ... absolute crazy. Had mentioned that it's how we keep the momentum going rather than showcasing it on a single game. I believe Leeds manager mentioned in his interview that he would go all out against Chelsea (thought i read it somewhere) and still we tried to soak their pressing by just playing at the back. While last week our off the ball runs were really good whereas today it seems that we just didnt wanted to. The players are to be blamed but Tuchel has to take a large part of it, if we want to play it from the back then we need to ensure that the flow goes ahead rather being struck in our own half. RLC at wingback doesnt make sense, James has to move there. Cucurella can come in at LCB while Chilwell can move left. If we continue playing like this we will end up around 6th to 9th position. We need to really step up and rethink our tactics else it is a disastrous season in the making.
  17. Frustrated with the result, that second goal once the decision was not in our favor ... had a feeling it is coming. However kudos to the team baring a few things here and there, I believe we were bang on and really played well. Everyone put in the shift, were determined, was taking the opposition head on ... basically it had everything which you want to see from our team. It is just the result which didnt go with the performance. What is going to important is that we have to maintain this tempo with every game to get to a position which is better than previous year. 👏👏👏👏👏 P.S. ... forget it.
  18. He is there to seize the opportunity and buy Barca 😉
  19. Good to see positive posts for Mount. I have a feeling that he would end up being underrated for most of his career because he doesnt bring the swag which half decent players brings to the table. Hoping good thing from Mount.
  20. Watching Chelsea is becoming very frustration with every passing game. Not sure what are we up to, we have taken a complete 180 turn from where we were last year at this time. Have kept saying this that we don't make any penetrating run in the final third, we keep playing in an arc outside the final third and continue doing that. Havetz got drawn into the classic mind tactics from Mina and kept going back to it. Rudiger seems so disinterested yesterday. Wenger keeps doing what he does, no chemistry at all. Loftus Cheek was the only highlight yest ... the runs he made with the ball shooing off 3-4 players was a WTF moment. I m worried that we might lose out on top 4 if we continue like this.
  21. Last match was not the right match to judge the team because it wasnt a case of us playing well but United were bad as shits. And the best part they still mustered a point. Our passing, 1 to 1, domination actually looked world class ... i m sure it would go for every team when they are playing against a non existence side. One moment was enough for them to get the goal and we toiled entire 90 mins for our one. Not sure why we changed Werner with Lukaku ... atleast Werner was trying things and dragging defenders with him because of his pace, Lukaku was WTF. We need desperately need a goal scoring player. Yesterday result felt like a loss than a draw.
  22. Superb effort! Exactly what we need from our team. Winning and losing are all about small factors while few lapses & few things didnt go our way ... the approach was spot on, it always felt like we were in the game for the first 80 mins ... boy! to see 3-4 on the score board was something I didnt think would happen post our first game. But kudos to the players for giving it all. Would go out on a limp and say if we were able to keep this consistency throughout the season, we would had been on top of the table without a doubt. Well played, Chels!
  23. I believe we need to win to achieve points so basically a player who doesnt cost us much is atleast putting a performance against the so called weaker team against a 100M player, I m sure I will take the player who delivers. U can cancel out different measurable parameters and at the end of the day everyone's contribution would come down to single figure. Is he a world class player ... surely no ... not sure if he would achieve that elite level but feel he is one of those players who is needed in a team. More importantly the person that matters the most sees something in him & is picking him for 80% - 90% of the time yet we feel his contribution could amount of zero.
  24. To be honest, I dont think there is shame in losing ... Someone has to. The issue is how you lose or even how you win speaks volume of the team. And the last 2 games are more like we allowed them to win. I dont think the players can hold their heads high after the last 2 games and for me that is the issue. Hoping really hoping that we find our mojo back.
