That 6-0 wasn't that the game where Ferreira was made a mug of several times by some player but we still hammered them. That's my point about 'Carlo out'. After a 6-0 win you can't post on here and say you want Carlo out, people will think you're mad. Anyway most of the time against lowly opposition it's normally a straight forward 3 points,it's when we come up against a real test we are exposed. I remember at the start of the season,Fergie along with many others were saying how easy our start to the league had been. I didn't believe them and thought it was sour grapes. Then sure enough as soon as the frist tough fixture(Man city away) comes along we lose.So maybe they had a point all along. Well i'm neither,I think more a realist.

You mean pessimist? I know we've had many worse seasons and managers, but we've not had much better squads and individual players, not to mention opposition for the title being awful this season. If we were still a pauper side I could understand it. But I can't get why or how we've been bad all season.

Fernando Torres: Too good to play for Chelsea?
spuz replied to Henri's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
The trouble is at Liverpool he played the same formation every week, with the same players and would most of the time get 90 mins. Here he's played with Anelka,Kalou,Drogba on his own, coming on for 10 mins, going off at half time, going off with 25 mins. left. He needs full games with a regular partner. -
In my opinion, the double last season masked over problems. As has already been pointed out on here the FA cup was as straight forward as you're ever likely to get. The premiership last season,we lost a fair few silly points/games and despite beating Arsenal and Man u twice we still only won the league by a point on the last day. Also despite the record amount of goals we were still very poor at times and in my opinion fortunate. I know people don't like us being described as fortunate but it's true, last season could easily have seen us finish empty handed if we had drawn a game last season with Man u rather than won, would that make Carlo any worse a manager? Because that would make it 2 years (presuming we don't win it this year) without the league. I could see this season coming last season or even judging by his Milan record way before he even joined us. Of course last season if I was to come on here and say we fluked it,I would soon be shot down. Like I said, people see the 2 shiney trophies and don't look beyond that. If i didn't sing when we were winning I'd be accused of being a man u fan or something so you can't really criticise when we're winning. As for the squad being too small,he still had Anelka and Kalou aswell as Sturridge up front. Aswell as Kakuta,Bruma etc. Granted it's a blow losing Drogba and Lamps but we still had enough in the squad. I can't believe people think Deco,Ballack and Cole are a miss. and why does Carlo state he wants to stay if Roman is interfering so much. As for the ageing squad thing,I thought we'd offloaded all the pensioners in the summer so our squad isn't that old really. The things that worry me are the amount of losses this season (more than Grant and Scolari put together). Being knocked out of the CL as soon as we come up against a decent team. This year against Man u we had a fully fit squad to choose from so no excuses there. Poor team selection, poor subs etce etc,the stuff you've heard a million times before. This season is what I correctly predicted and feared and feel next year will be much of the same.

Instead of slagging of fellow Chelsea fans and calling them nasty names that begin with C an calling them spoilt, why not counter arguments and tell us reasons why Carlo is the right man?

My (and andy Gray's) team of the year. ................Van der sar Neville.....Vidic..........Ferdinand........Evra Gerrard...Fabregas...Scholes...Giggs ............Rooney........Suarez Subs. Carragher Carrick Tevez Nani Skrtel Carroll Clichey Van Persie Wilshere

Shitarito booked for diving and rightly so despite what Fergie says. However Newcastle denied a clear penalty when anderson tripped Lovenkrands. More luck!
-
He said all this last summer. Well I always say he never learns, same mistakes over and over with him. For someone so experienced he should be doing better.
-
What if we're awful all season then what? Blame malaria, injuries, lack of depth, selling Ballack and Deco, players under performing,Ray Wilkins departure, torres' arrival,Roman's fault. Roman must have kept choosing an unfit Drogba. Roman must have elected Ferreira ahead of Bruma at centre back. Roman chose Ferreira as a sub when needing 2 goals. Roman chooses to give Torres sub appearances here and there destroying his confidence more. Roman kept persisting with lamps when he was woeful. Roman kept persisting with the usual midfield that got out passed and out fought every week. Roman never rests players. Roman never gives youth a chance. Roman never rotates the squad. Damn you Roman stop interfering.

What ban did Rio get for his behaviour at the weekend? Anyone know what Van Persie got for calling the ref a joke against Barca?
-
I've got a revolutionary idea. How about vote when the season has actually ended or the week before.
-
If he's here for next season, what happens after that though? I think he'll do one more unsuccessful season tops then leave out of contract. People are saying we need stability but he's only got one more season in him.
-
Some 'fans' look at the shiney trophies won last season and don't look beyond that.
-
This new assistant manager that everbody talks of. I hope he's some kind of miracle worker.
-
No wonder he's been running around with a spring in his step recently. What I find shocking is that JT couldn't get a super injunction because apparently he wanted to protect his sponsorship deals. Which is stupid,if one footballer can't get a super injunction then surely no footballer can. What's the difference.
-
Lamps can actually play the holding role quite well. Prolong his career by playing him there.
-
Why is the twat sat next to him allowed on the show. He's one of the most anti Chelsea idiots out there.
-
Yes they are all at it now. I'm sure rules were brought in though to stop clubs changing kits every season and also prices came down. I take it that's all out the window now. Personally I prefer the new one,get rid of this horrible red collar one and all the bad memories that comes with it.
-
Just wondered why you had such an obsession with Biesla. You're not American though?
-
I said him before on here and got laughed at. People on here are like Roman,if he's not won the champions league they're not interested. We should have got martin O'neil back in January like I said, on a contract until the end of the season to see how things go. Let's face it,couldn't be any worse. I think because he's a brit though virtually rules him out straight away,I'd be very surprised if we hired a brit.
-
Possibly at the moment he's up there. But we need to wait until summer, see who would actually come to us. (In my opinion) ............... For criteria,I'd like someone that plays 4-4-2 primarily, motivates players, plays them in their correct positions, plays good pass and move football, no more hoofball, coaches on tactics and set peices, makes the correct subs in a game, not be afraid to take off an under performer, can change formation in a match.
-
Justin3d are you Chilean or Argentinian by any chance?
-
No I did say to you Guus as a stop gap if necessary, but not my first choice.
-
What did i say specifically several times,to you ??? WAIT UNTIL THE SUMMER. I did say I would rather have Guus in for a start.
-
If nobody does advise him, then somebody really needs to start advising him. You can't appoint somebody because they're a 'champions league manager'. As we've found out this and last season, there's no such thing.
