Every story might be a plant, but it worries me that there are rumours for CBs when the squad have only 3 midfielders and 5 CBs.

The problem is that it expected from him to do all the work in mid. He is impressive player indeed, but puting someone like Cesc next to him in that formation is basically letting all the work to Kante. I just don't want to imagine the team without him, can't wait to see Bakayoko next to him. If Chelsea had actually a board who are using their heads, there would have been already someone next to him and Kante and the whole team would be playing better.

Exactly! We have only 1 fit CM , but the club is after 6th CB, not counting Tomori and Clarke-Salter.... I agree the squad needs CB also, but it desperately needs new CM,LWB and RWB also. And if we sign new CB, it better be someone like VVD, who will improve the team, I'd trust Tomori far more than this Sanzhez guy.

I wasn't able to watch the full game, only till 20th minute, I saw the red card wich imo it never was one, but looks like the refereeing will be like this against the champions this year. Unfortunately there isn't anything positive in this result for me. Losing from a side like Burnley, at home, in the first game of the year. Conceding 3 goals also. Also, the board did "perfect" job this window and you can see how good the squad is in numbers and in quality, something our manager begged for to be done, unfortunately he was let down by the pathetic people working in the club. Next 3 games are against 3 strong teams and we will be missing Hazard, Cahill, Cesc, Bakayoko and Pedro probably. We have only 1 midfielder for the match against spurs... 😀 Thank you board. Of course it could be worse, but the start of the season is horrible. Next 3 games will show a lot in what direction our team is going, I really hope the players will respond good after the first game, it will be fun to read the team sheet for the next game. The only positive thing for me was Morata's goal, hope it will boost his confidence and start scoring a lot, because we will need that.

It's even more sad when you think there is CL this season and have to compete with this "depth" of the squad.

Can't believe the club will start the league with only 2 fit mids. And when you know they are Cesc and Kante, who don't play so good next to each other, the situation is even more f8cked up... Hope at least Boga or Musonda starts, prefer to see them than playing Morata out of position. The bench also gonna be fun.

I admit I haven't seen a lot of this player, but I believe Aurier is far more decent player. Also, Valencia had really poor last season. He is probably target number 260 in Conte's shortlist.

I really want to meet the person who thought selling Matic to a direct rival and bringing, probably, Drinkwater is a good idea. Can't believe there are people who actually get paid for coming up with ideas like this.

The thing is both manchester clubs made a really good summer transfers and strengthen their teams even more, while Chelsea, one can say, that they even make their squad weaker after this summer. Also there is CL competition this year and rotations have to be made, the problem is that there aren't players for rotations...

What I think is that the club needs some people who actually have played and have at least common knowledge in football, to work in our board. I know Emenalo is an ex player also, but it doesn't seem like he actually knows what is he doing. I'm really fed up with the lack of activity in the window, when everybody knows how desperately we need new signings.

It just feels so wrong losing trophies, doesn't matter how important they are, to arsenal... Couple of years ago arsenal were already losing even before the start of the match if their opposition was Chelsea...

If he stays and arsene doesn't care he will leave for free, bacause it could also be his last season with arsenal, Chelsea board should pull out(not sure if it's the right phrase) a Bayern, negotiate in the winter with him and reach an agreenment for coming for free next summer.

I know Moses is eligible to play this match, but I'd prefer to see Azpi as RWB and Rudiger as CB. Azpi seemed to move the ball a bit faster than Moses, I'm fed up with how long Moses and Willian are keeping up the ball and in the end they lose it. Also, Rudiger might be useful as his long passing range seems really good and could give some nice passes to Pedro or Bats behind arse defence. I really hope Chelsea win this match, the transfer activity is really depressing me, so I'd like to see something positive at least. A win and this kind of trophy will definitely boost the confidence in our players before the long season.

He will leave anyway, I'm sure he is more than frustrated with the board's actions.

Not available for Arsenal and almost certainly not available for Burnley... We are gonna struggle a lot in midfield, pathetic board...

He has his squad number from last season, so there is no surprise you see that on Chelsea web page. Still, If Chelsea manage to buy new LWB, I believe he will leave, either on loan or permanent.

If the deal go through, which I'm not really sure will happen, I'd feel sorry for Christensen. We have one of the best prospects in CB and bringing another CB will reduce his playtime to almost nothing. Other possible scenario would be to move Azpi as RWB, considering the club couldn't bring Conte's targets for RWB, and have Rudi,VVD,Christiansen,DL and Cahill for the CB spots. The best scenario for me would be bringing VVD in and loaning Christensen to Soton for the season as they are in need of CB.

For these money I'd prefer Dembele or even Mbappe.

About the Neymar transfer, I really agree with mou comments about the whole situation. He said that now the problem is that there will be more players going for 100m, 90m, 80m and that will be ridiculous. The consequences of this transfer will be bad and seeing how much Chelsea are willing to spend, I'm starting to get worried. Now with such money in Barca account, the surely can afford Coutinho for even 120m, let say, that's f8cking huge for him. Probably Neymar deal will lead to some more big deal till the end of the window, I expect some more exciting deals, but what I really hope is that Chelsea to finally sign someone

Exactly, promoting some kid from u18 even, would be better than spending such money for such a crap player. Hope everything is just a bullsh*t.

I think he doesn't want to be in Messi's shadow anymore, in PSG and even whole France league, he will be the main star. Although I also can't understand his decision, of course he will receive more money, but If I were him, I'd never go from one of biggest team in the world and playing with the likes of Messi, Suarez and Iniesta to PSG and weaker league. But wathever is said, this deal is huge and will be remembered for a long time.
