Wait what? We have to settle for Van Ginkel? Van Ginkel has looked much better than Merieles, Raul was a flop if anything, he never performed as we expected him to perform. He was always inconsistent and giving away the ball, MVG looks like someone who could become really good in a few year time. At his age now he's playing very good, I can't remember Meireles putting a good performance in like MVG did against Madrid.

Chelsea still looking to strengthen squad, says Ron Gourlay

Aye that he can, plus another Belgian is always welcome in the side, if he came I could never see him flopping or having any amount of huge pressure on him. And if we made a bid he would have to consider it surely, he has like 4 national team mates over here. -
I think this is a game for Schurrle anyway Bayern have the best fullbacks in the world, Lahm and Alaba are like fucking playmakers at the back, they start so many attacks with there long range passing. We need to put pressure on them both we can't lay off them. Dortmund lay off them because they always go for the counter attack, but that's not us, so we can't allow them to springboard against us or we are going to give Bayern chances. Schurrle will certainly help in putting pressure on them.

I'm going to go 1-0 to us

It would be a brilliant signing, only thing is Zenit aren't going to sell. They bought him for like 40 million? That means we would have to pay over that. -
Hmmm, going to go with this one now Cech Azpi-Cahill-Terry-Cole Ramires-Mikel Schurrle-Mata-Hazard Lukaku I'm looking for an ambitious side, Mata has got a point to prove, it's time for Mikel to at least get a game as he's sat out 3 games now, and perhaps get Azpi in it now?

He's not that good of a footballer, his first touch and ball control is very sloppy, he just manages to push people off him when they try to get round him. Only thing is that stuff only works a few times. I wouldn't say no to him in our team because we need a midfielder but I certainly wouldn't pay 25 million. -

Yes just please get a defensive midfielder. -
They've pretty much signed a new team, that could have a bad effect also. And from what I've heard they haven't played well on there first two games, particularly their 2nd game. They had to play more direct and couldn't keep a good passing game going. But they have certainly got much better quality than Arsenal, only thing is has Lamela or Eriksen even signed yet?
-
I'm not understanding the logic here? You're just putting players on a team sheet then drawing arrows from them over and over again on about 6 sheets of paper.
-
I just went to the Arsenal forum and they are saying 'Oh of course Chelsea get the easiest group' That is just straight up hypocrisy right there, Arsenal always get the easy groups they are worse than United, we had fucking Shaktar and Juventus last season.
-
I don't think this has ever been convincing. De Rossi is a loyal player, he rejected Man City when he could've doubled his wages and play in a better league just to stay at Roma. It's a shame mind because we need a central midfielder, it's something we aren't so strong in, but we will probably go buy another centre attacking midfielder instead.

Oh it's Tomo posting for a few likes again, like I said don't talk to me anymore, don't talk about me anymore, don't even acknowledge me anymore because I'm done with you after what you did. And as for the derailment guys I do apologize, maybe all the hype is getting to me, but if we win against Bayern I'll buy everyone a round. (In the pub section of course)
-
Hahahahaha fuck you Arsenal, from easy to hard
-
We can't complain with that, got a much easier group than we did the past two seasons. Lets just hope we avoid Napoli.
-
Good side, but we can handle them, get in we got a bit of luck at least.
-
Trust Arsenal to get the easiest team in pot 2, lucky bastards.
-
Mikel usually does play decent against United, that's because we always stay in our own half. He was definitely an upgrade from Ramires that game, Ramires was very poor, he couldn't keep the ball or anything. Whereas Mikel can be trusted with that job and you can have confidence on Mikel keeping the ball. Unfortunately that wont change anything in the future, we aren't going to have many games like we did against United where we are sat more deep, we are going to be stretching a lot more, and there will be a shit load more space to be covered and we all know Mikel can't do that.
-
Welcome Eto'o I'm not confident on the signing but welcome, I hope he does well here and gets the support and backing he needs.
-
That would be a huge shame to make a bad impression on those who already think so bad of us. Well he warrants a ban more than Rupert did, he's gotten away with 3 blatant insults also, and now he's trying to bait me into an argument which ain't going to work. However one thing I could do is constantly follow him to every thread which he argues on and bring the same stuff up about him starting arguments, until more people catch on and boom he gets his first warning and we work on from there. Kojo does that.
-
You can't have two italian teams in the same group
-
Rupert was banned for starting arguments about Benitez and Torres, however he never insulted anyone once he was clever. Jay C has been starting arguments and derailing almost every thread, now he's having an argument about the United match in the Bayern vs Chelsea thread, and he has insulted people calling them idiots. Yet this guy doesn't even get a ban? Where the fuck is the logic in this, please do something here.
-
Can people just shut the fuck up about Benitez please Move the fuck on, I am sick to death of hearing comparison with Benitez and that well if Benitez did this we would be like blah blah blah MOVE THE FUCK ON
-
Pessimistic? You obviously haven't been reading my posts, I'm one of the few who are optimistic about our season here. Whilst everyone was complaining about the draw at Old Trafford I was explaining how we've got a point in the 2nd hardest game of our season, whilst everyone is crying about Cities transfers I've been the one saying they lack mental strength. I've been very far from pessimistic this season.

The chances of us getting an easy group are very low though. Just look at all those teams, there are many good teams per seed so I don't expect an easy group. The easy groups are for United and Arsenal.
