  1. Very good result for us. That's the problem with City they lack the mental strength, they will drop a lot of points this season. Even if we lose our games against City, but still manage to beat the mid table and relegation candidates we will win the title. I think this will come down to points, not performances this season, points will win us that title, and we have to get 3 points by any means necessary.
  2. Maybe it could be a blessing in disguise then? For 30 million the last thing he needs is pressure, if we don't have much thought on him or any high expectations then we might end up loving the guy.
  3. I lost Sky Sports a few days ago and now I have to live on streams, it's so frustrating, every stream on firstrowsports just stops every 2 seconds. Anyone got a good stream for City game or at least got a good stream site?
  4. This transfer request happened after Ferguson left... Everyone knows Rooney doesn't like David Moyes after what he said about Wayne in his book. I don't think Ferguson comes into this at all.
  5. Don't get worried about it, it's not the striker problem what has stopped us from winning the title. The past 3 seasons we wouldn't of won the title even if we had fat Ronaldo upfront in his prime. Our team has been gelling together, this is the actual season where we will go for the title. And yes we do need a striker, but I don't think we need any Robin Van Persie upfront and score us all the goals cause it ain't going to happen. We are a fluid team, all our team is going to score goals, all we could do with is what Bayern Munich do, when they just have someone like Mandazukic upfront, he's a good player but he's not world class. He's like a target man and a team player, he's not just out there to score goals he just causes problems for the defenders, instead the likes of Muller, Robben and Ribery chip in on a lot of goals they score. Not saying we need a false 9 we just need a deep striker, Rooney would even do but that isn't going to happen. Torres is finished and has been for some time, Ba is rotational at most, and Lukaku is still very young, we can't just shot him upfront. I can't see us getting a real goal scoring striker anytime soon, not a golden boot striker because it's not what we need, we will score goals as a team, so realistically there is no playmaker or target man in our team, the whole team plays in different positions.
  6. Their isn't that much speculation that he's leaving.
  7. I'm happy for him I still like the lad, It's a shame we had to get rid of him but I wish him all the best.
  8. If Sturridge didn't think he was the best player in the world, then he would be shit. To score goals you have to have a belief, that's what makes Sturridge a good player, he knows he can score against anybody, and just for that reason he's going to be a very good player.
  9. Look at this fantastic post from this extremely creative member of the spurs forum. Who goes by the name of Mr S, of course he would want us to think that the name Mrs was just a funny thing he put in there, not his stupidity to only just realize it after he put it. So according to the Spurs forum, Jose Mourinho is terrified of AVB, and apparently AVB has everything to gain and nothing to loose. Oh really? You're like what the 2nd highest spenders in the Premier League? So if Spurs don't finish 4th that means you're still going to be making profits, you're still going to be able to keep hold of players after you've proven you are spending yet you still can't finish in it? You know as much as I would like to see Arsenal out of top 4, I think I would love this one even more if Spurs didn't finish top 4 again, could you imagine the crises they would have, if anything they have more pressure than us. We could finish 3rd and we would come back stronger next season, you finish 5th and players are going to leave, and you're going to have to sell players because you've gambled on a season.
  10. 3 years ago, we would've been crying for this type of signing, and now we are overloaded with centre attacking mids and creative players and 70 percent of the forum aren't happy with the transfer. Just stating the obvious, but It's crazy how much the team has changed.
  11. 30 million is a lot of money However if he came I would welcome him. Another fluid player who can enhance our system, I think he could strengthen the side. Though for 30 million I'm sure we can use that money to strength other places rather than getting another CAM.
  12. Don't complain about the media, let them underrate us. Beginning of last season we where on fire and as soon as all the reports where saying Chelsea where in for the title we just completely bottled it. That came around our usual bad November. I wasn't that happy when I seen that all the bets where on us and we where favorites for the title. However if it keeps going this way and the media are going to slate our performances for just about anything, that's a bonus. Get the light shining on City, they are the real threats, let the pressure be on them.
  13. motm? really? He was okay, that was about it, I wouldn't say he was great. It's evident we need a new striker, Lukaku is not ready to be a starter, Ba is a squad player and Torres is far too inconsistent.
  14. WTF RAMIRES? You can't be confident with this guy on the ball at all.
  15. We need Azpi back And please replace Lampard jesus
  16. What's wrong with Oscars long range shooting?
  17. Worst stream ever, it's stopping every second for me.
  18. Yeah sure Lampard goes up, but you can't say that Mikel enhances the midfield completely, and if you look at the stats with and without Mikel last season it didn't look good. He made a few runs up, but the ball didn't get played to him, one game doesn't mean he's going to stick deep. But it's not like we need him running up that much anyway, we got 4 attacking players in our formation.
  19. Ramires wont play that role, I would say he's still playing box to box. In the Hull game he made a few runs upfield, he didn't play that deep. I think it's always going to be Ramires in the double pivot MVG-Ramires Lampard-Ramires Essien-Ramires Mikel-Ramires Honestly I'm expecting to see a lot more of MVG and Lampard in that pivot, just because Lampards old it isn't going to restrict him, it's clear Mourinho has huge respect for him, and he played very well against Hull. Mikel has barely played any games so far when you include pre season, I think that's very strange if hes supposed to be a key player.
  20. Last season everyone was complaining about boring groups, then everyone was excited that we got Juve and Shaktar last season. Look how that turned out. I'm hoping for the easiest group possible so we can focus on other competitions aswell.
  21. Going to be a difficult game, but we can beat them. Cech Azpi-Luiz(if fit)-Terry-Cole Ramires-MVG Moses-Mata-Hazard Ba
  22. I don't know how Mikel will fit in this system, Ramires is going to start almost every game, that's clear. But how is Mikel going to be needed? we don't need someone who sits deep, Van Ginkel and Lampard in the other slot play very well, they go forward now and then and the team becomes more fluid and unpredictable. We work harder so we don't get caught out on the counter attack as much, and we've gotten better so where not losing the ball as much. I just can't see Mikel getting much playing time in this team, and I'm not basing this after one game, because I hate people who do that. But I've said this pre season now. As for the Mikel supporters, Skipper and Choulo, do you think he has a place in the side?
  23. You don't even give an explanation you just say things, it's hard to have a good argument when you're not even reading what I'm saying, because if you did you wouldn't repeat the same statements I already proven wrong.
  24. What are you talking about? Stop using silly terms like bossing You're like one of those people who play football manager and say that those players in real life are BEASTS even though you've never seen them play. Yaya Toure is a world class player, but he does not 'boss' the midfield in anyway, he's a very lazy player, in fact he was the reason why Man City got knocked out in the Champions League, he gifted Ajax two goals, and he certainly didn't help in the Dortmund game. Players like Essien where the real box to box midfleders, always working hard, Toure does not even know the meaning of working hard. Can you please provide some intellect and stop using silly references, because you're just saying things that aren't even true for starters, but most of all you're overestimating Man City over one bloody game.
