Thanks. I've been following the Globo match reports and translating the comments section and he seems to have a growing fanbase.
-
What's his reputation now like in Brazil?
-
Let's not jinx it. We don't want him scoring an own goal before being sent off.
-
Hopefully now we'll hear less talk about the pivot. I think this was a summer move done early because Jose believes we can win the league this year. Hard to argue with that because we're well placed.
-
Thank god for that.
-
Thanks for clearing that up. Here I was thinking Huddlestone was the next coming of LeBron James with all that athleticism. I guess now I can't enjoy that bit of skill by Hazard because it in fact wasn't done against another footballer but a parapalegic who found himself on the field of play by winning a make a wish competition. Must you always be so negative? Serious question.

Some people will say anything to make excuses for Torres.
-
Just thinking out loud here and realised Mata last played on January 1st against Southampton. If everybody is fit and available for the next game Mata will almost cetrainly not feature at all. He hasn't played a single minute against any of the big teams this season (Arsenal, City, Liverpool and Utd away). Mourinho clearly doesn't trust him in these games. So with that said his next game may be in two weeks time against Stoke on the 26th. And even that's not a given considering he wasn't used against Hull yesterday.
-
He had another solid game. The only glaring mistake he mad was when Hazard (who was breaking into the box) tried to play a one-two with him in the fast half and Oscar didn't play it back. Hazard was clearly frustrated and rightly so because he lost his marker and would have been through on goal. Other than that he pressed hard, regained possession and was involved in the build-up to the first goal. Solid game.

How funny was it when he just took the piss out of Huddlestone at one point? He just toyed with him and then ran around him as if he wasn't there. Huddlestone was still turning when Hazard was 5 yards beyond him crossing the ball.
-
Yes, exactly the same. I have never denied that we can and have been very defensive when we need to. When Hull opened up even a little we looked like we could score.
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA You couldn't make this up. Torres only got his goal because Hull changed from being very defensive and the space opened up. Up until Hazard scored Hull closed all the space down, and as we already know Torres does not have the ability to get involved in a tight game. He is a very simple player who has no skill, he thrives on space but at Chelsea space is hard to come by because teams are afraid of opening up against us. Keep on blaming the midfield for you hero having no idea how to get involved in a game when space is at a premium. "He's always looking to make runs off the shoulder" HAHAHAHA what good does that do us when teams are defending deep? There is NO SPACE for him to run into. I'm convinced some of you have no clue.
-
First half was difficult because Hull had clearly changed their tactics to a 9-1 formation for this game.
-
Steve Sidwell has more league goals than any of our strikers and yet we're top of the league. Amazing.
-
Most players are at his age. Plenty of time for him to improve that aspect of his game.
-
It's understandable (although I doubt it's as 'low' *spits* as 40k). I doubt he was on a big salary in Brazil. His current deal allows the club to give him much better contracts when it's time for renewal, but they will also be sustainable for the club.
-
I've got the final on my TiVo. I'm known to watch it every now and again
-
Because he is - and at the age of 23 will continue to be for a very long time - as important to us as those players were to their teams. This a very strange argument and if ultimately what you're getting at is that we overrate our own players then go ahead.
-
Because Hazard is an important member of a team that has serious hopes of competing for honours for the next decade. That's worth more than 80m to me.
-
Based on how important he is to us, how good he is now and how good he can be. What's hard to get about Hazard being more important to us than PSG would offer in a transfer fee? Bale wasn't worth 85m but he was to Tottenham, they held out and got the fee that they were willing to accept. You think Madrid valued him at 85m? Of course not. Tottenham set the price, the same way Utd set Ronaldo's price. You're talking about selling him now because there's no guarantee he'll fulfil his potential. Why not, err, you know, actually give him a chance to fulfil said potential? Honestly, it seems like you're fishing for an argument for some strange reason. There's no need to always be contrary, friend.
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Look how slow he is trying to keep up with Ramires.
-
Xavi is still mad http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/photos/new-book-shows-barcelona-s-depths-of-despair-slideshow/lionel-messi-s-devastation-is-plain-to-see-photo-miguel-ruiz-photo-1186423368.html
-
Really? I think Ramires is easily the fastest player. Willian has an incredible burst of speed over the first 5-10 yards but I don't think he's as explosive over longer distances like Rami.
-
He's getting old. I think we need to sell him now while he's still worth something.
