Will only be a smart move if followed by the steps mentioned below : It's just the start of a whole squad shake up where there will be a lo of departures and at least 2 or 3 more signings .Drogba , Kalou and Anelka must leave if we sign falcao , and lukaku shouldn't be signed.Drogba to be used as part of player + cash deal for Modric , as Tottenham really need him and we need modric . would be a smart move by both clubs.The other signings should be a creative CM (modric) and 2 wingers and one of them should be hulk as he has already proved to work wonders along side with falcaoTorres and Falcao should never start together , Torres should have another chance to lead the line with falcao coming in the last 20 minutes if we need goals and rotated with fernando every now and then , If torres fails again then Falcao should get the chance to prove himself.I know a lot will hate me for this but sturridge is not a CF , he is more of a SS . he doesn't have the attributes to play as a lone striker as his movement isn't top notch a la El nino , he is not strong talisman who can hold the ball for teammates a la Didier and he is not a clinical finisher a la Eto or Falcao . The most important thing if falcao arrives is the departure of Drogba , anelka and kalou . And the arrival of 2 wingers.

Our current wingers all suck (Anelka - Malouda - Kalou - Zhirkov) , not one of them is an average winger , they are all below average wingers. For a big team which plays 4-3-3 , 2 pacy , creative wingers is a must , everyone was recalling the old days of robben , duff and j.cole last year. And that is why before the transfer window , it was pretty obvious that two young wingers will be our top priority , we lacked width , we lacked pace , creativity and any kind of trickery . I was hoping for certain two myself : Alexis Sanchez - Neymar. But now that they are both heading to spain , i would like to check the other options . IMO the only other wingers worth a go are the following : HulkEden HazardJuan MataAguero ( can be used there but won't be at his best )Who do you guys think should we go for to fill the winger spot ??

Well based on your earlier post , i got the idea that he is kinda like xavi or modric not mikel , that is why i said he will be welcomed . Essien is not at his best but for me he is still better than mikel . I would prefer a midfield trio of (Essien - Modric - Lamps) than (Mikel - Ramires - Snieder).

Based on those words , i think he can fit in next to lamps with essien behind them . IMO we need this kind of player in midfield more than a snieder esk-player . i know we lack creativity but i hope that will come from the wings . I hope our midfield signing will be modric if not then it should be this lad. Btw lamps is exactly what you call a final ball player an average of 20 goals and 15 assists every season are superb . i know he hasn't been himself last year but i can see him getting back to his best if played next to modric or moutinho. Also moutinho if he is as you described someone who keeps the ball ticking in midfield, always available for the pass, hardly loses possession. He's also very energetic though slow and weak , then he can do wonders with Josh Mceacheran in the future

Hopefully. But i think this will be determined upon whether roman and the board are willing to give AVB much more authority , including transfers and coaching staff or he is another "just a coach" . The departure of Malouda , Anelka , Kalou , Ferrera , Zhirkov and Drogba is highly recommended , we will get around 40 - 45 millions for them , will decrease the wages and more importantly will move a step closer towards changing our game play . Add another 55 millions to those 45 and use those 100 millions to get a decent playmaker (Modric / Pastore) , and 2 pacy tricky wingers (neymar / Sanchez / Hazard / Hulk / Mata)

What about moutinho ?? he looks like a decent midfielder

Hulk will be a great addition , he is a superb winger with lightening pace , superb technique , strong physique and one hell of a shot . I hope that our front-line will look like this Hazard/Sanchez/Neymar/Aguero - Torres - Hulk with benayoun - sturridge - de bruyne as subs . Anelka - Malouda - Kalou and Drogba should all just leave and lukaku is not needed at all .

Can't believe we are missing on him !!!! he should be out top priority , a perfect winger .

IF AVB is to come , then Hulk will be a great addition . he will have no hard time adapting to the EPL as he has a strong physique and a lightning pace .

The only player that we should have done all what we could to get and paid over the odds for him is joining barcelone and we were not even interested. Unfortunately there are no other decent wingers available right now and i will be very disappointed if we don't get a decent pacy winger this summer.

Unfortunately football clubs are not just about football any more , a big club has to have a huge fan-base then some big marketing plan and sponsorship deals which all depends on your popularity . With Jose Mourinho , we were a great team on the field , we had our best spell with him but even then he didn't win us many fans ..... after he was sacked and specially during the start of scolari's era and during ancelotti's days , i have seen a lot of people here in Egypt starting to like chelsea and then they are blue fans , they liked the 5-0 score lines , they liked our game-play . Mourinho now or may be even in the future will be the right man for chelsea as we have already established our selves as a big team but back then we needed to sack him to win more football lovers who hated the enemy of football ( btw i love the man but that's what he was called by many people back then ). Really ?? are we gonna discuss grant ?? i don't care if he signed 10 years , 3 years or 6 months contract because back then there was one thing i was 100% sure of and that was he would leave at the end of that year . and it wasn't just me everyone knew that grant was just a temporary solution after Jose's sacking . And about sacking wilkins , yes he didn't deserve the sack but unless you know the circumstances and reasons for the sack then you can't have a fair judgement .

Roman Abrahimovic is by all means a great man and a great owner as well , Let's discuss his so called mistakes : 1) The sacking of the special one : Here is the obvious what most of the people think , How can you sack the special one ?? a manager who got you 2 EPLs in 3 years ?? the man who made chelsea champions ?? Mourinho is without a doubt a great manager but back then Chelsea was a newly big team and needed to gain popularity and supporters and with mourinho it's almost guaranteed that would have never happened with the required rate as he was " the enemy of football " , may be he has changed a bit now but as much as i love the guy and he was the main reason i started supporting chelsea but i have to admit back then he was such a pain in the ass that we were gaining more haters than lovers . Another factor is his Football tactics , as mentioned before we needed more popularity and our game approach under Jose would never win you any fans , to be honest there was a lot of games under Jose that i who is a huge chelsea fan was bored watching the game , so how do you expect to win new fans . 2)The sacking of Avram grant : i don't even to discuss that but i will as he is one of the so called 7 sacked managers . Grant was here on a temporary basis and the agreement between him and the club was pretty clear that he would leave at the end of that season 3)The sacking of scolari : Another so called sacked manager Scolari deserved the sack , in fact he owned the sack he was a disaster and sacking him was the right thing to do other-wise we would have been humiliated back then just like the humiliation we had this season due to the lateness of carlo's sacking. 4)Hiddink : Another man who was here on temporary basis and left at the end of the season . 5)The sacking of ray wilkins : A great coach and assistant , carlo praised him and he was a great help for carlo this man in my opinion is the only one who didn't deserve the sack , but i don't know the circumstances or the reasons of the sacking . 6) the sacking of Ancelotti : he is a decent man , whom everyone loved and respected . he won the double in his 1st season and was the runner-up in 2nd one , how can you sack him ??and the team even played their best football under him scoring 103 goals 1st season the fact that we won the double means nothing to me because of the reasons and way we won it , if grant was still here he would ve won the double with the squad we had last year , the gap in squad strength and depth between us and our nearest challengers (man utd) was so big that we should have won that league 7 or 8 weeks before it's end , but even then we had to win the league by a difference of 1 point at the last game of the season .Only under Carlo Ancelotti chelsea became not a force to reckon in europe , even during our worst seasons before carlo ( 2007-2008 , 2008-2009 ) we were in the final and in the semis , yes we lost but we weren't humiliated or looked clueless as we looked with carlo against inter and man utd . in fact it's not just about UCL , before carlo ancelotti we could ve faced any team in the world even the great barca without feeling we are not equally favorites , we fans and players always looked pretty confident that whoever we faced we could win but with carlo it was more of the opposite as we have always felt we are not the favorites in any big game and that we could easily lose . Tactically very weak , can't motivate his players and get the best out of them , the team looks clueless under-him.In fact i think carlo should have been sacked in december and if that was to happen we would have been in wembley against barca one week ago . I don't get why does roman get all the blame for sacking those men , in fact i can only blame him for one thing and it's certainly not the sacking of those managers but it's the appointment of the likes of scolari and ancelotti . Although i am one of aguero's biggest fans , i will have to agree that i will be much more interested is Hamsik/pastore and More importantly Alexis Sanchez . But Aguero can still play as an inside winger if we get alexis sanchez / a decent winger

Sturridge shouldn't / won't get a starting position week in week out because he scored 8 goals for bolton !!! He deserves to have an upgrade , to get much more starts , at least 15 starts and 30 appearances in all compititions next season would be the right thing to go for , but again not starting XI material yet.

Anelka's got pace , anelka can dribble and cut inside but is he a good winger ?? NO !! Sturridge passing skills needs to improve a lot and his positioning as a winger is very poor defensively more than offensively , also my main problem is while he will always cut inside , nemar will do the same and both will be looking for the shot rather than the assist and we can't have that . the other problem is we all know that torres , Neymar and sturridge won't help defensively at all , in big games we can't afford to have 3 lazy players when we lose the ball who won't come back and help . a lot has been said about how to get el nino back , and that we need to have more passers around him who can provide him with the killer pass and neymar , sturridge are definitely not this guys . Another factor is we need more width , it has shown game after game that more width is a must and having two wingers who are strikers and who will always look to drift inside won't help it at all . we need a winger who can drift inside (neymar) and an out wide winger (sanchez - Hazard). Finally Sturridge is more than ready to start for bolton , he may be ready to start for astonvilla or liverpool . but starting for chelsea is much more different .... i would like to see sturridge integrated into the team the way ferguson integrated chircarito , using him mainly as a super-sub . then give him few starts if he proves he is ready to start for chelsea then start him. the problem with stuirridge last year was not that he wasn't starting , it's that he had players like kalou , malouda , shitty anelka and zhirkov ahead of him in the pecking order . this year he should be the 1st sub.

IF neymar comes then a front three of Neyma - Torres - Sturridge will not work . Sturridge is not a winger and those front three will have a terrible effect on the whole team as they don't provide the much needed width , they won't help defensively and you can't have 3 players out of 11 not helping out in defense and more importantly you can't have three forwards who are all very selfish and will always go for the personal glory rather than the killer pass. IMO whether Neymar comes or not , a winger should be a priority with alexis sanchez as the best option and if we can't get him then we should go for one of ( Navas - Hazard - Mata ). Sturrdige is still not a starting eleven material yet , he should be torres's understudy and the 1st substitute to come of the bench also can be used to rotate our front 3 but he shouldn't be in the starting XI .

Enough with the non-sense !!!! when it comes to chelsea's next manager no one seems to have a clue !!! IF hiddink is available we know he is roman's option no. 1 so i think we should all wait till 03 / 06 and see if hiddink will be here next season or not . if turkey wins and he decides to honor his contract with them , then we can start those speculations .

This must not be true or else all the talk about us signing playmakers and wingers to compliment torres's game is bullshit , if we sign this lad and keep Drogba then it's the end of torres and sturridge also we can wave neymar and aguero goodbye . Lukaku is no what we need and Drogba should leave as well ... Time to play with speed and trickery rather than strength and power .

Ridiculously Good , He is IMO the best SS in the world but since we don't play with two strikers he can comfortably play on both wings or as a CF If / When torres is injured. He has said it before he will fit in here like a hand in a glove , i can see him turning into quiet a big star and a fan favorite if he decides to wear blue next season. Between him , Alexis Sanchez and Neymar ... i will be the happiest man if we get 2 of them and although aguero and neymar look more realistic since we have been targeting them for a long time but Alexis Sanchez is Exactly the wide man we need .

Who should be our new coach ? Me , alongside with a lot of members here don't have a clue about those names !!! Boas record has been very impressive with porto but can he do the same with chelsea , Don't Know ! Hiddink had a great success with the club but will he be available and is he willing to get back to club management ! Mourinho is absolutely the one to lead a sinking ship but i think he is busy saving another sinking one , will he be back ! Van basten has not proved if he is a great coach or not yet , so for me he is a hit and miss ! Biesla same as van basten My point is may be i don't know who should be in charge next season , but one thing i am damn sure about is that Carlo Ancelotti was not the man to lead chelsea to glory not with his tactical non-sense , and his 33 , 35 years old players , he is a great man and quiet a decent guy but it takes a lot more to become a winning manager in the elite of world football clubs. ATM i am more worried about summer additions than our new manager , who ever comes in will need to add new , young , fresh players . 2 wingers is must and a play-maker is much needed .also a lot of players has to be sold/released .

Luiz will be a "world class" defender within next year , you'll see .... as soon as carlo fucks off a lot of players will be in a better shape and obviously carlo wasn't making david's life easy in the club .

Kalou , Anelka , Malouda and Zhirkov shouldn't be part of our plans next summer , they are all shitty wingers and i would trade them with nzogbia and rodallega of wigan in a the blink of an eye . I don't care how many goals he has scored as long as he sucks at doing his main task as a winger and that's beating opponents , be creative and make things happen , be useful and quick on the counter-attack and create scoring chances for our forwards . Unfortunately Kalou isn't creative at all , he can't make things happen , he doesn't have the ability to beat a defender and even his scoring abilities is not that great for me and between him , anelka , malouda and zhirkov i can't decide which one makes our play more slow and indirect. Before praising kalou , please make a list of the EPL teams that will have kalou in their starting line up and you will know that he is not even close to being a chelsea quality player . as out of 20 EPL teams he would make it only into 6 or 7 teams in my opinion and all of them are relegation teams btw .
