TBH i wasn't impressed at all with daniel yesterday , based on yesterday's game he was just slightly better than Kalouda and that is not good enough , he needs to improve his positional awareness as a winger and his passing game.

Playing against a very strong in form Man utd side at old-trafford with our current is hardly a happy time , there is only one man who can win us this match it's not mata or lamps or torres or drogba or terry or cech ... It's AVB !! we can't beat Man-utd whether in terms of players quality or current form , our only hope is a tactical stroke by AVB . He must close down spaces for man utd players pressuring them and making it as hard as we can for them, I would deploy a 5 man midfield of Mikel - Rami - Lamps - Miereles - Mata with torres infront of them , we should be extra cautios that we don't concede becuase it will be very hard to come back against them in old trafford and it will lead to us freeing more space for them to exploit . I would say keep things tight , and wait for a torres - mata moment of brilliance .

Very interesting selection from AVB with the front three and the midfield trio although Luiz should have been starting .

Even though Kakuta's talent was pretty obvious during 2009-2010 where he showed a lot of potential and was MOTM during almost all matches he played a part in. During 2010-2011 and since the end of Euro U-19 tournament Geal has been a huge disappointment , I don't know what his problem is but those two players the Kakuta pre and post the Euro tournament looks totally different to me , May be it's because carlo damaged his confidence with keeping him in the reserves after such promising cameos , may be he just needs some more game-time or may be he just lacks desire and ambition to make it to the top level. Anyway Kakuta now is in good hands and he has almost the perfect loan , so if he doesn't live up to the hype earning himself a place at Bolton and then a return to Chelsea as a first team player , then the CFC board and management are not the ones to blame. 2011-2012 IMO will define who Geal Kakuta is gonna be , and only Geal has to take responsibility for that .

Rijkard Mourinho Hiddink AVB Now AVB said hopefully we will make a signing , so we are linked with : Miereles Modric Perrera Moutinho Snieder If you really think Chelsea has been in talks with all of the above managers in may , then we are really chasing all those midfielders .... In May/June most of you believed we were either getting Hiddink or Van basten and now you think we are getting Perrera or Miereles , with all my due respect but you are fooled . This is all just fuckin speculation , our biggest two signings this summer (AVB - Mata) went through without being all over the news , while we have been linked with hiddink and it was claimed to be just a matter of when Gus will arrive at cobham during june but where is he now ?! The only player i think we are chasing is Luka Modric , we made an inquiry for Perrera but AVB thought he might be a good option to have but i am sure he wasn't even thinking about paying more than 15-18 millions for him , that's how i like to think about it . It's just today and tomorrow till the end of the transfer window, I think it's not a long time for me to just wait and see what will happen and when i have credible sources confirming that we signed Modric or Moutinho or Miereles , i will be happy or satisfied or dissappointed .

Well let's be frank , Both sides of this ongoing argument are wrong , neither Torres looks like he will ever be the same El-nino of 2006-2008 again , nor do we provide any kind of service to our forwards from midfield and as Tomo pointed out just give one look at Drogba , Anelka to know how bad the service is ! Last year i have watched a player topping the scoring charts of the EPL , he scored almost the same no. of goals as the top scorer but only in half a season !! imagine who that player is .... It's Berbatov :huh: , my point is any striker should be scoring at least tap ins and easy goals every now and then but again i remember someone posting that torres didn't recieve a pass in or around the 18 yards box against west brom. even the likes of Berbatov will be scoring week in week out if provided with the right service and playing in the right system , for god-sake even Kalou used to score a lot of goals during our peak with carlo (April , May , August 2010). Don't expect Torres to return suddenly to be the player he once was but i will still have him rather than Berba , Dzeko ,welbeck or even Drogba right now.

i think we will not see a happier environment in this place than the one on the day that Kalou leaves . In fact i am kinda more excited about this than Modric .

When it comes to signings we are hopeless I thought we were getting better after Mata's signing but it looks like we are moving back , if that is the case expect expensive purchases of utility players like Zhirkov , Belleti and more DMs like essien , ramires , romue , mikel we love those .

Bacelone's Midfield :Busquets - Xavi - Iniesta Real Madrid's : Xabi alonso - Khediera/Sahin - Ozil Man utd's : Carrcik/Giggs - Anderson/Cleverly Etc. Those are 3 examples of modern midfield structure , the role of destroyers has been minimized to the point that the best two midfields in the world (Barca - Spain) don't include any , most of successful teams right now are deploying creative ball playing midfielders , who can keep possession and retain the ball rather than losing it and winning it back . While the likes of Wilshire , Xavi , Modric , Iniesta can always make tackles , interceptions (of course to a lesser extent than the destroyers) . The likes of Yaya Toure , Song , Ramires , Mikel will never be able to retain possession a la Xavi , Iniesta , Modric . And here lies our problem , we have 3 destroyers or 4 including Romeu (if what's said about him is true) , only 1 Technical , Ball retaining player (McEacheran) and we have Lamps . Barca has 0 destroyers and 3 ball retaining players , Real has Khediera who can be considered as a destroyer and may be diara so 2 destroyers although they are very rarely used together and real were about to offload Diarra . Man utd has Fletcher only so one destroyer, Arsenal only use Song as a Destroyer ....etc. Conclusion: If we are looking to play attack-minded football we need to use only one out of Mikel/Essien/Ramires/Romue , Also Modric is very much needed and McEacheran should be used more but we not more than 17-20 starts / 27-30 appearances this season.

It's incredible what mata , silva and spanish players do , they pass , move , make themselves available and do on . that is why they are a great creative unit . Our problem is not Lampard , it's Ramires-Mikel in the same midfield , 2 shy players in footballing terms , 2 players who will not always make themselves there for the pass , and that makes Lampard struggle. You can see the improvement in frank's game once mata was introduced , The answer to our midfield is simple : Mikel/Essien/Rami Modric/Moutinho Lamps/Josh I would love to watch a full game of ramires playing the DM role of mikel , i think he will be a lot better than Obi as he is much better defensively and offensively , May be Mikel is more assured and is a better passer but Ramires's drive and pace will make up for that .

AVB was wrong , evolution is not enough we definitely need revolution .

this. But let's be frank , During pre-season Benayoun has proved that he can out-play almost all teams in Malaysia.

I have two little brothers , 3 days ago we forced the older one to give one of his toys to his younger brother , he spend two days crying and moaning but then he started telling people how he generously gave his younger brother his own toy. My point is don't expect benayoun to come out and say the club has forced/requested me to give my number to Mata , so all of this talk about how a great person benayoun is because he gave Mata the no.10 shirt doesn't make any-sense. And about the lampard - benayoun comparison , can you please tell me what has benayoun contributed to the team since joining ? IMO he didn't add anything yet , he didn't even help us win a match . This comparison is totally not fair to lamps , frank is not as good as before but he will always be miles ahead of benayoun .

Considering our current midfield options Lampard is guaranteed a place in the starting XI week in week out , i label all of our other options (essien - ramires - mikel - oriol) as defensive midfielders , i know essien and ramires can contribute offensively but most of their game is based on intercepions and tackles while lampard's game is mainly based on assists and goals. IMO you only need one defensive midfielder in your team , so even if we sign a creative midfielder i would keep lampard next to him .

Luiz is a CB , don't judge him by his worst LB performance ,

AVB looks like a smart man , this move is not going to happen .
