I didn't say all of those who think kalou is good are ignorant , those who are saying that just because they can't admit that a chelsea player is a piece of shit are the ignorant ones . But those who really thinks he is a good player (( i don't believe any sane person thinks kalou is good )) are not ignorant at all , they just need to watch more football and get more football knowledge to understand how a winger/striker should perform and compare that to kalou .

i don't get all the debate about salamon kalou !!!! He is without a doubt the worst forward in any big team i know of , he wouldn't make it in 17 teams out of 20 in the EPL , the lad is just too bad of a player . Any person who will say otherwise ( like any of the super-sub , goal to minute ratio stuff ) is either an ignorant person who just doesn't want to admit how poor one of Chelsae's players is OR he really doesn't know anything about football. We have to admit that we have some very poor players in our squad an as soon as they are replaced we will get better and No.1 on that list is Kalou .

You can say United were lucky during 2009-2010 that was the season where they actually were very lucky and overachieved , but last year they were miles ahead of us ... it was pretty clear during our 3 title deciders in the UCL and EPL . they with all my due respect outclassed us in those 3 games. In 2009-2010 failed in big games , and it exposed that against lower teams they were just lucky , but in 2010 - 2011 they had some impressive results against us , arsenal ,city , liverpool and tottenham . Our forward line is simply very bad , Malouda , Anelka , Kalou , Sturridge are below average wingers , Torres will not be back as long as he doesn't get enough service which won't come with those players and DD is now a SUB who can't win us the title on his own and even Lampard who has always been our savior and most consistent players is not the same anymore .... Defensively we are superb , but Offensively United , City ,Tottenham , Arsenal and even liverpool are better than us . what will give us the edge over arsenal and city is our experience and unity as a big team , but united are very experienced team and are a great unit as well . I know it's very hard to admit that Man Utd has outplayed us last year , and with those additions they are much more likely to end up with the title again (if we don't add some players).

Man city won't win fuck !!! They will remain an average team because they have an average manager , not a real threat , not yet. Man utd are hot favorites for me , specially if they manage to get Snieder . last year they outplayed the rest , they have improved ,added some very exciting players and we are the same old squad . Our key to winning the league is signing a very good winger , Modric will be a good addition to our midfield but top priority should be a winger right now , will be very disappointed to have another year of Anelka,Kalou and Malouda ,

that is normal , Marin and gotze should cost around 18-20 millions if not more , they are bright talents with great future , so to lure them away from their clubs you have to pay a lot of money , but with this kind of Matured young talent , the outcome is guaranteed.

even the worst scouts must be ableto find some names , and btw you don't need a scout to tell you the potential of the likes of Marko Marin or Gotze .

Well , I think i need to come to the announcements and feed-back section more often , it wasn't very pleasing to find out that i was one of the nominees to member of the month of June ....In August Anyways hats-off to kostas, it was fully deserved :tophat:.

you don't think Gotze is good enough ?! This 18 years old lad will be a world-class player in the near future, he has the same potential as Wilshire and he has more experience than Mceacheran already . He has good speed at his feet , very creative and he has some outstanding technical skills,he is a natural central playmaker . He is not just one for the future as he has already proved he is top class.

O.K. we missed on a few stars , well on many stars to be frank ..... we missed on Sahin , Aguero , Pastore , Sanchez , and Most likely Neymar and Modric (hope i didn't forget anyone) Some must be really angry and disappointed with our transfer activity so far but i still think that if AVB wasn't lying , If he was really assessing the current squad before going into the market then finding the right talent won't be a problem . We obviously need a creative midfielder and at least 1 winger , i think that world-wide across the 7 continents there must be some young quality midfielders and wingers and as a top team with supposedly top scouts we should easily find some when needed . In fact i have some leads myself , for the creative midfielder there are Marko Marin - Mario Gotze - Marvin Martin as the top 3 prospects if we can't get Modric. and for the winger there are Hazard - Mata - Hulk - Jesus Navas , and i am sure any decent scout in south america will be able to recommend some great prospects in the wingers department . So my point is this misconception of us not going into the market because of lack of right talent is not true , IF AVB wants to improve on some areas he will be able to , there is only 15 days remaining and we need to act fast but i can't see how will AVB a man known for liking his wingers to be proper wingers will start his 1st season with Chelsea with Malouda , Kalou , Anelka and Sturridge as his "proper" wingers. I guess in 2 or 3 days after AVB has his meeting with Gourlay we will be linked with every half decent player . I am sure most of the members in here can come up with at least 1 creative midfielder and 2 decent wingers that we can still sign .

And that is exactly why i think 40+ millions are too much for him, for only 35 millions you can get a young world-class player who has already matured and still has lots of years ahead of him like Cesc or Luka . Again he is a very good prospect and can be a very good addition but he is definitely not worth 40+ millions.

Now we have an agreement , although i insist that 40+ millions is way too much for him.

I do not hate pastore at all , he is a great prospect who has the potential to be a world-class players but my problems with pastore are : 1- What we need is a passer, a play-maker , a Xavi kind of player who doesn't need too much time on the ball , who will always be looking to pass to a team-mate rather than shoot or try to get past his man . 2- For supposedly one of the best play-makers on earth and the most expensive one compared to snieder , modric and even faberegas , His passing game isn't really that good for a player of that caliber you shouldn't be misplace that kind of easy passes . 3- Pastore likes to dribble and sometimes takes too much time on the ball and normally that sometimes ends-up losing possession so if we are going to try to play the possession game he will not be a great help. 4- Pastore is more suited to counter-attacking teams who will be looking to give him the ball to start the counter attack where he will either try to use his pace and trickery to get to the opponents goal or he will get past his marker and assist his striker. 5-My biggest issue with pastore is , i don't believe he is better than any of Snieder , Fabergas , Modric who are all world-class play makers and there is no big difference in age between him faberagas and modric . therefore i can't see why should we pay 40+ millions for him while those cost 35 millions . I value him at 30 millions max. even at the current prices I am not saying he won't be a good addition but my concerns are , Is he really the best addition we can get in that area ?? Will those 40+ millions be best spent on pastore rather than some other player(s) ?

The two facts i am pointing at : Javier Pastore is not a passer , he is a midfielder who can dribble and score but don' expect assists or neat and weighted passes from him .Pastore is not worth 30-40 millions as that is the worth of snieder and modric who are much better playmakers .I know you all would like to think that Pastore is a superb player and the best playmaker around but he is not . i have always said that and i have always preferred modric to him

Well-said , but for a play-maker whose "few touches are heavy and a few passes go ashtray" don't you think he shouldn't cost the same if not more than world-class play-makers ( Snieder - Modric) . and don't get into because he is young and has potential because that means he is more of a risk than those 2 who have already fulfilled their potential and are still young as well . This man is definitely not what we need , he likes to run with the ball or shoot more than passing and as you have just said he is always looking for the killer pass even if it means he will lose possession but what we need is a Xavi , a pace dictator who knows how to distribute the ball . I would pay 50 millions for modric and not 25 for this young lad .

Unfortunately i was not able to watch the lads in any game since AVB came in . but it looks like i haven't been missing much. TBH i am extremely happy with the scores and feed back i received about the games , AVB said he will evaluate the team based on the pre-season and hopefully soon enough he will know that we have the best defensive unit in the whole world and the worst forwards of any so-called big team and by that i can include the likes of Milan , Man city , Inter , Tottenham and liverpool . And soon enough the likes of Anelka , Malouda , Kalou and Zhirkov will be shown the exit door . and replaced by better creative players .

I get what you meant , you think Mikel is not just overrated , he is a bad player but i disagree . I have pointed out to some of his weaknesses but i still think he is a decent player .

No , It's not ... Mikel is a very good player but not as good as Makelele or Essien (DM) or Busquets or Yaya toure when played as DM in barca . Again Mikel's passing skills is very good and there is no doubt he can cope with pressure , the man can shield the ball against 2 or 3 opponents alone . He is a great help when the defenders pump forward as he is very disciplined , he will stay back and cove for them . But he has 2 very big problems : He has no drive or pace at all , and he has to be more aggressive. that is why his defending at times is very poor as he can't cope with pace tricky players , that is why players like tevez , rooney always win personal battles against him.His distribution is actually very poor , even though his passes are neat and good but he doesn't know how to control the tempo , when to pass quickly , how to start a counter attack , etc............... that's actually because he needs too much time on the ball.I am not saying that he is a bad player that i want out of the team but he is just a good option to have as a back-up to first choice DM .

Mikel is a Decent DM , But he is way overrated in here .
