  1. RVP to United is actually a great deal. First, Arsenal lost him and even though they brought a replacement, I feel that is a final nail in the coffin for their morale. They lost their captain, icon and someone who carried them through the last season. On the other hand, if he works out at United they will slow down City and stop them from growing and as TX said, degrade Mourinho's work. If he doesn't work out or gets injured, then they have just thrown 20+ million for a 29 year old player. All in all, I'm glad he left Arsenal, there is not enough place for all of us in the top 4 of England.
  2. So now you are talking about closing a thread for our number 1 attacking target while there is still half a month left until the transfer window is closed? Y SO SERIOUS? Because I respect what they do and the football they play. I don't call them a fucking piece of shit because they won't sell a player to the team I support. Attitude like that sends an ugly picture of our fans towards the world.
  3. I hope so too, but I'm going by the logic that he has 4 years on his contract, regular CL gametime and a big place in Porto's 11.
  4. So you call a team that doesn't have to sell their best player with 4 years on left on his contract a fucking piece of shit? Fair enough.
  5. First, I haven't said how much I believe Hulk is worth. Second, I didn't say I don't believe what media report, but names and things like Hulk, Chelsea, Porto, 60million, massive rebuilding is what sells the newspapers and trust me, they write lots and lots of shit. I only follow it time from time to see what's going on and really look at it really deeply once the transfer is done. I really have much more smarter things to do then eat what media craps day and day out. Wigan is a team battling to survive relegation in PL and they will archive their goal probably without Moses. They'll pay for few millions for someone to replace him and survive like they always do. Moses is not someone who has big marketing value, European experience and isn't on the peak of his career. Van Persie is 29 years old with 1 year on his contract and with an awful injury record. He only has 1 brilliant season behind him. And just for the record, lots of times after a season like that, players struggle to have another one like that in the coming year though I wouldn't be surpised if RVP did it because of the quality at Manu and Ferguson. I've written this already in Hulk thread and I'll do it again, Hulk is a very complete player that offers a lot to a team. Speed, danger from wings, shots from distance, free kicks, penalties. He is a strong lad and he also has great marketing value. Not only all that, but he has just reached the peak of his career. He would have his best years here and we could still sell him for something nice when the time comes. Don't forget that he still has 4 years left on his contract. Even if 60million is true, If you really believe that Porto expect someone to pay that kind of money for Hulk then you are naive. Nobody would pay that except Anzhi which is where I doubt Hulk would go. As I said, he is a player at the peak of his game with 4 years left on his contract. They are Champions of Portugal and are playing Champions League season and season out. They really don't have to sell.
  6. Really? Is he up on ebay with that price slapped as the minimum to buy him? It's all just speculation and you know how media likes to blow things out of proportion. It's better for transfer to drag on a bit rather then let Porto make us a new arsehole with his price... And what's with the hate for Porto? He is their best player and they want to squeze as much money as possible from his transfer. They don't have a rich owner and don't make as much money from CL as we do. I'm not trying to defend them, but simply hating them because they won't sell us their best player just like that is ridiculous. I would've been 2 times bigger bastard if I was a chairman of Porto but I would have a soft sport for Chels though
  7. Exactly why I'm saying it's not really fair to make these serious comparisons and have massive discussions... I disagree. There are much more specialized coaches and training schedules are tougher and more intensive due to modern science which has moved the physical boundaries up. Yes, in the past technical ability was more noticeable due to the fact that players haven't been so fit and on high physical level. Sure...you can take comparisons of Maradona...Pele...they are among football gods and are something really special, but they are unique and rare.
  8. Why surprised? Of course it's alive when there's still a chance we can sign him.
  9. What I really like about him is not great saves he makes, but how mature his game is. He is really calm and players seemed to have full trust in him. In a year or two he should have no problems with England, except 1st season until he gets used to the atmosphere, new life and physical side.
  10. Nope, AVB knew it. His mistake was that it contained Bosingwa, Torres and Meireles
  11. I won't drag myself into discussion about players I've never watched playe live and Ronaldo, but if Cristiano had a bit more of Messi's brain, he would certainly be one of the best ever in the game. While his spectacular gamestyle is nice to watch, lots of times he pointlessly loses the ball or overhits crosses and shots. Mindbuggling feints are also something I don't like... Level of football is much more higher then it was in the past. Grass is different, ball is different, there is more pressure and players are much more physically better so it's not really fair to compare some players from older generation with Ronaldo. I'm pretty sure if Ronaldo went back in the past in this shape that he would cause much more havoc then he is doing now.
  12. 248 pages of discussion, yet 230 are about his price
  13. Why so surprised with our lack of activity? There were Olympic games on and besides it's obvious the club wanted to see how would our current squad fare in the pre-season and against Man City. From what we've seen it's plain obvious that we need more players otherwise we are not in for a glorious season. Have some patience
  14. Haha Jose is one hell of a man, always gets me that
  15. 23.5!? Ahahahaahah suck on it Spurs, you could've had 30 mil and a world class centre back
  16. You should've banged those bastards!
  17. Relax, we'll win the CL again and fuck Spurs over
  18. I would. Brilliant player and great Drogba replacement. For a good fee he could turn out into a beast here. That said, he wouldn't be my 1st choice. He is a awesome guy also, like all guys from Balkan
  19. Aliu Kaby Djalo is about to have a trial at Red Star
  20. A bit less then 3 hours left until the competition is closed for your subs. Anything posted after 00:00 GMT will not get accepted.
  21. Shame mate, but there are some things in life that come before an internet forum and I can understand it. All the best in your life, you've been a great addition to this forum
  22. Yes, just post the updated ones in the thread and I'll replace 'em
  23. Well it was about bloody time, our past website looked like an amateur designed it...there are still things I don't like, but it's much better indeed.
