Herrera would definitely start in midfield. If Gundogan is coming to United Di Maria would start only from the wings, LVG doesnt like players who loses the ball in central midfield. Herrera - Gundogan Carrick Thats what LVG wants imo and i can see why, he wants possession and this trio will give him possession. The wingers will be Depay/Mata/Young/Di Maria (if he stays). I can see Mata spending a lot of his time on the bench if thats the real case. With Gundogan and Herrera the need of Mata from the wing is a lot smaller.

About Koke+Pogba, what can we do with both of them here? that means Matic-Pogba-Cesc-Koke, we're not changing formation probably so why would we get both? its an absurd dream. Koke/Pogba+Isco sounds better, because Isco could still excel even if playing on the wing, but its also just a dream for now. What i do know, is that since Gundogan is probably heading to United im even more obsessed about us getting a new top midfielder.

They wont bring Bale and Depay unless they're selling Di Maria, and right now they're really in to Depay. And if Bale leaves Real (when Perez doesnt want according to reports) it probably means Real get Reus.

United are going to come out of this transfer window with Gundogan, Depay, probably Clyne and probably Hummels. It means we cannot stand still, but im sure we wont. Top quality players should come.

If that will be the case, Mou shouldnt get Isco. Imo we have to get a AM/CM who would play next to Matic and Cesc in midfield in the big games too. Elite teams keep playing the regular line up every game, you can change the tactics, but imo the best team needs to be the same in games against Hull and in games against Bayern. If not, thats Oscar/Ramires all over again, Oscar for Hull and Ramires for Bayern. And personnaly i dont want Ramires or Kondogbia or Imblua or Schniderlin in our midfield in the big games, i want the third CM to be brilliant on the ball, and quick thinking - Koke, Pogba, Gundogan. Thats why i have questions about Isco, If we get Koke or Pogba i know Mou could and probably would play them next to Matic-Cesc in every game because of their physics (Pogba) and work rate (Koke), im not so sure he'll do that with Isco. Pogba/Koke+Isco would probably be perfect, Isco could play in the RW spot. Its not his best position, but he's too good to give up on. Btw, when you look at the 3 clubs who get to the semi-finals every year - Barcelona, Bayern and Real Madrid, the fact is that none of those teams needs to worry about FFP. Man United the same. The question is, how could we compete with those clubs in the long term? i mean right now we run a policy of sell one-buy one, but in the end our squad should be "complete", stable, and than the players will suffer from aging, and by than we wouldnt be able to sell those players for big money.. so ok maybe we could do another overhaul next time after Hazard-Cesc-Costa-Matic-Courtois team is aging, but what about the next-next time and the one after that? how can we keep competing with those 4 clubs when their income is a lot bigger? The club probably have a plan, is the plan is to slowely become a club with the same income as Barcelona and Man United?

Why "or"? off course the reason they are the best is because of their players. I didnt say its not the reason. We could've done better this season against PSG, no question about that, and we could've given a much better fight to Barca than PSG. But, to be there every year, to put ourselves right next Barca, Real and Bayern in terms of squad I think we have to bring a few more clinical signings like Mourinho said last summer. Right now our first 11 contains Oscar/Ramires in central midfield and Cahill in CB, for me they arent good enough. Barca, Real and Bayern dont have those kind of players in their line up. Which players i would look at? first of all a CM - Koke, Pogba, Gundogan. Than a CB - doesnt have to be a well known superstar, and than maybe another AM - Fekir, Reus.

I dont think Koke is Scholes tbh, different players. Scholes was a pure playmaker, i dont see Koke as a playmaker. I agree with Gilvorak about Koke not a typical 60m euro player, but i do think he's a top player who could play even in the best teams in Europe. I think he could've started games in Bayern and Barcelona and you wouldn't see any difference in quality between him and Rakitic or Schweinsteiger. Koke wouldnt do alot of special things, but he would try to make the team to work better. The right passes, the right movement, the right thinking. He's a true soldier. When we have Cesc and Hazard who brings the creativity and decisiveness, i think Koke would be enough to make our central midfield, our link up play and our team a lot better. Thats why i would still pay the 60m euros, cause he would help us so much imo. Oh, and Supporter, in your analogy Beckham is Thiago? thats crazy, Thiago reminds Scholes a lot more than Koke. And Thiago is so much more than just show. You can like Koke as much as you want, but do not underrate other players just to get your points across. Again with this "not played 100 league games", yeah lets just ignore all the facts that lead to that - injury for a year, playing the same team as Iniesta, Xabi and Cesc when he's 20-22. Lets ignore all that. Thats just rubbish and i would'nt expect that from you.

Europe's Top 3 showed again its level above everyone else. In the last 4 seasons, Bayern and Real with 4 semi finals, Barcelona with 3. Only Chelsea (twice), Atletico, Dortmund and Juvenus got into the semi finals in those seasons. Those 3 teams set the bar very high, Chelsea is one of the few clubs who should realistically hope to reach this bar and also stay there, along with PSG, United and City. For Atletico and Juventus it will be harder but maybe possible. Objectively, i think we are in the best situation out of all of those teams. We have the manager, the winning mentality and the squad that needs a few more players to be more complete. For now, i think Bayern and Barcelona are the best, Real are just slightly behind imo even with full squad.

Willian is way better technically than Salah, Salah is a donkey in tight spaces, he's better then Willian in dribbling and getting past defenders with his pace, doesn't mean he is good with the ball, Ramires is a good dribbler too.Thiago didn't had the chance to do more than Koke, he couldn't get minutes in Barcelona (Xavi, Iniesta, Cesc) and than after he showed how good he is in Bayern the injury came. We'll agree to disagree I guess, I don't realy like this discussion because Thiago will never be our player...Koke could be.

IF we sign Koke, you should stop trying to compare between him and Thiago, it's not fair and you will just be dissapointed. It's like the fans who wants Hazard to be as good as Messi and because he's not they always expect more from him.

Wow that is so harsh. Thiago had a serious injury on the knee, but it was one injury that got a bit complicated, thats why he came back only after a year. I really think most of the people who talk about Thiago here seen him only once or twice, at best. When people in this forum havent seen a player play, they'll automatically say he isnt all that...try to keep an open mind.

If we sign Koke we wont sign Thiago, its obvious. But if Thiago for some reason wants a move from Bayern (which i dont believe) not going for him when we're looking for a CM would be the stupidest thing we ever did. People who say things like "short sighted signing" and "he hasnt played 100 games" clearly havent seen enough of him. Most Barelona fans say he's the biggest talent they had since Messi. Imo he's already better than Modric, just need to get some more games so i could say it without any doubts, but definitely more talented for me.
