Yeah, we share the same view. But I have problems over Terry's performances... Even when he plays badly, I think he brings to the team something that nobody else could do. I mean, he has a grat leadership, plus he is ready to put his body on the welfare-line to stop the opponent. And to my eyes this is something important, especially in big games. Thus my concern is, will a pair Alex - Luiz be as good as a pair Terry - Alex/Luiz with a Terry in off-form ? I don't know. Hence I'd like us to experiment Alex - Luiz in one game to see whether it works or not. Agreed. Because as I stated above, Terry has a great leadership. And I think a Terry off-form brings more to the team than a Lampard off-form. 1 - Well, it was the same thing than last year, more or less... It still lacked of creativity. Though, Mikel and especially Ramires pplayed very good. 2 - To sum up his performance, I think we could say : he seems to have get back his confident. He didn't seem like a new-born baby as he could have looked last year. He was lively, one of our best players.

1°) To be honest, I'm not unhappy Lampard has started instead of Josh. Indeed, I didn't want a bastard like Shawcross to injure him. 2°) Yeah ! I found him quite poor compared to his standard. As you pointed out, against players more pacy, for instance as United's strikers/wingers he could have trouble... That may sound crazy, but could we think to bench him ? At least, I would like to try a Luiz - Alex pair in one game... Though I hope it was just an off day.

This is an interesting stuff. That actually underlines two things : We should get rid of him asap, 'cause a player of his 'quality' (yeah I know, the words 'Kalou'+'quality' in the same sentence sounds wrong) shouldn't ever earn a wage of £60k a week. They are : - McEachran, just only 18 year-old. - Kakuta, 20 years-old. - Benayoun, 31 years-old and he is far to be a world class player. The first two aren't ready to be part of the starting eleven week in week out while the third doesn't have the level to do so.

Yes, of course. But sometime you have to 'create your own luck'. I mean, if Young wouldn't have shot/crossed, if he wouldn't beat his defender, this lucky goal wouldn't have happened. The key words in Style's sentance are "to make things happen". United have players who have to ablity to creat things. that's why they get things such as own goal. On the other hand, we don't have player with creativity (except some of our youngster, ie McEachran and Kakuta), hence we aren't as lucky as United. I mean, if Kalou would shot during the game instead of loosing the ball, maybe we could have grabed an own goal.

Agree with you. I've raised the same point in the english football thread. If we had quality players able to cross/pass/shot/dribble, then similar things would happen to us.
