  1. Well, you could also say that he f*cked it up by introducing ESR in the first place, instead of Nelson. Also, if we had the luck that Arsenal had lately, we would not be in such a bad position at this point. Very lucky against Manchester United, Aston Villa, Bournemouth and others. We had a ton of bad luck against Dortmund, West Ham, even Spurs. It is what it is, this is football. But things will start going our way once again. I have a feeling that we will defeat Arsenal on their ground and send the title to City. On a side note, what I liked about Potter yesterday is that he did everything for the win. The change of system, the first 11, the subs. Should've done this way earlier, if you ask me. I understand that everyone wants Chelsea to be a 4-3-3 or whatever team, but the situation is as bad as it can possibly get. Go back to what we know best. Same should be done against Dortmund on Tuesday. Chilwell looked great again and I am sure Reece will cook, should we play a back 3 again. Personally, I am starting to build a bit of confidence. If we manage to get through against Dortmund, this season can still be saved. And I am not talking about winning the UCL, as I find it impossible. I am talking about creating a good atmosphere around the team, scoring some goals, beating the opponents that we should beat and not allowing Arsenal to win the league (lol).
  2. Current cycle of supporting Chelsea: Fan gets excited that the next match is only one or two days away -> Chelsea play & lose -> Fan gets frustrated and angry at the manager -> Fan finds out that the board has decided to keep Potter on the job -> A few days of silence or media rumours and stupid conversations about Enrique and other underwhelming names -> Fan gets exicited that the next match is only one or two days away -> .... So here I am, excited and ready to watch the mighty Blues. Will the cycle be broken tomorrow? On a side note, considering that there's a huge chance we will only play once a week next season, I just want to mention that it gets really, really frustrating when there's a bad run of form. Having to wait for so long to watch the team again after a loss is very difficult. During this past week, I couldn't wait for another chance to make things right. Please, Chelsea, just win tomorrow. Please, please, please!
  3. The lack of options is just as worrying as the prospect of us not winning the next two games. Utter chaos.
  4. The only realistic objective that we have for the rest of the season is to not get relegated. As crazy as that sounds, I honestly feel a bit scared. We are not favourites to win against anyone in the league at this point. If you think otherwise, remember the game against Southampton. Also, based on the reports coming out in the media, it seems that some of the players are 100% to leave in the summer. The likes of Ziyech, Azpi, Chalobah, Aubameyang, Pulisic will probably be on their way. So why play them? I mean, I'm ok with Azpi as I am sure that he would do anything for this club. Maybe Trev is ok to be played too. But the others shouldn't be even near to the starting 11. This is where I cannot understand what Potter's trying to do. Show some balls and be consistent with your decision making, this is your responsibility! Axe all of those who won't be here come August. On the other hand, I have this weird feeling that he will get sacked and then the info will come out in the media: the board forced him to play specific players so their market value doesn't decrease. That wouldn't surprise me at all and it would be a very very worrying sign for us as a club.
  5. It can be a huge factor. Look at what the mood was around the Arsenal camp after they trashed us 4-0, compared to what Tuchel was saying about our squad. The pre-season sets the tone for how your season goes. Everytime we had a bad pre-season we went on to have bad seasons. Every single time! Besides that, pre-season is the time when players work on their fitness. After such a difficult last season, with more than 60 games that were played, if I remember correctly, we needed a strong training period. Yet, we went on to change timezones and spend hours travelling on almost a daily basis. This is based on Tuchel's complains. Maybe this can explain why so many of our players got injured so early in the season.
  6. I think what the players said to Potter about the pre-season is 100% spot on. As always, the media and social media "fans" made it sound like it's about Tuchel, but it was not. I am not even sure if there is anyone to blame for it, let alone Tuchel. Sanctions were lifted around May, there was so little time for adjustments. Other clubs made a lot of moves between March and May, when our club was not even able to move a finger! The new owners arrived in May and they had a lot to figure out in terms of who to fire, who to hire, what players to sign etc. Everything was a mess about pre-season, everything had to be done on fast forward. A lot of important players left the club (Christensen, Rudiger, Alonso, Werner, even Lukaku), not enough players came in etc. A lot of people seem to have forgotten how much Tuchel was complaining about things during the summer. "We have the same problems, because we have the same players", "So we had an urgent appeal for quality players, a huge amount of quality players. We got two quality players but we are not competitive like this. Unfortunately you could see it today". Mind you, this was only two weeks before the season started: "I cannot guarantee we will be ready in two weeks". So yeah, it was a mess, and then reality hit us. Tuchel was fired, Potter was brought in and he inherited that mess. Then winter came and we finally bought that "huge amout of quality players" that TT was asking for. And now Potter has to make it work. Without a pre-season, with a huge injury crisis and with a lot of bad luck too. There are a lot of circumstances around our bad form and I am 100% sure that should Tuchel have stayed, things wouldn't go much better. Maybe we would still be a top 6 or top 8 team, but nothing more than that. And the same people asking for Potter's head now would be asking for Tuchel's. Another fact that people forgot is that there were already fans asking for Tuchel to go after the Southampton or Leeds defeats, for example. The reason why some fans are so surprised about what's happening is because nothing like this has never happened before in football, let alone at Chelsea. There was no takeover in the history of football that was made without a plan. This was an exceptional situation. Everything since March 2022 has been crazy and the results are just the consequence of everything that's been going on around the club. Potter needs to do better, but he is the least of our problems and I am sure that he is also part of the solution to at least improve and stabilize things. I am not sure that he will be able to take us back to winning titles, but I think he has the ability to build a foundation that a better manager can use for that.
  7. Remember when we used to despise international breaks? Nowadays it seems that they all can not come soon enough for Chelsea. What makes things worse is that we will basically have all of our players in Qatar for the World Cup.
  8. I did not say we are getting top 4 or the UCL. I am just saying that these objectives are still on the cards and the manager will not be sacked since nothing has been decided yet. I do not konw if letting Lampard continue is the smartest decision, I am just saying that I do not think that he will get sacked.
  9. Thinking that Lampard is going to get the sack after this is ridiculous. That will never happen. If it had not happened to Solskjaer or Arteta, it will never happen to Frank. Top 4 is still doable, UCL is on, FA Cup is on. It is frustranting and unacceptable for the team to play like this, it is just beyond awful and unexplainable. But Lampard getting the sack is just not plausible in my opinion.
  10. Disgusting stuff. No ideas on the attack whatsoever. What a total mess.
  11. We should enjoy his last months here. Maybe he'll leave after winning Europa League.
  12. Keep Sarri. Changing the whole identity of a club takes time and involves bad moments like this one.
  13. Good luck and thanks for that wonderful season under Conte.
  14. We need instant impact from him. No more patience, no more adapting time. Too many strikers have flopped here, we cannot afford wasting time on another one. Good luck, Pipita!
  15. Hi guys! First of all, I want to apologize if starting this topic is not ok. If needed, please remove it. Just wanted to ask you guys for some help regarding the Chelsea - West Ham game, that is set to be played on the 6th of April. I will be in London for the Drake concert on the 5th and I wanted to go to a Chelsea game for the first time in my life, but I have no idea how to handle the ticket situation. When and where should I start looking for tickets? How much should I expect one to cost? I will probably go for the cheaper options. Do you have any advice for me? Any information would be helpful. Many thanks! EDIT: found on the CFC website that the tickets will go on sale 42 days before the game. But if you have any kind of info regarding the price that I should expect, it would be very helpful. Thanks!
  16. So he wants the move to go through. If that's his wish, can't force him into staying, but it's a shame that we didn't move quicker. As always.
  17. Mou has to go to a Inter / Milan type of club and take them to another level, just to prove that he's still got it and to mantain his legacy. At this point, he risks to go down in history as a clown, not as a great manager.
  18. I'm all pro free speech and people's rights of expressing their opinions, but aren't some of our fans pretentious as shit... How much do you people remember of August 2018? I think not that much. Well, that's when this team last lost a football match. 5th of August. We all marched through most of August, September, October and now November with our chest pumped and our balls hard. And yet some of us think that they know better than the man in charge during this time. Lol.
  19. Had a bad game, he's not a starter anymore, he's past his prime, BUT I feel like a lot of people don't show the respect that this guy deserves.
  20. No need for drama, this is not an important game.
  21. Hell yeah brother, cheers from Iraq! 😁 Ross keeps getting better. Proper Chels #8.
