  1. I feel bad for Kante. He is doing everything, he is everywhere, but the attackers seem to be fighting against him.
  2. He is absolutely unbelievable, in the worst possible way. I am sick of this.
  3. Pathetic finishing. These players in our attack are so spoiled, I cannot believe it. I hate it when people talk about creating spaces, making runs etc. A good attacker has to score goals and offer assists. No one remembers Costa, Hazard, Pedro or Willian for the spaces that they created. Just put the f*cking ball in the back of the net. If you are not capable of that, piss off. This is why Havertz and Felix should leave come summer.
  4. I doubt there wasn’t already a plan made for tonight, before the Villa game. There is no way Bruno made this team yesterday or today.
  5. I wonder if there is any truth in this.
  6. Well, if we had Lewandowski, I bet people wouldn't have asked for Potter to be sacked either.
  7. I would assume that "the more experienced option" is Enrique, in which case I find this ridiculous. I would rather have Nagelsmann, even if both of the options are wrong, imo.
  8. I was about to say that Pochettino showed big weaknesses at PSG too, but PSG is basically a richer Tottenham so yeah...
  9. The fact that he left out every player from Real Madrid didn't really help either.
  10. Di Matteo managed to win that too and then his career fell off to the point of becoming non-existent. Different circumstances, but it is not the ultimate reason why one is a good manager. It's been 8 years since Enrique won the UCL. What has he done since? Nothing. OK, then what has he achieved since leaving Barcelona almost 6 years ago?
  11. Why? I am seriously trying to find a reason why Enrique is a good option. If what he's done at Barcelona is a reason, then why not add Ernesto Valverde into the mix as well? I could even argue that Valverde managed to win the league and Spanish cup with a much worse team than what Enrique had at his disposal.
  12. @Reddish-Blue- Conte didn't change Spurs' status, but they were 9th when he took over (6 points behind the 4th place) and the mood around their camp was dreadful. He did good taking them into the UCL, ahead of Arsenal. It ended sour, but it wasn't that much of a failure.
  13. Cannot compare Conte to Enrique. Conte has been constantly good since he took over at Juve. Completely changed the face of the Italian NT, made Juve great, won the league with Inter, took Spurs into the top 4 and, more importantly, won the Premier League with Chelsea. He's been successful in many different circustances and the only blockbuster meltdown that he had happened at a club where everyone seems destined to fail. Don't get me wrong, I do not want Conte as he has a lot of weaknesses (not good in Europe, ready to explode at any time + his second season here), but I would find his appointment way easier to digest than Enrique's.
  14. My head is hurting while seeing this. It's been 6 years since he left Barcelona. A lot of clubs changed their managers during that period and not one has considered him as a serious option. Not PSG, not Barcelona, not the Serie A teams, not even Spurs. In the meantime, he was the manager of the worst Spanish NT that I can remember watching. I honestly cannot understand what makes him a candidate for the job.
  15. They are paid hundreds of thousands of pounds per week to act professional and respectful, not to mock people because of their names. Yet, I couldn't expect less from so-called "professionals" who are just uneducated and immature brats, after all.
  16. ^They did reasonably, but compared to the initial expectations, they both failed at Chelsea. If Mudryk follows the same trajectory, he cannot be considered anything but a flop, imo.
  17. Just like any other team that Enrique has managed, except for MSN's Barcelona. He was Barcelona's version of Zinedine Zidane during that era. A manager that was just the right fit for a unique group of players. But when it came to building something on his own, he failed miserably. At least Zidane never had the chance to do that, so it's still a mistery if he can do it. People like to romanticize that Barcelona comeback against PSG, when Enrique was managing them, but remember that they lost 4-0 in the 1st leg! Also, the comeback was more of a miracle than some sort of tactical masterclass. I don't like Enrique and I would rather have Conte back than him managing Chelsea.
  18. Yeah, just like Havertz and Werner were supposed to be ballin under Tuchel. It's too early to judge, but with some players you just feel that they don't have what it takes to become elite. I know that people like to talk about Mudryk's work ethic, but I just cannot see it in him. He seems way too shy to succeed. It's gonna be impossible for him to build up confidence, with the attitude that he has on the pitch. My prediction is that he will flop. Just like with Potter, the board made a horrible mistake by signing him.
  19. What really bothers me is that there is no obvious solution. Every single manager considered for the position has major flaws. There are some of them that would've been perfect in the Abramovich era (Enrique, Pochettino, Spaletti), but I cannot see them being a good fit now. And it's all because of the mistake that the Potter project was. I won't be a hypocrite and say that I didn't want Potter as soon as I heard Tuchel was gone. I did. But it was not my responsability to know better. It was the board's. They messed it up and now we look like clowns. It's pure and unprecedented chaos. It's impossible to say, in this situation, that a certain manager is the perfect fit for us. There is too much of a mess to be fixed. Anyone that is chosen will come with a huge risk. Not to mention the pressure that will be put on the new manager and on the board. Very, very difficult task. To be 100% honest, if I was a manager, I would accept to start working for Chelsea officially, only once this season is over. In the meantime, start planning, decide who's gone in the summer, who your targets are and so on.
  20. Sure, but I cannot think of an option that doesn't involve a risk. I would argue that Nagelsmann is even more of a risk, considering his very recent past + his age. I am not saying that we should go for an old guy (Amorim is 38 btw), but I find it hard to believe that a guy like Nagelsmann can impose himself in a locker room in which you can find Thiago Silva, Kante, Azpilicueta etc. I know this shouldn't be a thing, but you just know that as soon as things get a bit bad, players lose respect for a manager that is so young. You just need a bit of experience and attitude to succeed at Chelsea. Or Bayern. Luis Enrique is very underwhelming for me. His last decent gig was at Barcelona almost 10 (!) years ago. I don't know, Amorim seems to fit a lot of boxes, more than any other option.
  21. Ruben Amorim should be our 1st choice to replace Potter, in my opinion. He is great tactically, won plenty of stuff as a player and manager, and is well respected by his players.
  22. We clearly have plenty of better players than what they have. Koulibaly, Fofana, Reece, Chilwell, Enzo, Felix, Sterling are great players. Just like Chelsea is clearly the better team between these two and it was only an accident that we didn't get a good result in the first leg. We just need to make things click for once and I am confident that it will happen tonight. I understand using form as an argument, but the overall quality of our squad is clearly way above Borussia Dortmund's, with all due respect.
  23. Every run must come to an end. I think their good run ends tonight, while our bad run ends for good too. When you are a top club with such great players like we have, sooner or later things start going your way once again. I strongly believe that tonight is the night this happens for us.
  24. He lacks in fitness and has to adapt to a new league in a team that's struggling. No wonder he's been underperforming. I am sure that, as soon as we start playing better as a unit and he gets in better shape, he will come good.
  25. I am quite optimistic and hopeful. Especially since a good result would completely change the mood around the club. Come on!
