  1. I feel we'll miss Drogs a lot. They have some really strong defenders and Anelka is no match for them physically. You could argue that we won there back in 08-09 with Anelka scoring the lone goal, but it was Lampard's brilliance that made that goal possible. And we won't have Lamps tomorrow. We also had to defend for our lives in the second half that time. In addition, Villa are great at set-pieces and Drogs is always a factor while we're defending corners or whatever. Ofcourse I'm happy that the likes of Kakuta and Co will get chances, but I wonder if right now it's a bridge too far for them. Hope I'm wrong and you're right though
  2. And our chances have taken a massive hit. I'd be happy with a point.
  3. Yup that was intentional, you could see it. But it's dangerous to assume that someone is a certain way just because he has acted that way in the past. I still don't think the Ben Arfa thing was malicious in the sense that he'd made up his mind to split the guy's leg in two. Horrible tackle, sure. Intentional and malicious - not so sure.
  4. Wonder how much we actually spent on him. If it's in millions, the kid must be something else.
  5. 1. Lampard 2. Bosingwa 3. Benayoun 4. Prosenik 5. Essien Someone in our medical team is not good enough.
  6. Close call between Mikel, Ess and Ash for me. But Mikel comes out on top.
  7. I'm a fan of Sebastian Frey. Very under-rated, probably because he doesn't play for one of the traditionally 'big' teams. Easily among the top 7 currently active GKs in Europe.
  8. Man City is a big probability I think. Jose likes to have money to spend. Don't think he'll get too much money at OT. Citeh though ...
  9. Mourinho favours Premier League "How am I going to worry when so many people have something to say about me? There isn't one interview that doesn't mention me in the Spanish press," he told GOL T. "Imagine if I was concerned about it." He added: "I think that Real Madrid cannot have a coach with no track record. I have won two Champions Leagues and six league titles in different countries. I have won 17 titles in total. There were many doubters when I got here. Real Madrid cannot have a coach without status or prestige and he must be given room to work with." "The joy of my job and career is that it has allowed me to coach in Portugal, then England, then Italy and now Spain. It makes me a much richer coach than one who has always managed in the same place and in the same culture," he said. "I prefer England. I think that in Portugal, Italy and Spain there are some fans who prefer the day before and day after a match rather than the match itself." Many believe Mourinho is the most likely successor to Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, and he confirmed he has a strong bond with the 68-year-old. "Among all the coaches in football, I can say he [Ferguson] is my best friend," Mourinho said. Source - Soccernet Personally I think it'd be fantastic to have Jose back in England. The Premier League misses a character like him.
  10. Ah yes Duffers. Always liked him. shame he's ended up across the street now . Even there he practically carried them through last season alongwith Dempsey.
  11. He hasn't proven himself yet. Hence the attitude stinks. He's clearly used to being the big fish over there.
  12. Drogba has achieved almost everything that can be achieved. What has Neymar done so far? Horseshit. Add that attitude on top and it's easy to see why he isn't too likable.
  13. Pepe = shite. Perfect defender for Madrid. (discounting Riccy ofcourse )

  15. Oh look Ms Whiney 'lil bitch threw another tantrum.
  16. Nothing on official CFC. As usual. Sigh. Terry will be a big miss at VP. It's going to be very physical there.
  17. Didn't know about that. Further proof that agents are tools
  18. How does one ever establish that such challenges were made with an intent to injure? It can't be determined. I've looked at the De Jong tackle and I've to say it doesn't look like he's gone in to injure Ben Arfa. Yes it's two footed and all that but IMO it's clumsy and ill-judged more than malicious. That being said, he's wrong to not offer an apology.
  19. Things are pretty slow right now. Damn international break!
