  1. If Drogba doesn't want to give up his position, he has to go - simple as. Chelsea > Drogba and Chelsea > Torres, and we can't afford to have the two of them mucking about. I love DD even though he makes it hard for me sometimes when he decides to throw tantrums and behave like a big baby, but all good things come to an end.
  2. Good now that the cat is out the bag, let the jokes begin! I go first - Now we know why Rooney wanted him to be knighted, it's marvellous all the strenuous activity he can put up with at 38 :eyebrows:
  3. I like Everton's home one ... the bronze touch is different and nice, goes well with the blue.
  4. It's interesting that you say that because after I made my last post about not changing a winning team, I thought about the exact same thing you did and I wondered if playing Torres from the start wouldn't be such a bad idea after all. They get a lot of men behind the ball and 3 out of their first choice back 4 are centre halves (Ridgewell is played at left back) so physicality would something right up their alley, but maybe pace in behind isn't.
  5. ...And thus end the days of us being the only big club to not feature a tongue-twister.
  6. Arsenal ............ ........... ........... ........... .......... ........... .......... ........... .......... ......... ........... .......... .......... Liverpool ........... .......... ......... Barcelona
  7. Of course. It hurts when it happens and you can't bury it there and then itself but you've got to move on. And it's sad that some of us (not specifically on TC) can't, or don't.
  8. I'd rather Chelsea remain the dignified club they are if being successful means behaving like Barcelona.
  9. LOL it's completely different when a club in it's official capacity stoops so low as to turn on the sprinklers while the victorious opposition team is still out there on the pitch. How does it even compare to a few bitter fans who can't let go of the past? And no, it doesn't all just 'even out' over a season or a few seasons. It's the most untrue cliche ever. Not trying to dwell on the past (I usually don't), but do you honestly think whatever has happened to us will happen to any other team? No chance.
  10. We're afraid of no-one 'cos we're better than them all, Arsenal, West Ham, Palace, Tottenham and Milwall Take a trip to SW6 and surely you'll agree, We're called the Pride of London 'cos the Chelsea are supreme! Spurs came to the Bridge one day, they thought they'd done their stuff Chelsea proved to everyone that they weren't good enough They went two up in a minute but they missed a penalty Chelsea held their heads up high and won the game 4-3 We're the boys in royal blue, we're called the Pride of London We'll always stand for Chelsea until the day is done We wear the blue with honour, keep the blue flag flying high We'll always follow Chelsea, and that's why we're London's pride!
  11. I'd also like to add the only goal of the game against West Ham away. Cech saved Noble's penalty and helped us take 3 points.
  12. Make fun of him all you like, if there's one thing you can't fault about Kalou, it's his character.
  13. You know you're going to hate someone when they project themselves as being something more special than others. I refer to their 'mes que un club' propaganda. Arrogant twats. And sore losers. Had Chelsea done something like switching on the sprinklers in order to get the celebrating opposition players off the pitch, you'd never hear the end of it. But the media and UEFA darlings that they are, they can get away with murder it seems.
  14. Hope the place continues to grow bigger and better
  15. lmao Wanker up to his usual tricks. As if people are queuing up to shake hands with the voyeuristic, obnoxious pedophile
  16. Re Luiz, I think you meant 'libero' mate Add one more reason : Kakuta and Josh. And I hope we keep Corky.
  17. Bingo. A retractable roof would be nice though. And a better pitch, the current one isn't good enough for a club that aspires to play sleek football.
  18. Clowns. They're two weeks off their April Fool's Day prank.
  19. Haha yeah I remember that one - they nicked one off a mistake by us on a long ball (Bowyer I think) and then defended for 80 minutes with us having 15 or 20 shots. I agree about Benayoun too, but I doubt Carlo will change a winning team, and if he does, how will he fit him into our 4-3-3.
  20. Mikel has to start. If anyone in that midfield deserves a place, it's him. Hopefully we wrap this up in the first half itself and then give some match time to Benayoun, Alex and Torres.
