  1. In my defence, your profile doesn't give me clues and I find it rude to type 'it' in absence of any information
  2. I'm just going to rep dodojojo whenever he posts here or in the Drogba/Torres topics, considering our views are almost always identical
  3. If Neymar signs, he'll be the most exciting signing ever for me.
  4. Agreed. If Neymar comes, we need 1 out and out winger while Neymar will be a roaming forward. If Neymar doesn't come, we need two wingers. And Sturridge should be a striker, nothing else.
  5. More than philosophy, it's the moment we're in as a club. Taken over by a billionaire 7 years ago with huge pressures and expectancy to fill up the trophy cabinet ASAP i.e get us on par with the established order in the league and Europe. No manager will gamble too much with youth because of this pressure. And like sam said, whoever is good enough, will make it. Doubt Cork (as much as I like him) would have ever progressed beyond a squad role here. Mancienne and Sinclair showed they're not good enough for a club that looks to be in the top 2 minimum every year. Really gutted about Borini though, the lad deserved a chance.
  6. It's unfair to categorize African players as being physically tough and Brazilian ones as being technically strong. Jay Jay Okocha (I consider him the finest footballer to come out of Africa) was an amazingly gifted player and he didn't rely on physique for his game. On the other hand we've got guys like Lucio who'd be perfect as a nightclub bouncer. It's a positional thing more than anything else. But aren't we lucky to have had the best of Didier - physique as impressive as any bodybuilder, skill as breathtaking as any artist. Didier
  7. Just read Guardiola's statement actually stating in explicit terms that will be at Barca next year. So it's more or less Hiddink, but in what role depends upon that Belgium vs Turkey game. If he loses it'll likely be him as full time manager and if he doesn't then it'll be him as a DoF or something like that and possibly Van Basten as manager. On paper it looks like a good thing, Roman won't go against the advice Guus offers.
  8. I hope Guardiola is looking for a new challenge. He could find no better challenge out there than what's on offer at Chelsea. Anyone other than him, Hiddink or AVB will be a step backwards imo.
  9. Can we stop the slanging match please and instead talk about an exciting chapter in Chelsea's path?
  10. Copa America starts in just over a month. Some thing to look forward to
  11. He says it's difficult to go on at a big club like that for a long period of time and important to have new ideas every few years. Shows the character of the man, almost everyone would be happy to sit back and let those players pick up routine wins, points and trophies.
  12. So will we have the European champion back in London in a couple of weeks? :eyebrows:
  13. Both are monkey-faced. No wonder he wants Harry to stay.
  14. Maybe he was admiring a world class training facility ... stuff he doesn't get to see too often at Sp*rs
