  1. Completely given up on even pretending to press.
  2. We always have to make things hard for ourselves.
  3. Mourinho needs to make a change. We don't look like the team that has a numerical advantage.
  4. Oh fucks sake Chelsea don't be like this.
  5. Shithouse cunt. Glad he fucked off.
  6. It's ridiculous. Look at the Bayern game, they had a penalty awarded and a red card for what was deemed a last man challenge when there's like 2 other defenders in the box.
  7. That's not a red. But Veratti must be the ref's illegitimate son because there's no way he should be without a booking.
  8. The comments section is a cesspool ... for a moment I thought I was on youtube
  9. To be honest when you look at what is happening to Mata now, you have to go back and really appreciate Benitez because it was really, really difficult to finish 3rd with a front 4 of Torres (beyond shit), Hazard (great but new), Oscar (good but new), Mata (great but limited); a pivot of Ramires and a Lampard chasing the goals record and a back 4 that featured too little Terry and too much Luiz.
  10. I have to admit I'm more than a little apprehensive about this. Last season the scoreline from the first leg basically dictated our approach at the Bridge but the 1-1 can cause us to be unsure. If it's 1-0 to us or still 0-0 in the latter stages of the game, I can see panic stations at the back while we desperately try to cling on.
  11. I don't know what you expect when you say 'decisive' because going by the normal definition of the word, he's been just that - "big games" or not. How does scoring the first goal of the game against Spurs and Everton not merit bring called decisive? How does killing off the game against Arsenal not merit being called decisive? There's the Liverpool one of course. Besides, he's missed most of the 'bigger' games anyway - United away, City home, Spurs home, Everton home ... do people want him to score from the stands? I know you'll point to the games at the Etihad, the Cup semis vs Liverpool and the Champions League - and fair enough, he was below par in some of them and could have done better but that doesn't take away from the occasions that he has contributed so stop trying to discredit him. Apart from those, again, nearly all his goals so far have been 'decisive', as you'll see - First goal of the game : Leicester home, West Brom home Equalizer : Burnley away, Swansea home Winner : Swansea home Put the game to bed : Villa home, Hull home, West Ham home, Newcastle home
  12. 2010 called, they want their thread back.
  13. Another redditor in our midst
  14. Nobody thought they'd sell Di Maria after the season he had. Money always talks but we'd need a crazy number.
  15. I must be missing something because City don't look at all threatening to me given how they've imploded over the last couple of months. They had their chance on New Year's after our 3-5 at Spurs but blew it big time and I just can't see them coming back. Granted they have Toure back but let's not forget that this is a side that has lost to Stoke at home, dropped two goals against Burnley, conceded the lead twice against Sunderland, were shut out completely by Arsenal of all teams etc. I'd go as far as to say that forget catching us, they'll drop more points than us over the remainder of the season.
  16. Reminded me of that game at the Bridge against United (10-11?) when his antics got Vidic sent off
  17. Nah, never change Eden. Team first as always.
  18. Beyond awful today. Had he put those easy chances away we'd have avoided all that relentless pressure and I wouldn't have lost a couple of years of my life.
  19. Hardest we've had to work for a win all season; West Ham were fantastic and quite unlucky with our goal as well. MOTM Courtois for me and massive props to Cahill for bailing him out on the only occasion he messed up.
  20. Link broken. Here's a gif http://gfycat.com/MetallicCompleteDaddylonglegs#
  21. Whoever it is has to be HG for the simple reason that we cannot waste 2 foreign slots on goalies when one of them is the undisputed first choice while the other is a cup keeper, if that.
  22. Meh, the absolute balls-to-the-wall commitment I saw today entertained me enough alright. People can keep their fancy passing triangles and third man releases (there are times for those as well, it is doubtless), I just know nothing stirs my balls more than Chelsea getting over the line and winning stuff.
