Indeed. However, they are survived by their enormous revenue generation. That's why their marketing & advertising initiative has been awed around the world. We're on our way to that stage, of course we have a few years to go to maintain our brand, image & stature, but we're on the right path. Everything we're doing now, the Torres signings, the Asian tours, stadium branding, ect. It's all contributing. It's why United are allowed to keep making such transfers. Everyone knows their debt (which, to be fair, it's their own fault ) but like Barcelona, they're safe from FFP.

Of course Norway is important, in terms of what's happened. But I'm sick of people criticising people who are paying respect for Amy Winhouse, because they think it means people don't care about Norway. Of course they do. Ironically, it's the people who didn't mention anything about Norway before Winehouse died that are the most vocal about criticising about those who are saying something. It's blind ignorance.

Confirming Leonardo's made contact with Palermo puts them in an advanced step. Out of PSG & Chelsea, of course PSG can rival us for the transfer fee, however the incentive is totally different at both clubs. One would be financial, the other would be instant battle for trophies.

I don't think it's a priority for Villas-Boas and the Board right now because our problems don't lie in defence, they reside in attack - including the midfield. Defensively, we're a very strong unit. In the past, our shape has required the fullbacks to be more active and more like wingers than in any other. With Villas-Boas there is a less pressing need for it. Which is why we can make do with Bosingwa there for now, and if he's not available, Ivanovic is reliable in defence.
