  1. I meant, as we thought we were set to land Hiddink. Through various media hype and all that.
  2. Villas-Boas has allowed Josh to play in a more advanced role with Mikel sitting deep and Lampard also around that area.
  3. Nice to hear Ray Wilkins on SkySports defending our youth Speaking very highly of McEachran & Sturridge. Now he's complimenting Anelka as a role striker, though he did use statistics
  4. Hope Villas-Boas takes note of Albrighton
  5. It doesn't mean we're not trying though. Yeah we lost out on this one, but there's more Pastore's in the world. Keep calm. Transfers will take place..
  6. Relax. All we've heard is Roma have joined the race. Doesn't mean we've exited in anyway or form.
  7. I think if anything, our capture of Villas-Boas shows Chelsea can conduct transfer business, in the shadows of the media. Only making it obvious when needs be. There are quite a few examples of that in recent months. The bid for Modric was a huge surprise and has not been as messy as being made out. Pastore was always rumoured but at least we did make a bid. If the player wants to chase the money, then fair play to him. So far we've bought young, which is refreshing after our finished-product purchases. The Boas said we'll be in the market after this tournament, but that doesn't mean we've not been in it thus far. For all we know there are negotiations being undertaken, just because SkySports, BBC or ESPN does not report it, does not make it untrue. Patience people. We never thought we'd land Villas-Boas when we were set to land Hiddink.
  8. Well in fairness, it's not like we're not trying. Example; Pastore.
  9. Hahaha Saul, that legend! My favourite character(s) were Tuco's cousins from season 3. The bald henchmen. They were great entertainment. Season 4's shaping up nicely, having trouble getting a good copy of the 2nd episode but I think I've found one. Skylar White must be the most annoying character to date. At first there was a sense of sympathy towards her, now she's just annoying.
  10. Yeah agree that Kakuta should. Should be with a Premier League side though, no point sending him to France. Wigan would be good since they've sold N'Zogbia and probably Rodellega soon. Kakuta will be a good player for them to bring in, be it on the wing or in an attacking midfield position.
  11. That's true. I suppose that will come with experience then, using his smaller stature to his advantage. This can only be achieved in a loan club though, this I'm convinced about. Though I can understand if we're reluctant to do so.. Wonder what's happened to Connor Clifford too.
  12. I noticed Villas-Boas playing him in a deeper role yesterday. This allows Lampard to still play at the top level, without exerting too much energy while being an ideal substitute. He can be the Paul Scholes of Chelsea (minus the kissing of Gary Neville), if he's willing.
  13. Just read that on the website.. Delighted. I though Rajkovic would be dismissed instantly and sold off because he hasn't played here yet. But Villas-Boas has given him, his rightful, chance to shine, which he's taken well. He definitely deserves to play for us in the Premier League. Now that we've shipped off Bruma for 2-years, Rajko will be a good youth defender to have.
  14. Cheers Alex. Missed the game, so good detailed report as always. Hope someone posts a download link soon.
  15. Anyone got download links?
  16. Is there still a dispute between the nations who'll take part?
  17. It's time for Torres to repay that trust we're placing on his head now. The club is placing a lot of trust in him by not signing another striker like Aguero. Even if we sign Lukaku, it won't be to dislodge Torres' place in the squad. So now he has to prove he's worth this huge risk.
  18. To be fair though, and usually I wouldn't make this comparison, Jack Wilshere went on loan to Bolton & it did him the world of good. With Coyle's guidance and his own talent he was able to instantly walk into their first team and make an impact. Other youngsters have done the same, for example, Tom Cleverly. It would be great for Josh to go out on loan and make the same impact at such a club, however I think it's too early. I'd really like to see him bulk up a bit.
  19. It'll be weird seeing this thread locked and finalized after 3-years.. Back then there was 0% chance of him joining City. How times have changed.
