  1. I agree. Like I said, he's not speaking for all of them. But there are those who are fighting for a cause, which should be noted. However it is a shame the approach has gone so badly they've made themselves criminals and that hooligans have jumped on the steamroller. I also agree they should've targeted Downing St, Banks & other Government buildings to protest out of.
  2. Lol. Yet the richest man in the UK is Indian. You scumbag. Get out if you don't like it
  3. I thought you were arguing for that point? If you're not, my mistake (<- Now that's something Daily Fail would never do ) Also, the legal backlash over tear-gas is very iffy in this country. Though it could be appropriate in an adult riot, have to remember these are kids and it could be very harmful for them. Water Cannons are an option in protests where they're trying to move people away from an area, but since this is so spread out, it would be ineffective.
  4. No way Justin. Just like Kostas said, to deal with this in a oppressive manner would be the worst thing this country could do. We can all agree the riot is out of hand, but to consider marshall law is not an option, I never want to see it in my life time. These are just kids, you do have to remember that. And they're coming from the poorest areas in London!
  5. Please listen to this guy. He's not speaking for all of them obviously, but he does hit the nail on the head.
  6. Hmm. I'm of a more passive view (as you can tell now), but I fear you may be right. I really hope it doesn't come to this though. I do fear a gun fight spreading.. We already have those amongst gangs in London, but them vs Police would be too dangerous to live around. I know you mean rubber bullets and stuff, but that's not how they'll see it in the riot places. Tear gas is an interesting idea, but there would be much controversy around the use of it (evidence will come in about how it's harmful for that age group). I really hope things will die down. Yeah true. There's a rumour also, that insurance companies may not pay out because it's riot damage.
  7. Apparently he's expressed his desire to join United?
  8. Because when you bring out guns with the police, the rioters starting bring out their own guns. Then you have shoot outs and innocent people will die instead of having their businesses ruined. Things are not as bad as New Orleans, no-one is being raped or murdered in this sense. Police are the targets which makes it very hard for them to intervene. But this whole thing was sparked by a police shooting a man, so giving them more ammo (pun intended) is counter-productive. Yep. But there's been no shootings or stabbings here, so we're okay in that sense.
  9. But remember, no-one wanted to save New Orleans before Katrina hit. That was their way of surviving, hell, it worked didn't it? Anyway in the US they don't think twice about Marshall Law, but here it's the last call of defence. I really do hope we don't need it.
  10. I'll agree with the first part. Their editorials are quite good to read.. But their transfer "news" is too bogus to take seriously.
  11. I hope I never see, in my life time, Britain under marshal law. It would be a terrible thing to happen. I don't think it will get to that point right now. However if this carries on a few more days, it wouldn't surprise me.
  12. The rioters here aren't armed with guns and knives. There's no real need for armed police in that sense. Water cannons would be a better solution. Speaking in a broader sense, armed police is never a good idea in countries like Britain. It's too negative and plays into the thugish police mentality some of these kids have, in that aspect I have a lot of respect for these unarmed police officers.
  13. Idolising women and money isn't an african-american thing. It's a concept everyone has had conceived in their mind by the general media. And if we're being blunt here, it's not just black rappers who do this. I can name a handful of white rappers who sing/rap the same lyrics. Tbh though I do agree with you, but not in the way you've worded it. There are many wanna be's in this generation who try to look rough and talk themselves up but can't stand on their own 2 feet in a confrontation. But it's not them trying to be black american's, it's them just trying to be brave
  14. chelseayouth Chelsea Youth Arsenal get work permit for Miyaichi - http://bit.ly/osE6q1 - another example to add to the Rajkovic cause #CFC are evidently pursuing. 2 minutes ago
  15. I'm working in Holborn, thankfully got a day off today! I do hope they don't come near there, but at this rate, who knows :\
  16. Thanks for at least listening to my point! And I do agree. While I stand by my point, I do agree with everyone in saying this is a really stupid way to go about because they make things worse for themselves and everyone else. These kids don't have the agenda I'm talking about, obviously, but I think it's still one to be addressed. Ed Miliband kind of referred to what I was talking about, "The issue of deeper underlying causes of some of the activity that we have seen, of why people indulge in this criminal behaviour, is something that, of course, needs to be looked at," We'll see as to how far he'll go through with this claim.
  17. I was talking to one of my friends from up in Tottenham yesterday. He's moved out of these rough areas where the rioting started but still has people in that area. He told me this year alone.. 75% of funding was cut to these poor areas. That youth centres, swimming pools and generally other extra curricular activities shut down. Yeah we all say "school" is the answer. But what if schools not the answer? Not everyone is academic. So where's the other solutions? Where were the apprenticeships, the training, the guidance? Nowhere, because there was no money for that. Meanwhile that same government, wasted millions of pounds flying into foreign countries to mess with their country. I wonder how much that cost them. Do I condemn the burning of houses? Yes of course I do. But there's a deeper issue than "bored kids" here. I find this status someone put up, quite humorous in an ironic way: "Would it be ok for an Arab leader to wage war on England now..saying that it's a broken country that needs fixing?"
  18. Was a slight bit disappointed not to see him in pre-season, but he can't take everyone now. Hopefully AVB will see more of him this season
  19. Lack of understanding over these riots.. Sigh..
  20. Hard to watch.. Also hard to forget the true issue that all of the damage is masking. I just hope it's unearthed once things have calmed down.
  21. Would've been a possibility had the Bundesliga not started already. That being said, if they sold Sahin in 1 window, the won't sell Goetze in the same one.
  22. Not going to lie, I spent a good few seconds trying to decipher what DL4 meant
