Henrique probably hasn't seen Gaby day in-day out. The problem with Abong- is he's 25 now. Ideally he should be peaking this season and into the next. It's a big time for him now, time for him to prove his potential that he's always had. He's taken a lot of responsibility this season, filling the void of Ashley Young & Stuart Downing. If he has a stronger season, he could be worth looking at next season, for the right price. Though to be honest, I'd rather we try for Marc Albrighton, who's much younger and has vast potential in him.

Because he wouldn't develop. Abong- has a lot of potential to be a very good winger. He's matured this season under Alex Mcleish, but he's not quite there yet. To make him rot on our bench would be a travesty to his own career & probably us.

It's an unfair comparison though. Everyone knows this squad is way past its sell-by date now. I think the double in '09-'10 actually hindered the progression of this clearance, it's why we only got a few players that summer. Like Ballack & co. Not that I regret that glory, but it did put a giant mask over what needed to be done.

Looks like we've really unearthed a gem here. I watched De Gea at Leti, and he really was sensational. Barcelona-game comes to mind. So for plaudits to say Courtois is better than him, is a real compliment for him. I just hope he continues to play regularly and doesn't rot away like Delac.
