  1. I'd argue he's always been like this but he should never inherit a young team and people have to stop believing in this long-term nonsense he's clearly not capable of . Like Guardiola, but at least Pep doesn't pretend, afaik he's always made it clear he's never wanted to stay anywhere more than 3 years. He signs rolling contracts ffs.
  2. I'd disagree because as you highlighted, tactically he's capable of pulling off league title wins. Short trophy formats he does dried up but Man Utd care more about the league right now anyway, hell it even worth more to clubs now . Not suggesting Champions League still isn't the epitome of football honours, because no doubt he'll be wanting to win that with an English team. As I said to many United fans, 3 years is all he'll last. Impossible more than 4, it's not his style. You know what's funny, we'd probably hire him back as well
  3. I know refer to Victor Moses as PSL. Pre Season Legend.
  4. No. Simeone doesn't care about such things. Look how quickly he disposed of Jackson Martinez, despite paying enormous money for him. He'll take Costa back in a heartbeat if we gave them the opportunity to. So I don't believe Gameiro will make an inch of difference to Atletico's ambitions of getting Costa back. Like him or hate him (as many opposing fans do), anyone would take Costa in their team. Though his retrospective bans have been annoying, I don't see any difference between himself and Suarez in their effectiveness in front of goal despite their ill discipline. Though the Uruguayan seems a lot calmer since his move to Barca..
  5. Schweinsteiger situation is interesting, hasn't made the best impression at United. Spent most of his time in Germany than Manchester alone last year, while taking home a nice fat £200,000 a week paycheck. You can see why Mourinho's banishing him, it's August and he's not waiting around to get rid of people. That being said, LOOOOOL. That didn't take long. Mou's man management (or lack of) to kick in. A tactical genius, absolutely no doubt. But that ego is his blessing and curse, can work brilliance for certain players but can also come back to haunt. He's lucky Schweinsteiger isn't a United hero or anything because the backlash could have been worse. United fans seem to be accepting of it, give them a year or two..
  6. Indeed it is. With Pogba & Lukaku touted for deals well above £50m, he's certainly going to be a very happy man come end of this transfer window.
  7. But that decision can't have been made 100% by the board. They surely surely must be in discussion with Conte, because it's his tactics that are going to be out on the pitch and so the players that come in have to identify with those same tactics. Then again, this window's gone to show what's been the worst kept secret in football. Agents are running the game. They're the ones who decide who/what/where a player goes to/from, these super agents especially are having their best period of business. People like Raiola who are making United pay him £20m for his services in acquiring Pogba. Funnily enough the same Raiola is also Lukaku's agent.
  8. In all the controversy when it comes to Lukaku-Chelsea, it's often easy to forget that at the age of 23 he's got over 100 professional goals. That alone deserves a lot of credit and we can say what we want about his overall play, first touch, etc but you can't deny that he knows how to score goals and in a market where strikers are a dime a dozen it's what's needed. Now he's clearly not worth the £50-60m that's being talked about, but this is the reality of the transfer market now. Once Pogba is confirmed, price inflation will increase even more. Clubs are getting more desperate now, just look how West Ham have been knocked back by Michy, Lacazette & Bacca so now they're looking and Ayew . We would be incredibly stupid to sell Costa, but if he truly wants to go then go he will. I don't think we have any other options after Lukaku and if we're going to sign him then now would be the time to do it.
  9. Well this has been banter to read LOL Mourinho is the blessing and curse that will never leave Chelsea. One day when he leaves Manchester United, be it 3, 5, 10 years it will always be Chelsea and Mourinho who will hold the strongest affiliation to one another. The support and fanhood of Mourinho is justifiable in my opinion. He's our greatest and most successful manager in our history, that deserves a lot of respect and gratitude among fans. It's bitterly unfortunate Mourinho-Chelsea mk II could not work out, it would have been the fairytale we all wanted. We hadn't been the same since he left in 2007 and we weren't when he came back, shame. But like Liverpool moved on from Dalglish, like United have moved on from Ferguson so should we. Will Conte last? Who the fuck knows, it's modern football after all, not just us with the managerial merry go round anymore . But move on with Conte we should.
  10. Yeah I get you. If Conte can get Costa, Hazard and Willian firing then midfield just need to be stable and assured (although I don't stop hoping Oscar will be replaced with someone better!)
  11. Have my reservations long-term but he'll improve us this season for sure. Under Conte he'll run the ground but he's got the stamina (I pray for no knee injuries). So a striker and a midfielder. Address the issue of defence now perhaps..
  12. All this time we could have been going for someone like Griezmann before these bloody Euros.. Instead we go for the one who did barely anything.
  13. Yeah man, I can't fathom us paying so much for something so average. What Morata does, many other strikers do the same. I don't see anything special from this guy at all, does his basics right but why should we be so dazzled by that? To do the basics right? It's like when people call Gary Cahill world class lmao. Being competent at your role doesn't make you top club material ffs.
  14. Feel this too. Our past managers, including Mou, would speak about the club's willingness to follow FFP. Yet we're seeing it's clearly not a factor with 'big clubs' at all..
  15. This is ridiculous. Conte's got the best relationship with Bonucci but our lack of dealings might screw this up entirely. Fuck sake Chelsea, pull your finger out.
  16. I don't understand why we're not blooding him into the team this season when he's been subject to such a bid & won their POTY award. How many loanees in top flight football receive such an accolade at 20?! We're not talking Championship here. Ridiculous decisions..
  17. What a world we live in when teams like Watford can reject £20m for guys like Deeney... Mind boggling.
  18. Oh man let's not even go there . Just glad it's all over, my bet is Mourinho pisses off Charlton first at United.
  19. £50m? I think you're forgetting Arsenal are the biggest pushovers of the century and no matter how much they're signing players now, that won't change. The minute those Barca execs get a hold of Bellerin, game over. You think Jordi Alba, Iniesta & co aren't whispering in his ear already? I actually think they'll go for Bellerin sooner than later. They're in need of an ultra quick, attack minded, full-back.. That's not Azpilicueta, it's Bellerin. As @LAM09 rightly said, they get their man in the end.
  20. Even Metro Boomin doesn't trust Metro..
  21. Absolutely made my day reading those comments. Loved it when we signed Crespo, I won't ever forget that 90th min winner v Wigan!! Really went under the radar when we think of great strikers we had who actually put on a decent showing for us . Wouldn't go as far he saying he was underrated though. He was good at what he did.
  22. Just like Sian Massey did when Andy Gray and Richard Keys insulted her off camera right? Lol what? All it needed was an apology from the club and/or Jose for insulting her and the issue would have been dead a buried again. Instead she gets public humiliation when she's called naive for doing her job and then told she won't sit on the bench. Yes thanks to her the media had a field day right.. Lmao. What?! . On the salary she was on her loss of earnings claim was actually £5m, that's a basis on her salary before termination x length of contract.** So unless you know otherwise, I'm not sure what you're alluding too. Media attention? Yes we can deduce that from her numerous(!) television appearances and media interviews(!). I won't even begin to ask you where you where see this proverbial 'mud' being thrown...... Yes let's see someone hire a successful female in a male dominated industry who is at the very top of her field. **if one of you numbers guys can clarify this, kudos.
