Of course I'm exaggerating, I'm not actually meaning he's a City player. But he's helping strengthen the Manchester City brand by signing for them. I'd have preferred it if he went for LA Galaxy, that's all I'm saying.
He'll be directly affiliated with our title rivals, his paycheck will come from the same source that's financing City. Short of technicalities, he could basically even play for City if they wanted him.
He might not have pace, but he's certainly got a great ability to dribble and I'm sure his stamina is up there too.. This goal highlights exactly what's he capable of (1:24);
Also in terms of any bad blood between Fabregas and Chelsea.. Well if Lampard is leaving then it really does open to door to Cesc, it's evident those two don't like each other from previous dealings.
Yeah true, but at the same time they're also showing intent on spending on their own as opposed to balancing the books with constant sales. That's why RVP & Nasri walked, even Song to an extent.
And Chelsea likewise would struggle. If they're so keen to stop a revolving door policy they're going to respect Mourinho's squad decisions, of course for them it'll be about the terms of the contract for players and Mou will understand if that's what hinders a new deal. But if they take it upon themselves that Lampard/Cole aren't needed on sporting reasons then he's not going to accept that. Agreed about restricted power though, he would've known that from day one. But I think that power refers to finances.. In terms of transfer targets et al.
The worst thing is, if he does go Arsenal.. They will actually have a squad worth challenging for the PL. Fiberglass behind Ozil behind a striker is something that could beat most teams. Anyway, I think he'd be a great acquisition for us. Using some of that David Luiz money too.. They used to want Romeu? Lets offer him back for a cut-price deal
Lmao even if it was true.. They'd compromise and Mourinho would probably back the decision. Roman & the board have learnt their lesson and understood the consequences of going over Mourinho's head.
What nonsense. He scored a penalty for Spain and missed a sitter from open play that sums up his Chelsea career. He's one player where the system isn't to blame.. He is!
Yeah there's no doubt that if it's repeated then something more drastic will have to be done. Because at the end of the day he's playing in a very important position and you can go too long off form without being indefinitely replaced. I just think the risk is worth taking for now to believe he can rekindle that form or confidence or whatever the issue has become.
Agreed. We were actually lucky, so the speak, that Hazard stepped up while Oscar was going through whatever he was. Hazard wasn't happy with is, as he said post-Madrid. We must have such impact from the right wing and middle of the pitch too.
Not true, Shaw has actually been scouted by various clubs for longer than just this season.. He was also prominent last season so he's actually maintained this for over 2 years. He's a graduate of a very successful Southampton academy too so I highly doubt many people would've been dismissive. The only advantage we would've had is not having to pay £30m because we could have had him prior to a contract extension and then he would've been much cheaper and in an Azpilicueta situation. It's a poor argument. Every top player has to start somewhere. They said the same thing about Bale when Tottenham came up against Inter Milan and at the time the best RB in the world Maicon.. By the end of that game everyone in the world was singing "taxi for Maicon." His lack of experience against Ronaldo (he has come up v Bale.) could be turned around and I can say you haven't had a chance to see he can take on Ronaldo.
