PSG director Leonardo was asked on Thursday whether his club had sealed a deal for Pastore, but he said there "is nothing concrete".

"Tomorrow his agent [Marcelo] Simonian will be in London to meet Chelsea."

Conflicting claims emerge over future of Javier Pastore as Palermo president suggests deal with Chelsea, not Paris Saint-Germain Argentina international is edging closer to leaving the Serie A club but Zamparini claims agent will meet with Premier League side, not Ligue 1 outfit Jul 28, 2011 6:10:00 PM By Salvatore Landolina Getty Images Palermo ace Javier Pastore could be on his way to Chelsea, not Paris Saint-Germain as c;ub president Maurizio Zamparini counters reports he is set to join the French side by claiming a meeting will take place with the Premier League club on Friday. . The Palermo president has responded in stark contrast to earlier claims in Italy which suggested the 22-year-old was ready to sign a deal with PSG worth €45 million for the Sicilian side. Sky Sport Italia reported that PSG beat Chelsea in the race to sign the playmaker, with Pastore expected to sign a deal with the ambitious French outfit. However, Zamparini has now watered-down those claims as the transfer saga takes another major twist. "It's not true and this news [of Pastore joining PSG] is an invention," Zamparini told Stadio News. "Tomorrow his agent [Marcelo] Simonian will be in London to meet Chelsea."

Even if we did sign him he would go on loan
-
"The only thing that is certain is that he is going abroad," Zamparini told Radio Radio. "We are in the decisive days now and I think Pastore is just one of a few world-class players, but I won't say where he is going, even under torture. "The offers are between €40 million [£34.9m] and €50m [£43.6m]," he said. Thought the Chelsea bid was £38 million

Chelsea midfield target Javier Pastore is just hours away from a move away from Palermo, according to club patron Maurizio Zamparini. The Serie 'A' side confirmed last week that an offer of at least €45 million had been made by both Paris St. Germain and Chelsea, according to Football Italia, with a decision now imminent over the player's future. "I will only talk after the sale is completed," Zamparini told Sky Sport Italia earlier today. "We're finishing it off now, so we're just hours away from sealing a deal. I can talk in a few hours." Reports in the Italian media claim PSG are hot favourites to secure the player's signature, having already signed Momo Sissoko and Jeremy Menez from Italy this summer.

With the next round of friendly fixtures set to take place in Hong Kong, albeit under the guise of the Asian Trophy, how are our walking wounded doing? Firstly, John Terry missed the second training session today having picked up an ankle knock in the first session. However, there`s no need to worry as the club have described it as minor and JT is expected to participate in the game on Wednesday evening. Also noticeable by his presence on the training ground was Alex. The Brazilian has yet to feature in a friendly fixture so far but he was seen going through a training routine however we`re not sure he`ll feature in the game tomorrow. Similarly, Ryan Bertrand who come off with a slight knock in our last fixture, against a Thai XI, was also seen participating although he too may sit out the clash this Wednesday evening. .

The impact of André Villas-Boas's appointment as Chelsea manager has been felt by the Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem after the Portuguese succeeded in having next month's friendly in the Netherlands cancelled as it did not fit in with his pre-season preparations. Chelsea's players are due to report back for training at Cobham next Monday, and the Vitesse fixture had been arranged under the previous regime for 9 July, just five days later. Villas-Boas considered that too soon for his senior squad to be involved in what had been billed as a prestige match in Arnhem, with Chelsea informing the Dutch club, with whom they enjoy a close relationship, that they would not be able to fulfil the fixture. That has prompted considerable disappointment in the Netherlands, with Vitesse having anticipated a crowd of around 11,000 at their GelreDome stadium. "We were only informed over the weekend that the game could not now go ahead, and it was too late for us to arrange for an alternative opponent of similar stature to step in," said the Vitesse managing director, Paul van der Kraan. "This has been very annoying consequences, especially for our supporters. We had gone to great lengths to organise this game, and our season-ticket holders were being offered this as a bonus match. They will now be compensated, and people who have purchased their tickets as a one-off will also get their money back. But it is a big disappointment for our club and our supporters." Chelsea, who will offer their own fans refunds and have promised to reschedule the fixture for a future date, extended their apologies to the Dutch club for the inconvenience caused

Chelsea Ready To Ruin Arsenal & Spurs Plans With Double Swoop Chelsea bound Andre Villas-Boas has identified Joao Moutinho and Radomel Falcao as his first two signings as Blues manager. The Mirror suggests Villas-Boas is eyeing former backroom staff to bring to London, including physical trainer Jose Mario Rocha and opposition scout Daniel Sousa. The Portuguese maestro is also hoping to add £15m rated Joao Moutinho to his squad next year along with Colombian striker Radomel Falcao who will cost around £25m. Moutinho only signed for Porto last summer after the 24-year old agreed a £10m switch from Sporting Lisbon. Falcao had a prolific season last term, scoring an impressive 38 in 42 appearances for club and country and has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham.

Promising goalkeeper Jan Sebek has opted against extending his contract at Chelsea and has left the club. Instead of prolonging his association with the Blues, the 20-year-old shot-stopper has returned to his Czech roots and penned a three-year deal with FK Jablonec. Sebek departs Stamford Bridge after four years spent in the club's Academy and reserve sides. He was initially drafted in as a long-term replacement for countryman Petr Cech, but has been unable to make the progress he had hoped. As a result, Sebek has decided that his development would be better served in his homeland.
