Florent Malouda remains in midfield alongside Frank Lampard with Michael Ballack continuing in the anchor role. Petr Cech, playing his 263rd game for the club, becomes our joint second-highest overseas appearance maker. Nemanja Matic comes in for injured Deco on the bench. Portsmouth make a change in their attack with Jamie O'Hara considered able to partner Frederic Piquionne despite a back problem. John Utaka makes way.
