I agree he is top talent, but he needs to make most of his play time. Obviously its not ideal for him, being out of position in wrecking team but he needs to step up. He needs to pick up mentaly and step up as one of the leaders in this team because we lack them. Its great opportunity for him. I think he would be next Van Dijk in Pool side for example. He just needs to show he wants to be here, fight for team and do the best he can.

If he shown growth in defending and awarness he can get to CB spot, given we are leaking left and right. That said he was suspect defending all season long.

Tbh Colwill has all the chances to prove himself. He has game time, trust, was even captain. If we doesnt make the most of it, he maybe just isnt on the level. There are many issues with the club, neglecting Levi isnt one. Palmer is doing fine.

Caicedo looked the part, talented, quality, etc. But not for 120m. Never worth 120m. Not singe midfelder is unless we talk about Xavis, Lampards, Modric, Kante level. And NEITHER of those still ever cost that. Zidane, Bellingham were expensive but they score and save games on their own. Caicedo is just like any other you mentioned, a part of the midfield, a cog. Quality one, but still not one to win/save you games. We should simply walk away from these players who cost fortunes. Kepa, Fofana, Mudryk, Caicedo, Morata, etc etc etc all can be found elsewhere. Unless you can get Mbappe or Bellingham you dont overpay. Even Arsenal getting Rice isnt the answer, its not just us. Look at most expensive players in the world, most flopped. There is maybe one player we can get that is worth 100m and thats Osimhen. And even then, if the scouts did their job, they would find alternative like Santiago Gimenez, Gyokeres or whoever they think will fit this team. Hopefuly the board learned their lesson.

Tbh for 100m midfielder you fucking better be a top player already and not just a project. Its not Caicedo fault nor Poch. Its a mistake from board for paying too much on player that isnt worth that, picking a target that doesnt tick any box. Super expensive, not polished. He may be world class one day but you just dont pay that for a talent. Everytime someone pays big on talent reminds me of Felix. Even if he fulfills potential, thats just covering what was expected for the fee and on top of that you have to wait for years. Pretty much like with signings, we should target only the best that we can get, not every snowflake out there. Gvardiol instead of Fofana, proven CM instead of Lavia, proven winger instead of Palmer, proven GK instead of Sanchez etc. Nagelsmann should be "get him at any cost" target. Poch has always been questionable results wise, but at least he should play attacking football, which is failing miserably atm. Dont know what happens to all our attacking ability, from forwards to manager. Its like they lose all their understanding of attacking once they join us. But its also true, results come when you have defensive stability. I guess they crumble under pressure. I bet most players that suck attack wise here, would shine elsewhere in established systems or projects with actual understanding and goal.

Tbh any player with ambition would try to leave this shithouse if things dont improve. This aint about loyalty, we have everything to build exciting project that would keep them but the board is clueless and its going to happen sooner or later these players will want out.
