  1. Oh piss off, I wonder if any other team, esp. FA darlings like utd, are under such a VAR scrutiny, this is just ridiculous, that's exactly THE reason people were saying it absolutely destroys football when it was introduced - good idea, ruined by monkeys governing it
  2. Lol, this kind of comeback is totally unseen of us
  3. Ever since Roman stepped in I literally can't believe how childish some of our fans are. In last 15 or so years we had ONE campaign when we actually dominated, sort of, yet still some people expect it to be the norm and get all resentful when it isn't. Objectively we are not even best team in league, player-wise, in fact, we are very far from it and that 30% boost from Tuchel-almighty dosen't change much. Mendy came out of nowhere to fish us out from neck-deep poop, and performs 10 times better than any sane human could have hoped for. Hell, he went from anonymous gk from mediocore farmers cup club to world's top keeper in a week. Do you really expect him to perform at this level forever now? Unless he's a literal machine, miracles rarely happen. Even if he throws in 10 ridiculous own goals now there's no reason to trash this guy. Footballers over perform, footballers underperform and Mendy is just a solid player. Football is all about winning when you should lose and losing when you should win. Otherwise there would be no reason to play. No player nor club is forever on top-form winning streak. Look at Barca, look at Real, look at Messi, Neymar or whoever. Sometimes I think what some of our "fans" expect can only happen in their playstation and crying about it on the internet is just pitiful.
  4. Are you guys seriously trash talking Mendy? It was obvious that live is not FIFA game and we will loose the momentum earlier than later. Waiting for calling to sack Tuchel soon, lol
  5. Chelsea cible Wesley Fofana Encore sur le retour après sa grave blessure lors de la pré-saison, le défenseur de Leicester Wesley Fofana a encore beaucoup de courtisans, et Chelsea semble bien charmé. https://www.footmercato.net/a5273481902776845942-Chelsea-cible-wesley-fofana So apparently we are after Fofana now, huh?
  6. About Ziyech situation… we rarely buy players from the hypetrain or coca-cola ad, what causes a lot of disappointment on the internet, still it proves 100% correct approach as all our loud transfers are meh, including Hakim who did shine in once-in-lifetime Ajax season and once-in-two-lifetimes CL campaign, yet there was a lot of reservations about his suitability to PL. I wonder if there was a non-sport pressure of any kind or the analytics team slipped on those. Meanwhile Kovacic, who seemed like a guy to fill a hole proves solid and was a leader of the team for a while, and who-is-this-guy-Mendy is a machine, lol
  7. I strongly doubt Pulisic being replaced in any form - he got us a huge fanbase in US (and he is a genuinely likeable lad with great attitude, from wich dressing room surely benefits) and I can take that for a solid squad player and probably so does the Board.
  8. Yeah, I was quite surprised too. Our manager lacks tactical knowledge? Let's pay to replace him with another one without tactical knowledge, but hey, he's a c l u b l e g e n d Funny how those old big clubs were totally left behind. Buying big names fm-style and expecting them to play whatever they want, with some "personality" motivator as a manager is a model stuck 20 years behind modern top football, yet they seem to still cling to it
  9. Doesn't help himself by choosing options that are theoretically easiest to save
  10. What a nice change to see us getting the job done instead of struggling with bottom of the table teams
  11. I wonder… We all remember Rudi from before Tuchel… Hell, we can even see him in national team. So surely Real, PSG or whoever who is serious player has this knowledge too. Why would they push hard for player who out of TT and his setup is mediocre to say? Would premium wages vs no transfer fee really balance it out? I have an impression that big part of the fuss is some media game either from player or the club itself
  12. I wonder what criteria does the analytics team takes into consideration when scouting targets - do they consult manager in terms of tactical vision, trying to think about fitting in club culture or some long-term vision? I'm looking at Sancho's game, did a quick recap of players demanded and hyped here in recent years and wonder if we would be in bottom half of table or doing heavy battles in Championship if the club would be buying guys this board wanted, who seemed a perfect fit at the time lol
  13. After all, I guess constant injuries are not less frustrating for players, than they are for fans, it's not like they are faking it or are trying to tore muscles on purpose
  14. By looking at some old videos and his spell with RM I'm starting to think that Hazard has mentality of Ronaldinho - he had a great talent when playing here, but talent only gets you so far. If he can't get himself together in his dream club (and I mean working, not nessecarly giving results) there is no reason he couldn't pull some kind of prime Willian shithousery when back here and that's the last thing we need now
  15. Lol, very Chelsea-style corner defending from Southampton there
  16. So unpredictable people hyping move of fallen player, trying to rebuild himself to the moon and calling for sending him back when he surprisingly didn't turn out to be a superstar from the very first minute on pitch. Oh, internet.
  17. Feel like he should pay compensation of those 200 k multiplied to Tuchel if he leaves for making him the player he is. Let's not forget most of us wanted him gone not so long ago. Anyway his mentality had always been rather explosive and controversial, so no surprise with this shithousery.
  18. I always wanted to see Koulibaly play for us, but I guess this train is gone until he is 35 and signs on free, lol
  19. So… He went to defend his player since ref wasn't very keen to because 'zlatan'?
  20. Let's not forget that along downward slope since when he shined under Sarri, his mentality seems to be questionable; Bayern situation was handled stinky by him and his management, forced big contract afterwards, allegedly didn't work too well in Cobham + very serious allegations and arrest, fortunately dropped later, but cmon, he was supposed to be a figure of academy talent, not another Barkley-esque story…
  21. I'm not convinced Russian league is a great place to develop a player… I guess the club is rather looking to exercise buyout clause here
