Don't get why people are complaining about lineup; Do we happen to have any other starting 11 I'm not aware of, or what?
-
Certain bankrupt club has no problem with affording all kinds of shit, so why wouldn't we? 😶
-
If they knew something, it was coming from within the club. Since most of informed people are gone, so is their plug, I guess. Apparently they are not friends with Boehly's people and apparently we were not so close to him after all.

They buy one after another, but still can't register anyone, not even Lewandowski nor Raphinia; I guess they either working on another selling 3% of their parking lot NFT to Nigerian Prince bs or will continue what they doing and drag in until very beginning of the season and wait for rotten federations to let them get away with this, as screw FFP because it's a great Barca mes que une club bs. Of course, it also raises the eternal question what is the point of FFP today, as this shithousery will make their finances look healthy on paper, but at the same time it proves the reality is just the opposite and it doesn't take a rating agency to notice it. But obviously FFP is not a concern for Barca, PSG or City as it's way easier to give us a ten year transfer ban for signing some 15 yo who never even put his feet on field here, lol

I wonder where does the theory that Boehly is some kind of dumb child in the dark and needs to get a general idea of football and transfers in sport before doing anything; Just a reminder that very first thing he did was bringing here Koulibaly, something that Marina couldn't do for her entire stint here and what people deemed absolutely impossible due to De Laurentis + him being a legend and absolutely not wanting a move from Napoli. Yet still I feel people totally ignore this transfer and not see a weight of it. Sterling is no BS as well. Maybe he has an idea of business different than some fans would like him to have, but I wouldn't downplay him this much as a person in charge.

May seem counterintuitive, but after all I'd rather welcome a shift in club's policy and just not buying players when no good enough players are available, than buying mystery shots that end up as an unsellable deadweight the very next window and block real opportunities that come up.
-
Yeah, that's the actual point, not really Tuchel's pull or lack of it (Let alone the matter that he transformed the club and was called a genius, so I doubt players are not interested in working with him); How it's possible that the club of our size and esteem let itself to become a donkey, not only with us being mugged by own transfer policy. Can't imagine Real, PSG or City letting themselves being used as a leverage in negotiations with other club by players who are not interested in playing here. Meanwhile we are publicly getting desperate for a players who are our plan C, who are toying with us, as Chelsea is their plan C as well. Unacceptable.

I'd even say it's interesting how this thread became near-pointless in recent years; I feel like solid, insight discussions were replaced by reposting random gossip and spaming with even more random players from 3rd tier leagues, who don't even match Chelsea profile, nor raise any interest from the club…

Just to remind some of You guys, preseason is for warm up and marketing, we don't really want to get our most powerful 11 injured for months before PL even begins, so be careful what you wish for. I'd rather see Kenedy and loose to some exotic clubs in games for golden hot dog, than not see our starting 11 until new year…

Yeah, just like I said a week or so ago, Barcelona buying 50+ mil players every week, but as it stands, they can't register anyone for a shit, until they'll pull of another shady money flip. I'll laugh so hard if Lewy, Raphinia and Kondue, who we didn't want last season and shouldn't now, will have a holiday of their lives as they won't be able to play in any game for a few years to come, lol
-
This gets far less publicity than it deserves. Hope he will do great here and have a good time of his career.
-
Whoa, been waiting for this for years. This is BIG, feels like KK belongs here. And looks like we're shifting our transfer policy to a more no nonsense one, this is also a good move after years of hit it miss buys.

Reading via Sport1 now that Bayern is willing to sell Lewandowski only to us or PSG, as they don't trust Barcelona's financial situation, lol Not a huge fan of Lewandowski, but this whole saga, including trying to sell him to other club than he wants is utter pittyness. I always thought Baryern as a club is toxic pos, that only tries to troll english clubs or using their financial leverage to f** up their opponents, buying any reasonable player that will emerge in this farmer's league, only pushing their monopoly further yet they still manage to loose games there, lol. It's beyond me how anyone, especially EPL talents or De Ligt may be willing to go there, looking at how they treat one of their legends. I know easy job is easy, but come on…
-
Is there any acknowledgement from the club that Colwill even exists and is anyhow in plans, or he's just this board's hype-baby and our wishful thinking?

Easiest to win the race when you don't know you are racing

Rather see it as a dig at US fanbase than Joghi himself; Dunno what's the point of this article anyway 😶
-
Actually, why should they be handed anything if they have valid contracts for 2-3 more years? What's the point of putting any fixed-term in those anyways? It means nothing, as if they or club will want them go, they will go, no matter if they have one or ten years on contract. If RM will want James and he will want to go there (doubtful) they won't care if he's 40 or 80 million I can understand club coming up with new contract if the player have done massive step-up like Mount or CHO (trolled by Bayern idiots as always), but signing new contracts just for the sake of it every two years? Most of footballs financial mechanisms are just fictionous, dirty, shady swamp
-
Don't give me hope with Koulibaly, been waiting for this for years…
-
Perhaps, but since it's Barca, I wouldn't be surprised if they bought all those players and then couldn't register them to play in La Liga because of FFP, lol
-
I hope Boehly or rather his staff have a plan in place and control of the situation, as for now it looks like we are being a tiny bit fooled from every side possible like a bunch of kindergarten kids

Dear lord, I guess some people had already forgotten what kind of havoc Willian's and Luiz's way of being caused to this club, while Dembele is twice more intense on this, unless he had somehow gotten himself together last year, which I doubt. Now with Azpi, Alonso and Rudiger leaving the squad is in transition to give leadership to younger players and we lack more experienced leaders, bar maybe Silva (whose rather freshman in Chels, although heart & soul blue), so club should be super careful about what kind of character they employ. And then Lukaku causing another dumpster fire and then Dembele and Neymar rumors, c'mon
-
I'm curious why do You rate Tomori so high? He had a good peroid, but I remember him rather error-prone, lost and slow decision making (lack of experience perhaps) and not very good on the ball. Didn't he improve in Milan, where he can be more conventional CB and it's less demanding in tactical discipline, but it doesn't really translate to his usefulness here? Geniuenly curious, as I liked the guy, yet he's a move that I don't really regret. I'd like a CB to inspire confidence like Koulibaly does and him + AC would rather inspire my heart skipping a heartbeat (and perhaps Kepa's too) every time they were near the ball. I also remember Baka doing well in Milan. And Piątek. So maybe Milan is not valid measure of quality. Hell, Lukaku was doing well in Inter, so maybe this city is not valid as a whole, lol
-
It's all cool and all that we are being linked with sub-worthy CBs (and can't land even those, lol), but who is supposed, to, like, start? Are we going to go 40-something matches with Silva + Wingbacks or what? We need proper first team leader who will hit the ground running, not some maybe-so-maybe-no's, that failed in other teams. Don't even get me going with idea that we are replacing Rudiger with Ake (who we sold without any buyback clause, so I guess he wasn't supposed to come back). And what's actually De Ligt's interest in joining Bayern? I can understand we are losing deals to PSG, Madrid or City, but Bayern?? That's really bad sign.
-
I also think Nike hates us. 3's logo is difficult to handle on it's own, so plain kit is some kind of idea, but I'd personally go with black collar instead of white, like 2020 kit. Actually 19 and 20 was best what we've got from them imo, but there's nothin we won't get used to, like every year… I'd give it a pass, especially that this rumored away kit looks rather tragic. That sky blue is not the best color to employ, seriously.

What about midfield situation? Tchouameni obviously waved us goodbye, links with SMS last since forever and we are still potentially stuck with erratic Jorghi, erratic Kova and Kante or rather potential absence of Kante. Are we counting on RLC and Gilmour to step up? Didn't see any interesting gossip here.
