I think while we were way too big of a club for this, the culture he was supposedly trying to instill here, would be well received at Tottenham - culture of hope and appreciation of smallest positives, building a team, grassroots, long-term "vision" and him being an open and likable man, with less pressure on results (they are stuck in mediocrity for years, so creeping up in table year to year is not bad outcome) seem in line with what Tottenham is trying be. Plus, with his view of football and being a yes-man he could get along with Levy quite well. Poch and Mou were more of cold professionals, pushing for performance, while GP may be pushing for genuine positivity, so maybe such twist would be the boost for Tottenham they look for since ages. They are surely more open for ideas and less starving for leaders, since they have some on the pitch. And they never had been title contenders, so what is failure at Chelsea would be great season there. Throw in an accidental Carobao shield, and champagne is popping there. Ofc, he could totally fail tactically and sink under pressure, but still I'd rater believe he could be (relatively) successful there with them, than him and Chelsea ever working out.

Potter could actually click quite well with them and I'm not even joking

Outstanding move to sum it up 😂 If Inter isn't covering his wages, there's no point doing them any favors over the usual business. If we can't use Rom on pitch, he can be send to Megastore duty or whatever. Would probably pay for himself this way, as crowds would storm the place if he was some kind of mascott there.

Kova being fit for City but not fit for us makes you wonder. About Monut, lol, got your mr. Chelsea. They didn't even released one leak of "he'd love to stay" to media recently, so I doubt he's much worried, his tik-toks will surely explode after move.

Let's not forget the new contracts were supposed to be heavily relying on performance. It may as well be 80 base and another 120 in bonuses, difference in PSG he gets it just for showing up. Everything shall be done in right proportions, but since we lack proper attitude and everyone here was crying to letting go of salarymen in our team, weeding out people who only care about money is right move, even if it means missing out on this month's Twitter's-sweetheart-new-world-beating talent. It's exactly what people wanted. The "rebuilding" is also about getting players who really want to play for Chelsea or at least use us as a trampoline to Real.

Almost everyone was happy with TB slashing high wages, esp after entire season of moaning on how much likes of KK, Cucu or Havertz earn, so it's not like super surprising we aren't offering high wages anymore, eh?
-
No way 😂 If he didn't even get over the "more time" bs, we are looking for a looong years ahead… It's like amputating some fatally infected limb - yeah, cutting it doesn't necessarily makes one better, but not like giving it more time actually does help the matter…
-
*for no obvious reason He looks like a player worth maybe 1/8 of what we have paid and I guess it's about right. TB went apeshit with this transaction for whatever reason and here are the consequences.
-
Barcelona and Bayern are gonna be "interested" in every player we (and a lot of other PL clubs) are after like every other window, trolls will be trolls.
-
Some crazy architecture there, super interesting and quaint, but how is that supposed to work in PL I have no idea. Let alone the fact that people heading to a game will block the whole district.
-
Strange times we witness. Good luck, hope it will be a breaking point for Poch and for this rebuilding as well.
-
That Ajax run was what sold us Zyiech, so maybe they Tottenham was just executing karma for us 😂
-
We had a tough year, but Leicester going down after their championship run and few solid seasons, wow, they are having it way worse
-
If only someone buys… I think club was always open to sell the deadwood, only the financial viability of it was not there. I hope TB is not going to let 10 men go for free a'la Barkley, as we are going to get mugged this window anyway…
-
Anyone who wants to play actual, competitive football every week. PL is tempting. I guess in money terms it's the same.
-
Letting him go was never a problem, how to do this without losing 80+ million still remains the problem though…
-
Money. I think his mentality towards this is quite public, so see zero surprise here. His demands was elite, his performance not quite. And surely this way of being is not quite what TB sees as super suitable for his "project". Fun thing about the "mr Chelsea" is that it's his fanbase that made this name. People saw super Chelsea mentality in him, new captain, new Lampard and new Terry, but had he ever seen himself this way, I'm not quite sure.

Still don't know whether it's Mount's father whose butt is being exposed is supposed to make matter better or worse? Mudryk comes from generation that is especially aware of doing this kind of stuff to people is not appropriate and surely knows how to slap the peach emoji over there. HOWEVER, what is more concerning, if it's actually Mount's father in Chelsea gym it only shows wtf kind of mess is this club on every level.
-
Weren't the news of Zyiech departure announced the very moment the deal collapsed? I HOPE it's more a discretion thing, than nothing-going-on thing… Aaand, you have to be either dumb or Chelsea to publicly show interest in unwanted player of club desperate to sell, just to inflate his price…
-
I don't give a toss about tik-tokers superduo playing anywhere, as long it's far away from Chelsea. Sad part is I wouldn't be surprised, had TB splurged again. In other transfers terms, I hope we can deepen the De Laurentis connection this summer. TB seems the only person in the world of football that had found some mutual respect with him and Napoli looks like interesting team we could exchange few players with.

I miss Bruno already

Why you'd think it's not true? Sacking Tuchel was sabotage, appointing Potter was sabotage, but salvagable until certain point. Keeping him for so long only left the barren ground here. Appointing Poch will mean we are settling few levels below of what we were aiming before. Difference is, we have long lasting structure problems and our owners seem clueless, but with good intentions. Bayern on the other hand is own kind of shithousery, with having zero competition in easy league and financial handicap, yet two funny, clueless people with egos shooting to the moon behind the wheel and I'm still amazed to this day Tuchel decided to step his foot in there. The common denominator is both clubs have toxic atmosphere and internal conflicts due to clueless people in executive positions. Still, in our case, it could be patched up if mitigated early.
-
City played the B team, but given the last few months, what was actually expected here, except the obvious? If Lampard cannot afford to play the youth, that was frozen out the entire season, yet may be the last few people who hadn't given up completely, nothing will change.
-
We were, but still, we were concerned about top4, not not getting relegated and maybe qualify for any Europe games next season…
-
I love how in 6 months the club has degraded to pre-Roman times. It pretty much comes down to "Sack Tuchel, then spend hundreds of millions and three years to get to halfway to the level we were under Tuchel". We had our laugh with GP and "vision" bullshit, but with all the money spent and players shifting I expect nothing less, than being fixed top 4 from the first game.
