Sending a message to Inter and Lukaku I guess, or at least that's what a sane person would mean with such statement.
-
I don't really follow Serie A, but remember from Ajax times that Onana wasn't quite much less prone to crazy blunders than Kepa at his Benny Hill moments. Did he fix it in Italy (not even going into comparing SA to PL) or we are set onto another shithousery?

We will give away Lukaku, KK and maybe throw in Pulisic to Inter for an opportunity to pay twice the worth of keeper we could get free year ago but purposely given up on and then proceed to buy 12 mediocre 17yo's from second Bundesliga for 500 million total, preferably all AMF. You know, just the usual stuff.

All they have to do to "find a way" is like, pay money I guess. Can't see a slightest problem in a new deal expect this.

Two years ago, I'd expect a portal to hell open should Poch show up in our facility 😂

Refreshing to see someone exhibiting sane approach on board…

Well, at least "THE VISION" will have an opportunity to finally materialize and owners will be able to act like they were managing their beloved Brighton, aka get ready for fight for the upper part of the table, boys gave everything.

He was free and on every wonderkind list possible for a long time, including this board. Shifting this kind of players for profit was pretty much the business model of the loan army, so that's why, but truth to be told, he seems to have had stopped developing after joining us (so quite typical).

It was a mess, due to accumulated consequences of stopgap solutions, scattered decision making body and Marina's mistakes. However the "player power" that had become somewhat a buzzword this season is something that doesn't sit well with me personally. I'd say it's collective apathy, yes, lack of leadership, yes, but player power? During Roman's reign the only power I can imagine is Roman power. I'm sure he'd never allow a lot of things that happened after the takeover, starting with Lukaku circus. After the famous interview he'd send his ass off to trim the Cobham pitch or to assist with his satellite U-17 8th division team in deep Siberia, if he wasn't exiled from his position (and country). And now Lukaku says he "closed his Chelsea chapter" wtf. I can't really remember any particular player holding the team hostage in contract negotiations publicly. We were way away from the player power that exists in PSG, Real or Barca. Had the team banded together to sack Lampard or Potter, they only done it for the greater good, but it shows they have Roman's winning mentality in sight more than their comfort. What I was particularly amused with, we seemed to recruit players with reasonable character/mentality/intelligence until some point. I see a lot of issues to be erased from this team way before "player power" honestly. Yeah, we were terrible eyesore this season and gave pathetic performance, but I doubt it was any malicious agenda from the players. Leicester went down this year and I doubt it was because players not giving a toss anymore…

Dunno, fact that Saudis are half-successfully trying to buy entire world's football, including officials, during one window is more than worrying, even if they will take Lukaku off our hands in the process…
-
I'd still stand by my point that if our poor and terrible players are wanted by Real Madrid, PSG, Bayern, City or whoever else and suddenly are more than solid there, it means that problem is something else than players themselves. Fact that every promising or basically good player (cheers, KK) suddenly goes full dogshit here only adds to it. I hope this window won't be a third in a row round of replacing every position with more of the same, only way more expensive. We can as well hold to Mount and Havertz and see what Poch can do with them instead of giving them away for 1/3 of their worth and freaking finally get the satellite club together to actually develop the 68826 "young and hungry" players we amassed in two previous windows instead of tossing them at top PL football and expect miracles from random youngsters team with no leader, captain or Chelsea identity whatsoever.
-
…and we agree, as always.
-
Why would TT be involved in this? Bayern's modus operandi is robbing the teams that could create any potential of competing with the in farmer's league, maybe they got so stirred with departure of their beloved directors they didn't notice the fella is not much interested in extending his contract…
-
Makes you wonder how we paid 121 for Enzo as Bellingham was supposed to be out of financial scope and somehow he costs substantially less; It's beyond me how we are paying twice the price any other club would every time.
-
Can't help the feeling we are witnessing the end of certain era in football this window; With Zlatan retiring and Messi, Benzema, Kante doing the farewell moneyball tour (as did CR7 earlier) with many more to follow, it feels like the generation that had been the football for me is fading away.
-
Absolute legend on and off the pitch, and one of last of the old guard, true Chelsea man. Character and work ethic that will be missed here for years to come. A lot of great memories for us and for him with Chelsea, so deffo the end of something big here. Can only wish him the best, can finally cut coupons off his great career now 💙
-
Romano claimed we are in for Nagelsmann and no talks with Poch happening. All those leaks are as good as useless this days I guess.
-
All gossip for now, actually I believe Kante is one of a few players with moral backbone strong enough not to accept move only for financial reasons. There was a lot of talk that club didn't fancy to prolong his contract, so he could be pushed out of the door basically. If the salary was kept at current level, I'd take him on 2 year or 1+1 contract without hesitation.
-
So, dream of a big lot of people is becoming reality - Kante leaving the team, as do Azpi and earlier Jorgi, Silva on last drops of fuel before retirement, just one question comes to my mind: Who is the leader and true blue (and experienced footballer) in this dressing room now? Mudryk, Santos? We are struggling for character and leadership, so let's clear out anyone with any sign of those traits and replace them with most random bunch you can generate on football manager?
-
Marca reports the deal is off and there was never any contact from RM as they are focused on Kane 😂

Supposedly went to Russia to show up on some spartak vs fans show game and take some pictures with Promes 🤦♂️ https://www.instagram.com/p/CtHljxkI6fa/

1994 fake football shirts here we go, TB really needs to sue Nike for doing us dirty since ages if it will be anything like this.
-
Fun thing is it was quite in open text that our board had picked Mendy over Maignan for some particular reasons, so funny to see us supposedly going the other direction. Plus, reading about Caicedo asking price is over 100 milion it's hard not to laugh. Hope Todd is having his wallet deep in pant's pocket and will finally steer away from his beloved freaking Brighton as far as possible. Well, maybe return Cucu first, but nothing more.
-
If Madrid sees a reasonable successor to Benzema in Havertz, who we are trying to offload any way possible, maybe it's time to stop and think what is the problem with this team, as maybe it's not the wrong picks in football manager style shopping sprees every window…
-
I'll laugh so hard if we will sell all our core players with steep discount and in typical Chelsea manner, Havertz, Kova, Mount or CHO will be killing it for Madrid, United and whatnot, meanwhile we will be stuck in the same struggle next season, only after spending another fortune for both CM targets, that will demonstrate how dreadful a sum of three great players can get 👀
