  1. Especially if certain rich team with strange addiction to everything Brighton will come and scrape some more from bottom of their barrel, as everything Brighton is exciting, dynamic and talented and surely fit to perform at highest level possible in the sport 🙄 We are also linked to their gk for big cash on regular matter, because yes
  2. Drop the terrible, tacky, 3d-reflective-shimmer badges and it would be fine. Not too plain thanks to the pattern and luckily they didn't go with white on shorts. But I'm quite surprised that the sponsor situation wasn't sorted out before the tour - exposure in the USA and on first photos of the "new" team sounds like attractive argument to throw into negotiations (btw rumors are Puli already had HUGE marketing/sales impact on Milan) and now it's gone. I guess it has some sizable financial impact on us unfortunately.
  3. Jose 😂 But yeah, today is the anniversary of a transfer that was one of the most defining for Chelsea in last 20-something years imo.
  4. Btw that's something what bothers me since the CHO allegations - I'm aware footballers often aren't the brightest eggs in the basket, but knowing how the word is and that they are public figures, why the hell do they engage in random sexual activity with random people they can't really trust and that often scream trouble from miles ahead, without clear consent and often involving substances. Geezus, shot yourself some bromium or go for running session if you can't freaking control yourself in manner that enables you not to destroy your career/life. Doubt this stuff was ever worth it. And of how many cases of blackmailing etc we don't publicly know?
  5. Well, court is the one to judge, but I'll just note that Mendy's case was way more complicated and nuanced, than usual false accusation for quick cash - can't find any good breakdown of the case, but seems like there was multiple accusations from what turned out to be a group that knows each other and was ruled false, but there was also like two other, that jury had trouble to decide on that easily, so it had to be based on something. Reports of covid parties, booze and substances in some mansion… this kind of cases is usually difficult, painful, not obvious and mean being submerge chin-high in shit. And on topic - Cherki was considered having "exciting career awaiting him" since like FM19. How long should we wait until something to back this excitement?
  6. Maybe club has lernt a lesson and is aware that if they will decide to make do without one cb for most of the season, another one will get seriously injured day after a window closes, it's our typical luck
  7. So when did actually Fofana have opportunity to get injured? If he managed to tore ACL during that two sessions of warm-up runs around Cobham, that's even worse than it looks at first sight. On the other hand, if we will manage to lose 1/3 of the squad during pre-season, it smells of Lampard's first stint and means that alleged Poch's soft spot for physical training and our physio team don't quite add up.
  8. Lamptey, Livramento, Gilmour, Guehi, Maybe Colwill. Ake? Tomori was sorta victim of circumstance, now Chalobah, those come to my mind on the fly. Honestly, I'd rather have those players around as squad fillers than Betinelli and 476 random brasilian kids. Maybe if the road to first team would looked more clear, Musiala would still be here. Funny to pull "straight outta Cobham" marketing, while it comes down to 15 minutes of Hall in Carobao shield game. Always considered clubs that just buy entire squad sorta plastic and I'm not very happy we are going this way, blabbling about "heritage" at the same time.
  9. I jumped from fact of Chalobah being under the knife as well. We were supper happy to let nearly all our HG players go and I won't be surprised if it will become a problem very soon. For PL you can have 17 players + 8 HG + youngsters, but U21 players won't be U21 forever. It's more complicated with CL afair, as you need AT LEAST 8 HG there and 4 Club-grown players. But my main point is, what's the point of world-class academy, if we hardly integrate it's product and pretty much grow talents for our rivals? How do we want to instill "playing for the badge" then?
  10. I surely raised the issue 100 times, but wonder what are we going to do about this? Anjorin is another one to cross off I guess, so if likely outgoings happen and Colwill is chasing his dreams in Brighton we are out of academy players and pretty much cooked in terms of HG players.
  11. I don't really get what this club is doing. Either we are putting deeds to tho the words and emphasize what was said million times between the lines as one and pretty much only rule for the rebuild - everyone who doesn't feel like he WANTS to play for Chelsea in the first place is free to fuck off OR we are tiptoing around the youngster with ZERO caps in Chelsea shirt like he was prime Mbappe but better.
  12. No one else fancies putting cash on the table, no reason to go beyond 75. They don't want to let him go? Fine, let him rot there. If going on USA tour is meant to "get us moving", just pull out and get them moving instead. It's still gamble of a player. We got burnt multiple times with Brighton. I see the mid-table mentality was sucessfully instilled in part of fanbase as well.
  13. But hey, club should overpay additional 25 million over what they are already overpaying, because people on the internet want the player NOW and not in four weeks. Bidding high when you are sole bidder seem genius way of doing business anyway 🤪
  14. Meanwhile Talkchelsea board in 2 years: "wtf why did this incompetent lot dropped 100 million + 923472847 wages on unproven player of snake oil relegation side after dropping nearly the same on Cucurella, both are terrible, we can't do business for a smallest bit, this club is a joke, should have thought of proper Kante replacement years earlier or at least keep Gallagher around idiots, we are getting ripped off every window" 😂 😂 😂
  15. Never been a fan of Rice concept, but if all this ordeal was just for two tiktokers to reunite, than it's even better we've somehow managed to avoid it.
  16. Is he going to show up in empty facilities as everyone is gone to USA? We are the only top-tier team capable of such circus 😂 May be that Conte is the one who knows how to get to him. It was obvious he won't excel in PL as he somehow managed in Serie A, but if he at least tried, he still could be of some use with his physicality. In Conte-less Inter he seemed as indifferent as when in here. And apparently he still can't find his place, as he thought Inter is the one, but apparently not at all.
  17. Goal-jockey, who will tap in one after another, never stop innovating. Hungry means nothing without skill and skill doesn't mean much without being hungry. If the plan works and hunger will be there, we surely will be competitive, question remains whether we will compete for top 4 or top 10. I want to believe, but I'm afraid owners may be aiming for another Ted Lasso story attempt, after failure with "young and hungry underdog" Graham Potter. Perhaps true, yet I'd wait for club to actually get Caicedo in and resolve Colwill situation before drawing conclusions. We still may pull some unexpected moves after that. Just looking at this picture I think Mudryk and Madueke need to step up very, very, very fast to be starting XI quality players, even judging by our last season performance as a team, where the starting XI wasn't of starting XI quality, yet they were below this bar. It's not like Colwill is walking into this team like a boss for free.
  18. OFC Lukaku managed to insult Juve not a long time ago, lol
  19. Judging by Lukaku's actions and what he says it would be quite hard for me to believe he is House-of-cards type of mastermind, toying with 3 big clubs and few agents at the same time in game of 7D chess, but who knows 👀
  20. I guess he wants to see him boss around PL, otherwise he'd be laughing off his friend quite harshly as well 🤪
  21. Well, we may always pull out and Brighton not get the borderline ridiculous money. They are left with unhappy player and no guarantee his price will increase. WHU Wanted 120 mil + bonuses for Rice at one point. Caicedo is still a bet of a player, not Kante, but 10 years younger. I'm fine with the club being bit less trigger-happy with wallet, than in the first window. I feel that people are loosing their minds over him like with Enzo and earlier they absolute best player ever we will be relegated without, freaking Raphinia lol. People seem to be missing a fact that we got cash for players we've sold, but it's not like we have sold them for profit. They have costed us way more, than we got back. I don't think any big club bar Chelsea will let themselves be hostage of small clubs for players that are still somewhat of a gamble.
  22. Thing is Brighton players (cheers, Colwill) seem to have much more connection to Brighton, than Chelsea players have with Chelsea, so maybe they sold him on idea that if we back off, pool or whoever else will come and it's a win-win for them. Kinda puzzle I guess - it's either DDF or Auba and if Auba stays, Broja is pissed. We have five four strikers, three non-scoring and Jackson with question mark, that won't really work, but also won't solve itself.
  23. Yeah, absolutely don't want players a'la Neymar, Dembele and alike near the team, I mean Thiago expereience + the simple value of not shitting your pants in CL games or taking pen in CL game. Not getting carded stupid way. Throwing some shithousery a'la Luiz or Rudi. The problem I see with our purged squad is that personally I can hardly see a character, who could lead the way like Thiago, Azpi or even Jorghi did. We all hope for James, that's one, but Chilly, Kepa, Enzo, they seem rather non-explosive people, but maybe it will all come with time.
  24. Don't know, maths is hard to jump over. Some miracle runs like Ajax in CL are possible, but playing PL twice a week is different thing. Will those fresh signings will be able to step up, create chemistry, develop well and fight for the badge AND magically generate all the advantage that basic experience gives in very short period of time? Difficult task. Lamps laid the biggest blame of our tragic campaign on the squad being too big, but not like Lamps is managing masterclass. Not a fan of Neymar, but still wouldn't mind some experienced player with a name coming here this window. Maybe, but "the boys getting worked" talk and all that stuff about Poch requiring top fitness + our history from Lamps backroom staff to Foo Fighters physios + some of the players surely wanting to prove a point too much are worrying for me. Hope it won't end up in us pressing Wrexham 90 mins, but losing 3 key players for 6 months because of pointless injuries. AFAIR CHO's and RLC's careers were pretty much ended this way.
