  1. Wait, they will play Europa League for the first time ever, thanks to circumstances in table above them and that's it? Geez, some folks are seriously all carried away by this "success" 😂 But fair play to them selling it well as apparently a lot of Chelsea fans also believe they are like a hot, huge thing now.
  2. The countdown clock is f**d since at least start of previous season, missed few games because of that, why is it a news now? 😀
  3. He should have ended our ownership's love affair with everything Brighton if they would only be able to learn a lesson fast. People were trashing Alonso, but he is a super expensive, sub-par replacement. I see some comments about him being great in pre-season games threads, but it only lasts for like 10 mins and then boom. Another example that what works in mid-table doesn't really do at Chelsea level (but both our owners and fans like to be reluctant to take a note of this) and his ridiculous pricetag makes this guy practically unmovable.
  4. On similar note, show me the club who is not guilty of taking a peek into Fooball Manager wonderkids list from time to time 😂
  5. That's quite a bold stretch to call 22yo with one or actually half of season worth any attention in top 10 club under hist belt a "senior signing" 👀
  6. If I understand what you are guys talking about what we are doing is so blatantly against spirit of FFP, that I can smell the incoming transfer ban already 😂
  7. Yeah, the previous loan army was at least cheap-ish/free, that made a return on them a lot of easier. Now we seem to hoard very hit or miss players for prices that are actually beyond possibilities of most clubs in the game…
  8. Perhaps, but isn't the point of owning satellite club not spending the FFP money of main club? Meanwhile Chelsea is rumored to be after Strasbourg-tier players all the time. It's also possible it's just same scouting staff, so they are "Chelsea" in media as it surely clicks better.
  9. I think the thing with Enzo is that people jumped on some crazy hypetrain of him and are circling the earth about third time now. He surely has very desirable skillset and big talent, but to my naked eye he performed just a bit better than most of the team, yet people were justifying his pricetag with his supposed bossing the league and ending our troubles since day 1. This deffo didn't happen. Then some people just went radio silence and some claimed he will shine when the team will be adjusted for him. Fair point, but I doubt we actually did build a team around him this window. So jury is still out on him for me. He is quality player, but is he the promised elite quality, we will see.
  10. Please be it 70 + 15 after he wins Ballon d'Or
  11. I want to believe we will be back to be obvious top 4, I'm not sure if I do yet. However, if we will, I don't think there's big leap from 4 to 1 this time. All top clubs seem do be on bit downward spiral now. City got it absolutely last minute this season, it's not like any team went for 100 points from the start of season, so if a team is lucky, clinical and not dropping points with bottom of table, something we are not quite known for in recent years, I think we could take our chances.
  12. We should formally offer them Colwill for 250 million just to tease them Yeah, except it's our own fans who do this all the time as well. Ever since the takeover I read that "no one will want to come here" and no CL football doubles on that, as we somehow have no way to attract top-tier players… Perhaps Potter's presence didn't make things much easier then, but still it's Chelsea and it was rather obvious this rut won't last forever.
  13. Abha Club managed by Michniewicz, rather controversial, but still, ex-manager of Polish NT
  14. Get in, he still has Chelsea in his Instagram bio, so maybe we wouldn't need to ask him twice to come at least 🙄
  15. Pity what happened to CHO, when Bayern was trying to troll us and pry him away for 45, we should have let them and troll the troll this way. Never really recovered after injury and this huge absurd contract and doubt he ever had mentality to do so. Could be hot stuff if he ever had stepped up.
  16. How are they advanced if the price difference is 100%? Are they going to throw in some extra casks of Gatorade and a lawnmower to sweeten the deal, or what?
  17. Torsion smorshion, those cheeky buffoons wiped all the DNA Ultraboosts in my part of Europe, left only the 1.0 where they messed with the silhuette and made it more ugly and less comfy than 4's and 5's, and stil they aren't easy to come by in adult men sizing, bar the crazy price. Give me my boosts back!
  18. I was huge Kepa believer when everyone was trashing him and I still kinda am, but I'm aware he won't overcome certain level, that's it. He is decent, but not top-of-the-world goalie. And what is more, he is electric. The patches when he is dependable are shorter or longer, but he won't give confidence to the team, they will always expect the blunder in the back of their heads. Strange we kinda given up on Maignan and Onana very easily. I wouldn't draw much conclusions from friendly, but it was exactly what we have since forever. Quite ironic we have replaced literally everything in the team and yet conceded on classic Cucu-Kepa line. Was the goal his fault? No, but prime Mendy was recovering this kind of shots, so did Oblak etc. Fair play for Poch for not bashing mentally fragile player, but if it's going to be a Kepa-Slonina rivalry, it's going to be a lot of frustration. Just think about Cech times - we had huge confidence boost and rivals were already annoyed before kickoff knowing our last instance is this unbeatable mofo between the posts. Kepa is average gk, while we need the statement kind of GK I think.
  19. Except we started to make fool of ourselves in front of mid-table teams after that pathetic Raphinia chase. I don't think the new board gets the stuff like prestige and what you do and don't do in football at all. Or maybe they think fans won't bother. We should have pulled out of Caicedo negotations long time ago, even if only as power display, it boggles my mind we haven't and continue to act like some Championship-promoted team of librarians in terms of transfers.
  20. In ideal world. Doubt there is a team where those who are not playing aren't unhappy, unless everyone outside your starting 11 is Rob Green, chilling on the sidelines.
  21. I still think we should keep HG players ready to put shift. We need squad players and he is on penauts contract. But all this lenghty discussion apart, I think people thinking we will replace him with someone else are borderline delusional. We can't land somewhat key player in from of DM since Kante departure, unlikely we will buy one or two quality CMs instantly. This window is totally different kind of business than previous one. And replacing HG with another "raw potential to be future decent player", I think we can put a pause on it for a moment already.
  22. Still don't know how much, if anything, of a scam this project is, but they are, so far, pretty much like the MLS, Chinese and Turkish league somewhat combined. Maybe they will slow down in a window or two, but it's actually interesting - the wipe out of quite established players from big leagues will surely enable existence of talents and moves that wouldn't be possible otherwise, so it's impact on Euro football may not only be monetary.
  23. Nothing against this business model, what I'm moaning about is that building for future is fine to do along other transfers, but hoarding raw or very raw talents/"talents" for future is nowhere the equal replacement of building the squad for the season that starts in few weeks and it's being kinda mixed up with each other under new ownership…
  24. Please tell me that the "other options" aren't 7 brasilian children DMs 30 million each, who will not get work permit in Europe for next 5 years…
  25. Because this dumb tactic contributed to us being in position we are now and every smart person was signaling it previous window. We already have Chelsea premium on top of every player's pricetag, but just dumping twice the cash those players are worth leads to "yo, those clowns paid 60 million for some totally mediocre player, so we'll start negotiations for remotely decent one from 100 million minimum" thinking. We are the ones destroying market for ourselves. And 70 million is pretty much max what Caicedo is worth. That's exactly what club did with KK and there was no end to the moaning until he was gone.
