Truth is it is ridiculous money to pay for him, no matter if it's us or Pool who does that
-
"awaiting the bid" 😂 We should go cheeky and just lower ours now, shame real business doesn't really work like that. But pausing the long-standing negotiations like that is spit in out face number 2378246. Let's not forget there is a few million extra in Sanchez fee, so we are slowly getting to Enzo's price here. Factor in all the "extra" in Cucu and Potter fees and we are easily paying Mbpape money for the guy lol.

Quite a big chunk of them I don't remember even being seriously considered by the club, but at least some I remember quite clearly stated they want to go somewhere else, so not much was to be done there…
-
Some people are getting so hard into it it reminds me of the Raphinia saga like he was our long awaited one and only saviour 😂 I wouldn't put much "incompetence" on the board in this instance - it's quite clear those negotiations are ridiculously long because that's the tactic for them. Contrary to people thinking we are desperate to get him at all costs, I think the board's stance is rather "get him if the price is within our valuation", otherwise we'll do away with what we have for now, just like it was with Kepa. Like nah, seriously, we don't need no Cucurella to "convince" the guy. If he isn't convinced to come here already, no problem, let him be a slave for Brighton, he ain't no Mbappe.
-
Yeah, hold on - what does Caicedo have to say about this? If he doesn't care where he goes, I don't think he is worth our 100 million. If he will be forced to go to the club he doesn't want to because of 5 million in bonuses, Brighton will be even a bigger joke and some players already doesn't fancy them because of that.

Honestly, I expected Adams the very first window under new ownership. Given how much commercial impact Pulisic had, it would be strange if we'd just let go off US fanbase and players. Don't expect much of him, except behaving well, develop well and keep a huge market open for us. No disrespect for the guy, but that's just how things are. And if he ends up performing great, well, lucky us.

How the hell Paqueta is 100 million now 😂 I remember people with FM calling for us to get him that one season when he was good, paired with Piątek (who is also forgotten by now), but he pretty much went downhill from there. He got three assists in West Ham in 28 games of what I see, so what is up here?
-
Bayern trolling us sounds like 100% Bayern, but them going for meh/so-so player for 100 million Euro, yeah, sure, totally 😂
-
Honestly, no idea, but with our tendency to splurge, it must be coming down to board not thinking Caicedo is worth very much. A lot of people (Lucio, I guess?) said, DMs aren't the players that are worth as much as a lot of other positions, so maybe we don't want to destroy the market for ourselves completely. Now everyone is hyped up on him, but earlier in the window he was considered like nearly-best of the meh options, so maybe club is looking to develop someone in-house or are waiting for better option to come up in few windows time. Or maybe there is other point behind closed doors, but as we all know, if it was absolutely essential to get him, we'd throw 120 million there no problem. But maybe it's not the buying philosophy of the club anymore. Maybe we went full Marie Kondo and decided not to throw hundreds of millions on players who won't spark joy and we are not 100% amused with. The striker situation may point to this, however the choice was as trash as every single of previous, like, 6 years, for us - Oshimen was a crazy, expensive gamble, others were expensive and unproven. GK thing is a mess, as we have now option of Kepa leaving and somewhat strange appointment of Sanchez, still Onana, again, wasn't 100% convincing and Maignan refused us, so maybe we are actually seeing signs of more sensible business?
-
I don't really get what is the Brighton's plan. Yeah, we all know that agents of every club in the world is waiting at their door with suitcases of cash, but if Pool is seriously ready to piss 100+ on Caicedo, just let them. Very clearly we do not value him as high as they do, otherwise it would be a quick business like it was with KK.

Fella is shocked that Rom is still here and not at Inter or wherever 😂
-
I don't think it's prohibitive at all in current situation - Sanchez may was benched at Brighton, so I doubt he is suddenly our starter (if so, lord help us), more like Mendy replacement to push some competition for the spot. Slonina is shipped away, if Kepa goes, I think every talented keeper who is confident of his worth may see taking this gamble as absolutely doable
-
He didn't play a single minute since we considered not worth 80 million, yet drag this two more weeks and he will be absolutely worth more, than Mbappe himself, hype is real 😂
-
This was bound to happen even before we started the pre-season. Intense physical training, players wanting to show their best, playing pointless game on some potato field, it happened many times before, the only question was which of key players will be out for months, on the positive side, this time it's hopefully not career breaking one a'la CHO or RLC.
-
What do we win here, we paid plenty for their benched GK (at least HG of what I understand), didn't manage to troll them on Kudus, drag this bs forever and given they would even accept 15 in bonuses, we either end up with 85 million hyped-up bust or 100 million player worth half of that. Just leave the freaking Brighton alone and move on
-
So we are paying roughly the same for Brighton's 3rd gk as Arsenal did for Ramsdale, supposedly grossly overpaying? That's some very weird relationship we have with them. Oh wait, Mendy was 24 million Euro too, geez.
-
C'mon. Cheap, obviously limited, bought when Kepa was absolutely horrendous, saved our ass on many levels, went beast mode beyond any expectations, not good when no one was good, finally essentially pushed off the stairs by club and Potter for whatever reason. The sole difference to entire team he made after arrival makes him one of better buys in my eyes. And Zakaria, well, another Saul story was to be expected but actually did decent, when played, that wasn't often.
-
But what would Juve get out of it? I understand they wanted to collect fat check from PSG and get cheaper striker in form of Lukaku. If it's straight swap, they only get problematic player on huge wages. If it's swap+cash, we pay big for a player that was previously rejected and is similar to Jackson in good form and Nkuku in good form.
-
But we are constantly interested in everything they own and will soon proceed to buy training equipment from them, yet we are getting shafted and price gouged on everything, so it doesn't go very well I guess. We built the mutual knowledge and the effect is that they know they can squeeze anything they want from us.
-
All we needed there was some funny flute CL Anthem version, it looks ridiculously, er, modest 😂
-
Don't you guys laugh, if it was Brighton who got it, they would decide it adds at least 15 million of worth to each of their players lifting it, the big club way, eh.
-
Poch just collecting the silverware like a madman
-
That's why we need experience. Not joking around even in a friendly game with our third outfit.
-
So that's exactly where we had been when window started 😂
