https://eurofootballrumours.com โบ at... Web results Atletico Madrid Players Salaries - Euro Football Rumours I have a really hard time believing these though. Honestly highly skeptical of these numbers. Atletico's wage bill is significantly lesser than ours despite having 5 players more than 250kpw.
-
Why? Honestly doubt it. RlC fought on even when the likes of sarri won't start him. Showed his quality and got in. I expect it to be the same here. Barkley to slowly but surely get sidelined. With mount, kai and RlC fighting for the 2 no. 8 roles
-
I don't believe these numbers of 400kpw. https://bleacherreport.com โบ 28... Jan Oblak, Atletico Madrid Agree on New Contract Until 2023 | Bleacher Report | Latest ... https://en.as.com โบ En โบ Football Oblak will renew with Atlรฉtico at โฌ10 million per season - AS.com These sources put him at 10mโฌ per season or around 200kpw โฌ. Where as people are claiming it to be literally double. https://www.sportbible.com โบ ne... UEFA Reveal The Top 20 Highest Club Wage Bills In Europe - SPORTbible At around 180m wage bill, Atletico would be giving oblak 10% of the club's overall wages. Nah. Don't buy it.

Can't see Leicester winning tonight. Shu's form shoukd mean some points dropped from them
-
Why have square pegs in round holes, when you can have the perfect fit. 2 20 goals season along with general overall quality from a 21 year old is a great return. I would rather we get a potential wc mid than a potential wc winger (we already have 2 of those)
-
Don't think kai is being bought in as a winger. More as a 8/10.

Puliiszola replied to Tobey Gibson's topic in Midfielders
He has gone under the radar since his return. But I think he has been good. Yesterday too, the movement was good. That last touch (pass to Alonso) was just brilliant. Overall, a much better return when compared to CHO's. -
Agree with everything you have said. Unfortunately given our shortcomings and the number of players we still need to buy despite already spending almost 100m โฌ , I just can't see it being a possibility. I still feel he is not half as bas as he is currently playing. Maybe with a better CB, and literally any half decent LB, he gains some confidence and regains some form, does not need to be the Bilbao form, even the one he showed at the start of his Chelsea career. Timo, ziyech, kai, gk, cb, lb. That's a 300-350m overlay. Plus making a loss on sales of kepa. Plus loss of match revenue. I mean I just don't see it happening. Unless the club has said "fuck ffp"
-
I think all of this kepa leaving is impossible imo. He was bought for 70m on a 7 year contract, which makes his amortized value 10m per year. Basically we need to sell him for atleast 50m to break even for 2020/21, which is next to impossible. Best thing would be to keep him. Build a defence. Get a LB, a CB. And hope he comes good. He was no where near bad in Bilbao, or even during the first half of the last season. Can't pinpoint exactly, but he seemed to be doing well till the city incident. Even replaced DdG as Spain's no.1, did not he? Again, don't know what's wrong with him, or that he is just out of his depth. But the best course of action financially would be to stick with him and build the defence.
-
He is apparently demanding 400kpw. That is just insane.
-
Why would we want to pay 20m a year in wages for alaba.
-
CHo Tammy pedro Mount kante Barkley Alonso zouma rudiger/Andreas James Willy. Please rest puli, willian, Giroud, azpi. Much needed.
-
Was just calculating this after the game last night. I feel wolves will be done tonight itself. Can't see them winning against Burnley. They are 8 points behind so need all 3 wins. So wolves might be out by tonight. Leicester need atleast 4 points from 3 games against SHU, spurs and united, if we lose both of our games. Don't see them getting that in current form So top 4 might already be done for us
-
Aah. More gibberish.

This is some weird way to reply, but I will try to make whatever sense I can out of it (not that the previous posts made any) "Who told you that!?" Umm the fact that he was only started after kante, kova and Gilmour were all injured. Pretty self explanatory, unless someone wants to continue being in denial. "City, spurs, everton... Is that even an argument? Not really it is just information without context, and content sans context means nothing. " Is it not an argument? You raised a point regarding the oppositions and these are top clubs who we beat despite jorginho not playing. Also checked. Add arsenal to that list. So that's 4 top teams in 9 wins. Again, pretty evident and self explanatory of why these names are being taken. "You just said he wasn't injured though " No. I said he was not injured for a long term, which would have made things like form a valid argument. But like I very well explained that these games were soread across the season so form is a moot argument. "That is a complete exaggeration, a person could make several arguments for near any position on the field, I'd even argue that Jorginho isn't even a defensive midfielder because his duties aren't simply defensive in nature." Lol and here we were all thinking he plays as a defensive midfielder. Everything is clear now. Jorginho is absolved. ๐ "There is no proof, only conjecture, just because a team *wins* doesn't mean they've *played better*" Never made a point of winning means played better. Anyways, I am sure such conjectures would be happening with many players, right? We have 35 games, 18 wins and 11 losses. I would love such "conjectures" with several more of our players who have either been excluded or included for atleast 10 games (so as to have a decent sample size) and which gives such drastic results and differences between win% (37.5% vs 81%). Should be pretty easy, right?
-
True. But that list does not even take into account the likes of Blackman, Baker, miazga, baba rahman etc etc. Most of whom are 21+. Point is they would probably be on lower wages and hence still keepable(?), but having bloated wages of baka, Drinkwater, Moses, batshuayi, zappacosta, kenedy on our wage bill would be hard to understand.
-
That will be a lot of unnecessary wages on our already bloated wage bill. Infact it would eat away at the transfer budget as we will have to accomodate those wages too. Not sure though. It's another unprecedented move from fifa, probably to stop ezactly what we do. Let's see how the club plays it.
-
I think there is a fundamental lack of understanding. The point is "the team loses when jorginho plays". Hence the cause and effect. So according to you, 1. The other 10 players play better when jorginho does not start 2. The eleven opposition plus subs start playing better when he does not start 3. Our form suddenly dips and then peaks to accomodate jorginho Well these are some eye opening relevations. Stop trying to ignore the main point and fact in front of you. Jorginho makes us weaker. He plays the most pivotal role in any football club - a DM. The link between the defence, mid and attack. He is the one player that the opposition continuously attack as they know they will get purchase from it. His lack of defensive solidarity makes our already weak defense and GK, look poorer. Your point of it all being just random chance and co-incidence or even "form" would have been acceptable if jorginho had had an injury and we had played those 11 games at a stretch. But we have not. These 11 games are spread across the season to accomodate his susoensions, couple of games through injury and some due to tactical exclusions. So "chance" or "form" or "luck" and trivial arguments like "opposition's" go out of the window. Look at the wins we have had - city, spurs, Everton. So no, Its not a "mere co-incidence". Trying to justify this very apparent link between our poor results and jorginho's inclusion is what is simplistic thinking and denial. I am just glad that FL sees it that way, and jorginho is on his way out. His Chelsea career is probably a thing that he and us fans can't wait to forget.
-
Have to due tk the new rule of a max of 6 loanees. So can't have so many player's wages on our books.
-
I can check that. But just off the top of my head. Man City win. Spurs win. Everton 4-0 win which was easily our best performance of the season. So I don't think the opposition is the issue here.
-
https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11765444/matthijs-de-ligt-signs-for-juventus-from-ajax-on-five-year-deal Around 200kpw. Well he is a generational talent and thats what they cost. If we want an upgrade for a decade and more, then thats the going rate. I hope we do try though.
-
I would love for us to have a regista who controls the game. But that cant be jorginho. He is not made for PL. Physicality, speed. Nothing. Unfortunately our defence and GK are a shambles too, so his deficiencies are maginified everytime he takes the field for us. 9 wins and 9 defeats in 24 starts is telling. 9 wins in the remaining 11 games, it cant just be a co-incidence. I was not happy with gilmour's performance against palace, but atleast we were not so open and screwed with him on the pitch. Jorginho controlled the mid for 15 mins and when the opposition put him and us under the kosh, he went missing. Thats not what a DM is there for. He needs to leave for the italian league which suits him. But the way we are building the squad (Mount, Kai, RLC, Barkley), its clear FL wants 2 no. 8s. He is a mismatch in this system. I just hope he does not take the pitch for us again. For his and our sake.

Hahaha. Ass-man. What an ass.
