  1. Falk has lost the plot recently, I rank his opinions these days at about the same as I do those found in the Daily Sport.
  2. Telegraph reporting that we're serious about Håland. Cannot see it to be honest.
  3. I actually enjoy watch American Football, it is super tactical. I agree there are a lot of things that are far from ideal with it, for instance a Running Back has a average career span of 2.5 years, but it is a good sport once you can appreciate the nuances of it.
  4. How much will we get? £5-£10m?
  5. Well if Tammy does get sold and we are serious about Håland but cannot get him until next Summer, I don't think Silva at €35m (his reported buyout) is a bad idea. I mean no, he isn't world class, but I think he would be 'ok' and if we could get Håland the following year he would either be a very good CF2 or we could sell him for a similar amount to his buyout this year (so long as he doesn't bomb.)
  6. In AM we have: Mount, Puli, Havertz, Ziyech, CHO and Werner (he can play LWF) At the moment we have too many numbers here. If we could find buyers for both Ziyech and CHO then maybe we would be but we cannot continuously add to the squad in areas we are stacked. I mean we also have Dross Barkley and RLC on loan who both can play there as well. Zouma is one of the few players who if we sold wouldn't cause many issues with our squad but at the same time would bring in decent money as a number of clubs would want him. What needs to be remembered is that we have some serious dregs like: Drinky, Baka, Batsh*t, RLC, Barkley, Kepa, Baba etc Who are on serious dollar and cannot be sold owing to their contracts. Those players need to be paid for somehow.
  7. If he has a good Euros he should get a decent loan. Personally, I would be tempted to send him to Spain.
  8. Yeah, I think Zouma will be gone as he isn't good enough on the ball to play in TT's system. Fortunately, be fits into the easily sold for a decent price category like Tammy (if another CF is found), Ziyech (if we decide to sell) and Tomori. That said, not too sure about the need for another CB to be brought as we have: Silva, AC, Rudi, Dave and James that can all play CB, while we could also bring back Guehi or Ampadu to pad it out further. For that reason, CB is a position that is much lower in terms of need than it was 6 months ago. As for a GK2 those are normally easy to pick up. Areola would be my personal choice.
  9. For sure, no one should be getting worried about the situation at the moment, as the season has just finished and we as a club are very tight lipped. My point was more that I do understand why people worry, owing to our previous, and that we do need two first XI players in the shape of a CM and CF. A CM should be achievable, although I do recognise the CF will be tough. So in a nutshell, no one should worry atm, but the club do need to try their best over the next two months to try and remedy CM and CF (even if CM is the only one that they can sort.)
  10. Just a shame we didn't sign him 10 years ago.
  11. Well, I would argue CF and CM are absolutely vital. I think what R2 was principally talking about were our Summers in 2010, 2015 and 2017. At those times people also said we didn't need big investment and we went out and brought the like of Yossi Benayoun, Bakayoko and Baba. For me, regardless of what your team does you need to go out the following window and get a decent player of two to mix things up a bit to keep people on their toes. This Summer requires a CF and a CM and the likes of Drinkwater or Batsh*t (like we have done in previous years) isn't the answer. Like I said, I am not too worried about this, as I do think the club will do good business, however I do understand why some people are worried.
  12. Mate, it is only a week since we won the CL, I really wouldn't worry about it at this point. I agree the clubs record, post a big trophy is pretty dire but last Summer was a big step in the right direction. Furthermore, the club are very tight lipped about any transfers, so don't believe what you read. I mean up until yesterday they were telling us Giroud was going to Milan when he actually signed an extension in April so lets face it, they know about as much as me and you, which is feck all, as to who the targets are.
  13. Hasn't he still got two/three years left?
  14. What does everyone think will be the kind of money do you think the club will spend this Summer? I ask as not only have we got CL money rolling in but we also have £30m from Tomori and Moses.
  15. I am not so sure. Whilst he has been linked with moves, he is also reportedly very settled in London. It needs to be remembered that he has been living in England for 8 years now and his children have grown up here. I am not so certain he will be that against being a squad player here for similar money he would get in Italy.
  16. I think he stays regardless. As a CF3 he is top end.
  17. Yeah, Ugbo will be sold in my opinion to raise some cash.
  18. No, we need more robust players and not anymore weak players. One of the reasons we get rolled over by the likes of WBA so often is because we bend over without a fight too often. As for Martinez, I am not sold on him, kind if seems to me when I watch him as very similar to Alexis Sanchez but not quite as good as Sanchez was at his peak.
  19. Well we should be fairly flush from the CL and we have sold a few players already: Tomori - €30m Moses - €5m and we have a number of players that we probably could sell fairly easily that wouldn't impact the squad too much: Zouma Tammy Ziyech Emerson (if we aren't stupid and ask for €20m) So, if I were us I would indicate to Dortmund our interest and have then drag it out with Utd.
  20. Pretty sure that none of them are. That said, I cannot see us going for Sancho. I think Utd have put in too much leg work now.
  21. If Kante has a good Euro's scores a goal or two and France win it, I reckon he may have a good chance. The thing he has on his side is that everyone loves him. If your voting and are 55 to 45 Lewa v Kante you probably will still give Kante the vote because he is adorable.
  22. A sale to Lazio in conjunction with SMS coming here would be great. What makes me laugh is there are people who think we can sell this bloke. £110k a week means he is unsellable as no one else is going to match his wages. RLC and Barkley will also come under this category moving forward.
  23. When we have 60%+ of the ball, Alonso is fine and actually handy as he overloads the back post and finds space in the box, two things he is much better than Chilwell. For me, having Alonso as the LWB option for the bottom half of the PL and domestic cups is fine. Also, not sure who people are expecting us to get to replace him with as anyone that comes in has to accept being behind Chilwell.
